The Electric Connection

JC and George were prompt, personable and professional. JC diagnosed my problems (lights were making a buzzing sound) and gave me a few possible solutions, recommending what he thought would be most economical. Along the way, he took his time to explain everything he was doing and answer my questions. His customer service was outstanding -- he made sure all my problems were taken care of and questions answered before leaving.

From the time I called them it could not have gone more smoothly. They were very accomadating in scheduling the call. The electrician JC showed up at the time scheduled. He was knowledgeable as to what needed to be done..His advice was right on target and the job was completed promptly. I cannot say enough good things about JC -He is a very pleasant man, and quite helpful all around - We could adopt him. Jerome Vozoff

Wonderful job done by this company they were real helpful found what the problem was and got it fixed. Not once was I confused about what was going on because they made sure to let me know what the issue was. thank you for the help we paid a fair price for it I plan to use them again in the future.

JC and George arrived at my property within the window time frame that was initially agreed upon. They were both very professional and courteous. JC quickly scoped out the options of where to place the outlet. He clearly knew what he was doing. Since I needed the outlet installed for an event that I am hosting in the coming weeks, I went with the simplest option. They performed the work within an hour. The installation went perfectly. They are great guys to work.

We've used electric connection before and they were great. This was our third experience with them, and time to write a review. The lead electrician, "JC" was professional, extremely helpful and informative. He and his assistant performed great work today and made sure to show us what they did when they were done. By far one of the easiest experiences we've had with professionals working on our home. We're new homeowners and have learning curve in navigating home repair and maintenance. These guys have made it easy and less stressful. We will continue to use them for all of our electrical needs.

I had originally made an appointment for next week. I had called today to try to get an earlier appointment but they were booked. Then Bob called me back and said he had a cancellation and could come today, and he sent his guys out right away. JC was great...put the outlet right where I wanted it even though I know it was kind of a pain. He also was very helpful and had some really good advice. His assistant George was also very nice, and they both of the worked very hard and got the job done fast. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

The service went great! From explaining my situation on the first call to the updating phone messages and the final billing process, the company was very professional and informative. JC, the electrician and George, his assistant were on time, professional, worked quickly and answered all of my questions. JC provided some great and useful advice as well. I was very pleased with the whole experience and would definitely use this company again.

I had made the first available appointment on a Monday but was contacted Friday morning that there was a cancellation and the electrician could be at my house in 30 minutes. This proved to be extremely convenient for me. JC arrived on time and immediately sized up the problem; gave me a quote; and said he had to see if the parts I needed were available. He left in his van and came back in an hour with the parts and quickly finished the job. I was relieved that he had handled it so quickly and felt confident in the work he had done. I could not have been more satisfied with him and his company.

Professional job. They knew what they were doing and performed fast and efficiently.

From initial phone contact, to completed job, a quality company. JC and Jorge were punctual, neat and thorough. We were very pleased and would definitely do business with this company again.

JC and George were outstanding with their work and exhibited absolute professionalism. JC was straight the point and didn't waste a single minute to the root of the problem. What really impressed me was the patience they had in waiting for me while I was waiting for my car to be towed back home after breaking down at the highway. They are both top-notch and represented the excellence of the Electric Connection. I am onr very satisfied customer.

Excellent company with excellent service. They weren't pressuring at all, and they performed the job quickly. They also did a great job breaking the issues down into layman's terms. The price was very fair; I was expecting to spend more for this job.

Service was excellent. They sent an email reminder a day before, called during the agreed upon service window that they were on their way, showed up and completed repairs on time. JC was professional, placed booties on his shoes and cleaned up after he was done. I would use them again.

They were extremely courteous and helpful. Three men showed up, which made the job much more efficient.

Jc was on time and helpful in explaining my options. Work was completed in a timely matter and cleanup was great. My only negatives were the length of time I had to wait in scheduling the work. It was a week from my original call. I also saw other Angie list companies offering same service for a lower price, but I was very pleased with the quality I got from this company.

I have added to this review, based on the company's high level of responsiveness to the issues I raised following the delivery of services. The following is my initial review, based on what happened during the service call. I have written an amendment in the final paragraph. I called The Electric Connection about the $99 Angie?s List offer to install a replacement replacement ceiling fan and spoke with Nick. I wanted to find out about any additional expense for an installation that would be about 13 ft. above floor level, and he told me the added height above 12 ft. would cost an additional $50. I agreed to this, and Nick turned me over to Bob, the scheduler, for a next day appointment. I was hoping to find a quality electrician to replace my long-time electrician who had moved away. J.C. and his assistant/trainee arrived as scheduled the next day, after calling me about half an hour before arrival to let me know they were on their way. All good -- the fan was installed successfully in about 2 hours, and it works well. However, J.C.?s working methods were unprofessional. Within 5 minutes of J.C.?s arrival, things turned sour. He had not been told that the fan would be located over 12 ft. above floor level, and he had only an 8 ft. ladder (so why was I charged 50% more over the Angie's List offer?). After I told him that, no, he could not put the ladder on a table, some discussion ensued about whether it was possible to install with an 8 ft. ladder. This could have been a polite, professional conversation, but J.C. became unpleasant and contemptuous. With his height, and by standing on the very top ledge of the ladder (not professionally recommended, as the ladder can overturn), he managed to complete the installation. To install the wall control, J.C. had to remove the existing wall plate, whose edges had been (incorrectly) sealed by previous wall painting. Instead of using a sharp blade to cut at the edge, J.C. pulled off the wall plate, tearing at the paint around the edges. After the wall plate was replaced, with the new wall control in position, J.C. used white caulking to seal the edge and paste back the torn paint sections. He started to do this without washing his hands, which I noticed were leaving gray smudges on the caulking as well as all over the wall area adjacent to the wall switch. I had to ask him to wash his hands before completing the caulking, so that the work would be done cleanly. All throughout this process, J.C. spoke with belittling and dripping scorn, and he repeatedly prefaced his remarks with a snarling ?ma?am?, to hide his thinly veiled contempt. After he left, I had to complete the cleanup process that he and his assistant had not done very well, which included removing all the smudges left on my wall. I will also probably have to repaint the wall to cover up the torn paint around the wall plate. ADDENDUM following the company's response to my review: The company emailed their own followup customer service survey to me, and I did a cut-and-paste from my Angie's List review and emailed it back. Within just a few hours (or less), I heard back from the company. They were clearly concerned that I had not been happy with the overall experience, and really stepped up to the plate to make the experience better. They offered to patch and repaint the wall. This was completed today, one week after I submitted my review to them. While my overall experience with JC, the electrician, was unpleasant, he did get the new fan installed and working well, so I originally graded the overall experience a 'C'. I have upgraded it to a 'B' to reflect the company's proactive steps to make me a happier customer. The company's response to the problems I had was outstanding, and deserves an 'A' for professionalism, but since there was the electrician's lack of customer service professionalism that I can't overlook (it shouldn't have happened), I've changed my original grade of 'F' for professionalism to a 'C'. I'm willing to try this company again when I need electrical work, but I will certainly ask that the electrician not be JC.

A very professional performance -- from the booking of the job with Bob Loguidice to the on time arrival of Hugo Galvez, his thorough inspection of the entire electrical system and prompt delivery of the inspection report and estimate. I would highly recommend Electric Connection to all agents seeking a trustworthy resource for electrical inspections.

Everyone we dealt with at Electrical Connection was friendly and responsive. A crew of three arrived early on the first day, got to work and were able to finish by early the next day. I had a billing concern which the company handled quickly and to my satisfaction.

JC and his helper did not attempt to sell us more service than we needed. the problem was quickly and correctly diagnosed and solved.

JC and his helper determined that fan had shorted out. Blow in attic insulation was added a few years ago. Fan had been hooked up in such a way that it came into contact with insulation and shorted. They re-wired correctly so that it works and is now safe. The guys showed up right on time and were very professional, clean and polite. Service was completed in one hour. Not cheap but worth it to know it was done right.

The electricians arrived at time promised. JC and Carlos were very professional. The work was done quickly. Good experience and will use this company again.
