The Electric Connection

I called Electric Connection on Thursday (9.10) planning to have it done ASAP. I talked to Kim who questioned about if I really needed a new one. On Monday (9.14), Luis called to set up an appointment on Wednesday (9.16) 1 pm. Hugo came and inspected the breaker/meter in detail. To my surprise, he told me that I didn?t need a new one which could have cost me around $3,000. We shook hand and he left. Frankly, if the verdict was to replace it, I would just go along. They are just honest people, period. From now on, we definitely know to call when we have electrical problems.

They gave $100 discount because of Angies list. We went with them because they were highly rated on Angies list. They were very responsive. They were punctual and professional.

Tenant called me in the morning saying that the power to the second floor of the house is out. Looked up the Electric Connection on Angie's list. Saw the reviews and decided to give them a try. I described the problem to them and they promptly sent a technician out same day and had the problem fixed by the afternoon. Great experience and would highly recommend

Great. They had a cancellation and were able to make the service call the same day I called. I asked for an estimate to put lights in the utility cabinet, and The technician gave me a cost-effective solution to my problem by installing an outlet and telling me how to install an undercounter/shelf light. Plus, they didn't mind having my 3-yr.-old boy watch the work being done.

It went well. They were on time, very professional, knew what they were doing and efficient.

it went poorly though they tried to make it right. i took a small discount and moved on. i needed a handyman who could do the various tasks related to installing a plasma tv above the fireplace. i thought i was doing a good thing by being willing to pay more for an electrician. instead i got a more expensive service that defines its work more narrowly. the worker who did the work left the plasma off-center above the fireplace after making the assumption that the bracket would adjust to accomodate off-center studs. having put all the holes in the wall based in the incorrect asuption, he just finished the job poorly rather than bring in others from the company to solve it. i had to get the owner involved when the off-center plasma was left that way with no mention by the workers. the owner offered to have the same worker open up my wall and put additional supports in. this is the worker who messed it up the first time, so i agreed to a few hundred dollars off a two thousand dollar charge and will get the handyman i originally needed. i'm sure these folks do fine electrical work, but they were not the one-stop shop they agreed to be.

The electricians from Electric Connection were really good. They were really professional and I thought they did a good job. They kept things clean and the prices were reasonable.

theses guys are the best. i have used them several times and they are always honest, on time and have very competitive price wise! i had sme outlets and lighting go out but none of the circuit breakers had blown, which means it was somewhere in the wiring which i didn't want to get involved in. i called them that morning and they had a technician out to my house 2 hours later. he came out, found and fixed the problem and was done in 20 minutes! thats the way it should be!! great service with well trained electricians who know what they are doing. it saves you time and money!! would highly recommend this company!!

Called and got the guys to come out the same day. They did both jobs quickly and correct.

I'd been having flickering problems with my microwave and some ceiling lights for the past 1-1/2 years but neglected to do anything about it. I switched the lights in the kitchen on one night and everything connected to that breaker went dark. I called The Electric Connection the very next morning, and they gave me a two-hour window. I was shocked at how quickly Bob dispatched Omar and Raul... I was expecting to spend the weekend walking around my house with a flashlight. They called to reconfirm and arrived at the beginning of the two hours. They were consistently polite, patient, and professional. They quickly diagnosed the problem, checked for faulty wiring, examined the main circuit breaker box, and provided an estimate. They covered areas of the house that they were working around with protective tarp. They worked very fast, even though Omar had to climb into my attic, which is very difficult to navigate. Raul indulged my request to test the wiring in my kitchen, which had been worked on by a different electrician. It all checked out OK but Raul showed me that one of the outlets wasn't functioning properly - fortunately I had a spare that he used to replace it. They showed me the wiring and the breaker that had burned black. They explained to me why I might want to replace the old main circuit breaker box, and also the steps involved (since it would involve inspectors). They gave me a detailed estimate. I have a bit of a phobia with hiring contractors because I've had some bad experiences (which is why I put this off until it turned into a crisis). With the Electric Connection, it was a night-and-day experience. Everything was in working order within 12 hours of the start of the problem.

Robert showed up on time, clean and friendly. Explained as he went. Took the shortest route to completing the job efficiently and cleaned up.

I called the company Monday morning and explained the problem. We set up an appointment for Tuesday morning. They called ahead to confirm time and arrived promptly. I explained what was happening and Robert and Julio checked the outlet and then the circuit breaker box and determined that the circuit breaker was causing the problem. They checked all the other circuit breakers and replaced the one that was the problem. I have not had any problems since.

They were very good. The man came out was very pleasant and got the work done. He made recommendations to make the problem better. The only bad part was that I had to call the company because no one was showing up in the beginning, they did eventually find a technician to come out.

They were great on the phone and their prices seemed fine. I explained that this small job was a sort of trial -- if they did well, we had a ton more work. The time slot was 12-2 and my husband came home from work specifically for this. He called them to check and they said that their guys would be there. At 2PM he left. They called and said they'd be about 15 minutes late (at 2PM) and he thanked them for wasting his day.

Did an excellent job of updating everything from the original 1912 wiring and were very easy to negotiate with on any details. Always quick and punctual from the day I got the estimate on. Always started work outside first as to not disturb me until they had to. They must have a good relationship with the city inspector b/c he came very quickly both before and after the job. I've heard that is not always the case. Maybe just a little bit hasty with the clean up and a few small patch ups but overall everyone was very easy to get a hold of and true to their word. The quality of work was high and the price was excellent.

The electrician installed the ceiling fan and fixed the 3-way light as asked and was very informative about our options. Also he explained why the 3-way light was not working. Overall a very pleasant experience, I would use them again.

I love these guys. I called and they came within 2 hours. The service guy knew exactly what to do and fixed it all in less than 20 minutes. When I couldn't print out my Angie's list coupon he said "No problem" and gave me the discount anyway!!!!

The electricians were professional and knowledgable. They were patient as I decided the exact location of the lights and had them make multiple adjustments when the lights were working. They had some unexpected delays in the attic, but again, were very professional and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves and thanked me for my business. Overall, a great experience! I will use them again for my future electrical needs and would recommend them without reservation.

The first time I called them in was to confirm that I still had original knob-and-tube wiring in my house. I did. They were able to call the office and give me an estimate on the spot for rewiring. The next week I was able to get an appointment to have the work done. It took two days--the crew was always here first thing in the morning, and here past 5PM to get the work done. They were scrupulously clean, rolling plastic everywhere they were going to walk. They had to knock holes in the walls to reach the old wires, which I expected, but they did a rough plaster patch for me in each spot and swept up all the dust and debris afterwards. The workman consulted me often to make sure things were as I wanted them.
