They arrived right on the dot. They were friendly and professional. They cleaned up all debris after the installations. The price quoted over the phone was exactly what I paid. Overall, a very satisfying experience!

Everything from phone manners to the work and clean up was very professional. Only off point was showing up at 8am instead of 4:30pm. Worked out fine, as it was a full days work anyway. Also, the sight unseen, over the phone estimate was much lower than the actual bill ($500 vs. $750) but excusable given the quality of work. They replaced a missing junction box at another outlet for me at no additional charge.

I attempted to troubleshoot the doorbell problem myself and called them when the issue became too complicated. They figured out the problem quickly and ran wire through the attic and installed a new chime. To save money, I bought the parts myself.

I was very satisfied with their work. The price seemed reasonable- under $150. I may have them back for some additional work. I would definitely recommend them to others.

The Electric Connection, from my first conversation with Luis on the phone, to the estimate (by Hugo), to the work being done by Alex Soriano and Hector Armenta, was completely professional! They stand head and shoulders above any experience I've had with electricians in the last 20 years. They were punctual and priced right in the upper middle range of the estimates we received. I chose this company by the company that was going to install the new furnace and central air. I thought that the person that they sent was very nice and we ended up having the whole house done. They worked from morning till evening. It took them only four days to do the job. I feel that they go above and beyond. They respected my home and pet and were neat.

They were nice, efficient, and not too expensive. They schedule a few days ahead, unless it's a "service call", so keep that in mind in case you need someone immediately.

They were parked outside my house before the scheduled appointment time of 9am. They completed the work in less than 15 minutes and cleaned away all debris. They studied my electrical panel and gave me estimates on several other electrical projects I am considering.

I had recently replaced a room air conditioner and it was tripping the circuit breaker. As I had checked the specs of the new machine before I purchased it and my office met the specs, I called this company. They came out promptly and checked out the situation and explained that due to the distance from the air conditioner to the electrical panel, I was losing amperage. So Robert changed the old 15 amp circuit to a 20 amp. He wasn't sure this would be enough so he told me that if it wasn't, he would have to run a new circuit with heavier gage wire. After he left the circuit breaker flipped again and I called for an estimate on the new circuit. I was quoted $1200. I thought this was very high for the size of the job. I went back to Angie's List and got another estimate from another electric company of "not to exceed $550". The other company did an excellent job for $428, with 2 workers taking 3 and a half hours including installing an attic exhaust fan, a problem the Electric Connection missed. I had used the Electric Connection for a a job I did two years ago and had a coupon for $20, so they actually charged me $105 to change the circuit breaker--a 10 minute, one man job (not including travel time). Robert was personable and efficient.

On a Friday evening, at the beginning of a long heat wave, one leg of our old electrical panel went out, including the air conditioner circuit. We went to Angie s List and selected three local electrical companies with overall A ratings. We went to cslb.ca.gov and checked their licenses. Monday morning, I called the first two companies -- and got their answering machines. Then I called The Electric Connection and was put right through to Kim, the owner. We discussed upgrading to 200 amp service, which would require a new panel box -- which would first require a DWP inspector to come out and spot placement for the new box. Kim explained they normally don t give an estimate before the box is spotted, but because we were without A/C in the extreme heat, he arranged for Hugo to be at our home within an hour to give us their estimate, which was in line with what other members had paid for similar jobs. Kim also contacted the DWP inspector, who came and spotted the box the following Wednesday afternoon. The next morning, Ernie showed up on time with Balthasar, his junior technician. Even though we put up tarps to screen the sun, it got up to 112 degrees. They worked all day in the heat and never once complained or faltered in their work. By the end of the day, they had the new electrical panel installed with all circuits working -- including the A/C! They returned the following Wednesday and Thursday and installed the new circuits and fixtures. Their indoor work included covering all nearby surfaces with plastic. All holes were patched. They cleaned up at the end of each day. Their attention to detail was impressive. And Ernie is a true craftsman. He was meticulous about performing all work to code. The building inspector was pleased with their work and passed the job without question. Wendy followed up and made sure we received copies of the permit and proof of final inspection. There s a reason this company has earned A ratings. Everyone in the company, including the office staff, is about service, from the top down. They take the customer s needs to heart. I was confused about what kind of spotlight to buy for my art collection. I called after closing time and the receptionist put me on with the owner who told me exactly what I needed so that when I went to Lamps Plus, I purchased exactly the right fixtures and dimmers and bulbs. The next day, Alex and Hector arrived early (the dispatcher called and asked if that was okay) in the cleanest truck I've ever seen. It looked brand new. They did the work beautifully, consulted me about proper positioning, patched the ceiling holes nicely, and cleaned up after themselves. When I needed 60 watt bulbs and a new switch plate, they had them in their truck which was much appreciated. I couldn't have been happier with the whole experience.

They came early in the morning before my cabinets were installed. They figured out the power source for the lights and removed the wires. They worked quickly and were very kind when the cabinet installers started to work in the very small kitchen.

They were very professional. They had to come back twice. They were very courteous. They cleaned up everything so well. He picked up all of the little crumbs. He was very friendly and thorough. He checked all of the outlets instead of the one where he had to go way into the attic. The outlet was broken and he should have checked.

They came that same day and gave me a written estimate and offered to do the job immediately. They finished when they said they would and left the room cleaner than they found it. I received a follow up call a few days later to make sure that I was happy and I thought that was a really nice touch!

They did very well because they were prompt and they charged me the quoted amount. They had to come twice because I changed my mind about the work that I wanted done, but they did it in a timely matter.

I've used Electric Connection for two other projects in the past with excellent results, so there was no question about using them again. I requested a rough phone estimate, and as part of that received itemized quotes for different tasks (such as replacing an existing light fixture, or cost per foot to run new insulated wiring from the electric panel to a wall outlet for a new circuit), so that I could adjust my guess for price as I changed my mind about what I wanted to do. The first firm quote based on an on-site look at the location came in quite a bit higher than the phone estimate, but that was because I tripled the number of light fixtures I wanted to replace and added the requirement for a switched wall outlet in the living room, which involved running a lot of wire through existing walls. The quality of the work was excellent. The crew arrived slightly early, worked quickly and efficiently, did everything I asked for, performed all work to code (this is important!), finished in less than a day, and cleaned up all debris afterward. Everything worked as intended; there were no issues or callbacks. Electric Connection may not be the cheapest outfit on the planet, but you get exactly what you pay for. I highly recommend them.

Great from start to finish. They arrived on time and ready to work. Were extremely neat: they laid down tarps and covered things as needed with plastic, even used painters tape. The price was exactly as quoted. They did a terrific job on all the services. What a rarity to find a company who does things right.

From the start I was thrilled with the professionalism of The Electric Connection. Hugo came to assess the work and spent a few hours checking every room in my house and explaining his work as he went along. He made recommendations, promptly gave me an estimate and the work was booked around my schedule. The work was done by Ernie and two helpers. Every day they showed up on time, were considerate of me, and my pets. Ernie asked if he could leave some items out for the next day, and when I explained about my pets(all curious cats) he cleaned up completely every day and even taped over all the holes so that my cats were safe. I'm very pleased with this company. I will be using them for future projects! Thanks to The Electric Connection and to Angie's List for making this a good experience.

It went great. I called them in the afternoon to inquire about doing the job & they scheduled for the next morning. They suggested I purchase my own replacement from a home improvement store that night to save money & they would install it. Luis was there at 8 a.m to start but I told him I couldn't find a unit that would work at the home improvement store. He came in, looked at the old unit & opened up the switch to check the wiring. He gave me the name of a electrical supply store nearby that also sold retail (he said he could buy it for me but would have to add a mark-up) & said I could call back when I was ready. No charge for the trip. I called a week later & again they came out the next morning. They put down some tarp to protect my carpet and plastic sheeting in the bathroom to catch any debris. They actually had to go into the attic to secure the new unit. It took 2 hours start to finish & they were very careful to cleanup before they left. I am very pleased to say the least.

Far exceeded expectations. I got a quote before the holidays & when I tried to schedule, I learned the 1st person I spoke to had misquoted the price, but they agreed to honor what I had originally been told. GREAT! They were very clear upfront what was fixed price (e.g., outside fixture) vs. service call charged on a time & materials basis (e.g., outlet repair). GREAT! I was uncertain whether I wanted them to do some of the work (e.g., rewiring outdoor outlet), so I first asked for a quote. Was told $150.00, as he wasn't certain how long it would take. I agreed, and shortly after he started he said it wouldn't be as hard as 1st thought and ended up costing $44.00. GREAT! Final bill line itemed the various jobs, which ended up costing less than expected because the 2-man team was very efficient, so total bill was $300.00 less than I had expected from the 1st quote. GREAT! Clearly explained the problems they fixed. GREAT! Offered clear quotes on some add'l projects. GREAT!
