+ -1 moreHe came as scheduled and sprayed around the house and the back house and garage area. The ants were better but never gone. I called and the man called me back and came back and sprayed again. He also re sprayed the back area and around the house. We still have ants. I called a third time and my call was never returned. I used the same company last year and had great results. I don't have the confidence in this company the way I did.

+ -1 moreIt went good. They put a liquid on the ground around the exterior of the house. It made a difference but I am due for another service. However, the moment he heard I purchased a deal, he didn't give me any more information. He just did his job and left.

Description of Work: I haven't had their service. I'm calling providers to try to find out how they get rid of a mite infestation. So far today I've called and spoken to two other companies. They were on Angie's list and were wonderful, willing to patiently explain and offer information. One was out of my area so doesn't service where I am and the other is going to call back with information. Even though they're out of my area and don't service this far, they bent over backwards to guide me to where I will find help. They were angels! This one was called Surf City. I talked to Gina there. What a difference to be treated like your situation and life matter and to be listened to and responded to with decency, kindness and care plus great references and guidance. When I called this company in Van Nuys, I was transferred to their Service Manager. He didn't understand what I was asking him obviously and kept arguing and insisting on my question based on what he is familiar with. My question was and is to find a company who can get rid of a mite infestation using something or things that aren't toxic. Other compan ies have told me they use essential oils, alcohol and m ore. I have also been killing them with these but need to learn how to get rid of them in the entire house in a far broader area. All he could do was to toot his horn saying he's been in this field twenty five years and knows everything there is to know. I said no, he doesn't know all there is to know and having spoken to other companies I have validation and proof he doesn't. He got very annoyed and said good by abruptly. His voice became high pitched. He was a know it all, Personally he is someone I wouldn't want to be around for business or for anything. There's many other fish in the sea.

+ -1 moreUpon arrival, John, the technician, was informed that we had a snake of unknown type in the fence beside the house where he would be spraying. I didn't want the snake injured, but it couldn't move. He said it was a king snake that attacks rattle snakes-a good snake! He loosened the grapestake fence so the snake could be freed. The snake was traumitized, but recovered enough to move through the grass and continue its life. Then John continued on with his Job. Many thanks for responding beyond the job description.
Description of Work: John arrived in a timely manner and explained his service. We discussed the danger of insecticides and I was satisfied that this company was very, very careful. He presented the possibility of a monthly or bi-monthly service.

+ -1 moreI purchased the Angie's List deal and Stanley pest control sent me an email the next day to call when I was ready to set up an appointment. I called, they had time available that coming weekend and their service man arrived promptly within that 2 hour window. He introduced himself, we went around my yard and talked about the trouble spots and areas where he could not spray (around the pond and the vegetables) and off he went. The service was compete within 20 minutes and the spray was dry in 30 minutes. Its been a week, and I would say insect activity is at an all time low right now which is great.

+ -1 moreThey came out right away and were very friendly. They were out probably on the next day after I purchased the big deal or the day after that and went ahead and did the job. We still got the fleas but I do not know if that was necessarily their fault because we have a lot of wild creatures running around in the backyard sometimes. I do not know much about pest control but they did come out and did the spraying. They were professional and seemed to do a good job. There were also no additional charges for the service. I would probably use them again in the future if I need to.

+ -1 moreWhen they came out the first time a trainee sprayed and the ants were still here. The second time the man who was supervising before did the work. He told me he was here before now the ants ans spiders are gone but I received a bill from them. When I called the woman on the phone said the second visit wasn't part of the coupon. It was. I never paid the bill and never heard from them again.
