The Electric Connection

After a small fire in a flourescent light fixture in our garage, we decided to hire an electrician to repair that and additional repairs we had been putting off: heat lamp fixtures and venting fan in laundry room. The two Electric Connection employees arrived on time, reviewed all the work, and gave me an estimate for both repairs and for replacements. I decided to make some repairs and some replacements. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The employees cleaned up their mess and took away the old fixtures. They even offered to do some patching of the holes the made, but since we will be painting those bathrooms, we declined their offer in order for the painters to do the job. I was very pleased with the service and professionalism of this company.

They were great. Arrived right on time. Did the work quickly and well. They left my house cleaner than before they got here...even vacuumed.

We were having surges, damaging surge protectors and equipment, lights were flickering and one circuit completely lost power. John from the electric connection came out for troubleshooting our problems. He spent a couple hours testing connections and outlets, replaced 2 burnt breakers in the main panel, swapped out a faulty switch and moved and repaired a poorly wired receptacle where the majority of the damaged equipment was located. When power was restored to the circuit, it didn't seem to be flickering any longer. Unfortunately the flickering came back a few days later, being in troubleshooting fields in the past, I understood there could be multiple causes for problems so I wasn't upset or put out. We called and rescheduled a follow-up visit, since we could now consistently replicate the light flickering. John came back out, figured out almost immediately where the issue was, replaced another faulty breaker and fixed the arcing that was causing our problems. Been several weeks since, and no more flickering. Can't stress how professional and easy he was to deal with and was very patient, taking the time to fully answer all my questions.

As promised, Luis called between 10 and 12 to say the electrician was on his way and would be at my home within half an hour. Once he arrived, I explained the problem and he worked about two hours to diagnose and solve the issue. Overall service was quite professional and friendly. I'm very satisfied and would not hesitate to call this contractor again with any additional electrical issues.

I would recommend them. They cleaned up any mess. They were very patient in working with me on the height. They gave an estimate to re-wire the house. They called with a followed up to make sure I was pleased with the hanging.

Electricians came and changed out outlets that had stopped working. However, they had to come out again as the key problem (I would get a shock when I tried to access an outlet) was not fixed the first time. They came out again, discovered there was a problem deeper in the wiring, and fixed it. They were very courteous and professional but I didn't like the hassle factor of having them out twice. Requested a bid for rewiring entire house, but they have not responded.

They were supposed to arrive between 2:00-4:00 but didn't get there until 4:15. They didn't have the parts that I described that I would need over the phone so after waiting home for several hours, they had to return the next day. The lead guy was very professional but his trainee (assistant) cracked the light switch's face plate and if I hadn't noticed, he wouldn't have said anything. Also, the assistant worked on one timer while the lead man worked on the other. The workspace where the assistant worked was left a mess with all the old parts laying around on the counter. Also, according to Angie's List, the company offered coupons. When I asked the tech about it, he was unaware. After paying the bill, I called the office to ask about a discount and they said I should have received one and they'd send me a check for the amount discounted. I would probably try them again because I really liked the head technician who came to the house. He was very professional and courteous.

I phoned, received an estimate on the telephone. They arrived early (after calling to see if that was OK with me) were clean and polite. A good experience!

Overall, for the price, they did an excellent job. There were some minor challenges, but I think those can be attributed to our house than anything they had to deal with. I'm not real big on electricians anyways, so I would never give an electrician an A.

They were professional, courteous, and friendly from my first inquiry call through the end of the job. The only reason that I gave a B for price is because the final amount we paid was almost twice the original estimate.

When I called to get an estimate the person on the phone advised me that I could save money by buying a universal fan remote, thus negating the need to install a wall switch. This saved over $100 on the job. They arrived on time, were pleasant and efficient, took care with the room furnishings (covering everything) and cleaned up completely. I will definitely use them again for future electrical needs.

They were very punctual and professional. They showed up when promised and their estimator was very thorough and knowledgeable. They took one day to make all electrical work and left everything clean afterwards.

They are professional and prompt. They were quick getting the quote back to us. We will probably end up using them.

They were great. They were on time and did a fast and professional job. FYI, I originally had them quote an additional job (at the same time) for an entire kitchen re-wire. My brother and I were doing the remodel and although their quote was reasonable my brother convinced me that he could do the work, and when I agreed with Electric Connection to only do the panel itself and not the entire job they were totally OK with that; I really respect that they didn't mind only doing part of the job, which they did great!

Very willing to come out and do an estimate at a moment's notice when we needed it. The work was performed a week later, at our request. Luis was efficient and professional. Price seemed fair. There was a miscommunication about what we needed to have done before he came back out to do his part of the job, but that could have been a minor language issue or just the chaos at the time, since the work we needed was unexpected and hurried.

The electrician was very knowledgeable and professional. He ran the conduit in the trench, added the correct breakers for safety, added a switch for the pool light and added the new timer. This took about 8 hours to do. One very nice thing he did was add a 220 line. Right now my pool equipment is old and runs on a 120. He told me that new pool equipment runs on a 220, so when we eventually upgrade we would need the 220. Since he put it there already, when we upgrade the pool equipment we won't have worry about that. We won't incur the extra cost or have to dig up my plants around the pool. I thought this was very proactive of him. He did a nice clean job and was very professional.

I called on Thursday and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Robert came and worked around other workmen including the granite installer. Robert was professional, explained and outlined all the work that needed to be done and was an all around great person.

Easy scheduling, prompt arrival and completion of work. Simple job, simply completed. Mo muss, no fuss.

Kim (the owner) is an absolute pleasure. I had total confidence in his ability to evaluate the status of the old wiring/fuses and give us truthful advice as to whether or not the work needed to be done. He and his entire staff were efficient, pleasant, knowledgeable. It was not an easy job because people were living in one of the apartments while the work was ongoing. The workers made every effort to disturb the tenants as little as possible. They cleaned up each day when their workday was finished. Kim or someone at the company was always available by phone as the little inevitable questions came up during the course of the job. In every instance someone got back to me promptly and answered my questions. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company - would absolutely use them again - and will recommend them to everyone I know.

I had already purchased the can lights and fixtures to be installed and was therefore able to save some money. When we were having another project done by the company, they bid out this job and I found the price to be acceptable. They completed the work and I was happy with how everything turned out. It is amazing how proper lighting can change a space - especially a kitchen. The ceiling patching was done well too and after repainting the ceiling (we did this ourselves), one would never know there used to be recessed fluorescent fixtures there.

I hired this company based upon the reviews on Angie's List. The process was very smooth. We had the work bid out and they stuck to their original quote. After they left, I realized a few changes needed to be made-upside down socket, wrong switch controlling light, etc. I called the office and they came back the next day and took care of everything I requested.

Very pleasant experience. Luis listened to my concerns, made solid, sensible recommendations, and returned to do the work promptly and efficiently. Didn't try to upsell me but, was able to do everything I added to the project. Would definitely use them again.

Two electricians arrive within an hour of the scheduled time and got right to work. Both were friendly and willing to explain things to me. Our inspector had correctly identified that there was exposed wiring, but when the guys went under the house and into the attic, they were appalled to find out just how many wires were exposed. They ended up spending twice as much time on this issue as anticipated. When I asked them to give me info on the outside wiring so that I would know what to tell the gate repair people, they worked hard to trace and repair wiring from under the house to the junction box by the gate. In the end, we all decided that doing this right was another half day's work, but they did give it a serious try. A 3-hour job turned into a 7-hour job anyway. I know those guys were working through dinner, and as far as I know, their childrens' soccer games, because they didn't stop and they didn't complain. They stopped halfway through to give me a revised estimate and the choice to do some of the extra work or not. I don't know much about electrical work, so I am not qualified to comment on quality, but hey- everything is working!
