(cont'd from above) I called Mr. Abramson at Stone Restoration to ask for a refund. He told me that "he hardly gets any money" from Angie's List, tols me that I needed to ask AL directly for the refund, and curtly hung up. (This was two calls in...the first time he blew me off). I was grateful that Angie's List gave me a full refund, but the whole experience left me with doubts as to the reputation of those on the list...or the integrity of the employees of the companies on the list. I would hope in the future that any company on the list is there because the experience is a positive one but also because the staff employed has been vetted in the process as well. I wasn't sure whether or not "David" was trying to snipe some of his boss's business, or if what he said was legitimate, but the fact that Harry was so difficult to deal with had me feeling the whole thing wasn't kosher.

I tried calling the phone listed several time and never got a call back. Months went by and I didn't pursue it since we had an illness in the family. then I got a call from David Quintenilla saying he wanted to schedule to granite cleaning. I mentioned I had tried to call several times months ago but noboday returned the call. He said the guy who was supposed to do Harry Abramson didn't want to do the work because it wasn't enough money. David asked me what the job was and I told him it was to clean and seal granite countertops in a small kitchen. He said the deal was for floors only. I said the deal didn't specify that. He said it's more because he can't use the buffers on a countertop and it's more manual labor. He came to the house and said he needed $200 more on top of the $99 I paid thru Angies List. He also said he wanted to use really expensive sealer, which would be more, because the sealer would help feather out the oil stains. I figured I would go ahead since he was there and was going to spend so much time and labor in getting the granite back to a pristine look. Less than an hour later he was finished and it was obvious it was a job I could have done myself. I looked up the "special sealer" on the internet and you can buy it at Home depot for $41 for a gallon.......a fraction of what he used on my kitchen. Bad deal!!!

They were very busy due to their promotion, so I had to wait about 10 days to get serviced, but other than that, they were punctual for their appointment, clean, thorough and polite.

In the end the counters looked almost as good as when we installed them.

First of all....I love David's work, attention to detail and knowledge!! David followed up on my purchase of an Angie's Deal and came out and assessed the work to be done. We liked him so much, we had him do more than anticipated. He made an appointment to come back on a day that was convenient for us and was prompt and ready to work. We had him clean, seal and polish our limestone bathroom counters for the Angie's Deal and then he gave us a (more than) fair price to clean, seal, polish and fill some cracks in our carrera marble kitchen counters. Honestly, I think the work was worth more than what is listed above. We have had others come to do the same work and none reached the quality that David provided. We are currently building a pool house that needs concrete polishing and tile sealing and I will absolutely call David in 4-6 weeks to schedule some more work. He is a real find and Stone Restoration is a service provider I highly recommend!

It took approximately 90 days to receive a phone call back. They were unprofessional by canceling two appointments. The third time we schedule an appointment he was to arrive 9:15 am he arrived at 11:00 only after I called them. They denied what their ad said they would do. They also tried to charge me an additional $100 for more work.

I purchased the $99 special Online from Angie's list to Seal and Polish my kitchen granite. I made that known when I made the appointment for the work to be done. When the workman arrived he said the offer was only for X amount of square feet. (sorry i don't recall the exact amount of square footage but i think it was 50 sq. ft. ). He said that mine was much bigger than that and that if I wanted him to polish and seal, and caulk it would be $400. I was livid because I knew he was trying to take advantage of me and that he didn't think I'd know how many square feet of granite I actually had. I was furious and told him to leave. He called from his car and said "Oh, I didn't realize you had the coupon". Of course he knew!! How else would he know to discuss square footage with me!! Also the card he left with me had a different company name from the company I bought the special from. I called the name and number on the ad and told Harry that I was deeply unhappy and felt he was trying to take advantage of people. Harry said he did not want me to be dissatisfied and arranged for the man to return within the next day or so to do the job. They did the job (for $99) and i could not see any difference afterwards from before the work to after the work. The thing that infuriated me is that so many companies pray upon people thinking they will not know how many square feet they have, or any other details pertinent to cost. They ran this ad in the hopes to get into houses and overcharge and i am sure they succeeded some of the time. They did not with me. The company name on ad was Harry Abramson at Stone Restoration. The company name on card was Marble Complete- Edwin Aguirre.

I called them in the beginning of April when I purchased the actual deal. I was told that he would return my when he got back into town on June 13. I called again after not hearing from him. I just spoke with him today on July 2 and he said he doesn't do that work anymore.

AWFUL Experience !! I bought the " Big Deal " on April 11th . After purchasing I called and " Harry Abramson " the owner I presume answered . I told him I purchased " The Big Deal " and I needed my kitchen counters cleaned and sealed . Right away he told me it would probably cost more than the $99. I said " Wow - You didn't even ask me if there were any stains or when the last time it was sealed " As a matter of fact there are no stains and I seal the stone every year . Great way to start out right !!?? His guy " Edwin " arrived Saturday morning with a bucket and dirty looking rags . I showed him the kitchen counter which measures 7 sq. feet and the master bath counter top which measure 2 sq. feet . They allow 10 sq,. ft . Edwin tells me .. " No - 10 sq. feet , one area , and the master bath counter top needs polishing out , that will be extra " I said ok .. How much ? He says " I don't have any materials with me . " He drove up in a van with Stone Restoration logos on it and they don't carry polishing compound and they are in the stone restoration business . I asked him what I get for $99. He says " I wipe the counter down and wipe a sealer on - thats it " I told him thanks but no thanks ... I want my money back . I call the owner Saturday - no answer - I leave a message . I called Monday - no answer - no cal back . This company is horrible ! Attitudes from the get go ... And they performed no services and kept my monies !!! Do not use them !!!

All I can say is, use this company if you plan on doing any sort of refinishing.
