Description of Work: They said dry rot repair outside and fumigation. One of the owners, Ryan, came to check my house. I've had this service done before at other houses. This is the first time I spoke with Ryan and he sent others to my house to do the work. He did not warn me this was the case. They spoke a different language , not English. I could only communicate with one of them He was the one that went through my husbands camera bag and other cases in the cupboards He said he was looking for guns when I walked in on him. Ransacking my things. So much goes into getting ready for this procedure I let it go. I did call Ryan to let him know immediately BIG mistake. They asked for my house keys then said when they removed the tarp they put their own lock on the front door leaving the backdoor unlocked I had to put new locks on. They probably all made copies. Also when the poison was turned off they told me they left the back door open. Ryan told me I could move back in in two days. It was 8 days. I came home to get my house keys and at noon they were scheduled to remove the tarp they were not here. So I was here when They removed the tarp. A terrible odor came from the house. Since no one spoke English they could not answer my questions. I called Ryan, when he finally got. back to. me he referred me to his brother. I was told all along the poison they use has no scent. No one had an answer as to what that odor was that came from under the tent in my front yard I was on the sidewalk I got really sick and spent two days in bed vomiting and had a terrible headache nothing could get rid of. This company did nothing to check out what I told them. The company or people they gave access to my home? I dont know who they are , Stanley's Pest control refused to tell me. They came in an unmarked truck. Do Not Trust them. I asked them for the name of the company that actually did the Fumagation and they refused to give it to me

+ -1 moreI've been using them forever and ever. I've had no problems with bugs or pests. I pay $38 a month but I am a long time customer. The price is fine. Whatever it is that they do seems to be working and I haven't had any problems with bugs inside the house.

+ -1 moreThey were very good. I haven’t had any problems with them. The guy that I deal with, Rojas is very professional and very punctual. If I ask him to do something extra, he is more than willing to do that at no extra charge. They take care of it basically for spider ants and flea control. As far as I know, it is working very well. They are very professional and very friendly. Their communication is very good. In the summer, they show up once a month and then I go on quarter system in the fall. They always call to check if someone will be available when they come.
Description of Work: We used Stanley Pest Control of Van Nuys 1 month ago. They did a regular pest control service. My wife signed up for them.

+ -1 moreJack arrived exactly on time and inspected the hole and sawdust in my kitchen floor. He suggested that it was probably a false powderpost beetle. He advised me that he could put in Timbor, but it probably wouldn't solve the problem. He also said that we could fumigate, but it also might not fully solve the problem. His suggestion was that we NOT hire him and instead get a flooring company out to replace the damaged board and four boards on either side. He still sent me an estimate in case we did opt for his service, but I appreciated his honesty.

+ -1 moreI called for a termite inspection due to an area of deterioration that I saw in the wood on the front of my house. The woman who answered my call was very pleasant and able to schedule my inspection two days later. The representative showed up on time and was very professional. The deterioration was not due to termites, but wood rot. He determined that quickly and then asked if I wanted him to examine the rest of the exterior of the house. I agreed. No evidence of termites was found. Prior to leaving, the representative gave me a few suggestions about having the rotted wood replaced on the house so it wouldn't occur again. A short, but pleasant, experience.

The following Monday morning, Stanley arrived 1/2 hour early which I was very happy about (it was supposed to be between 9:00-12:00). The two servicemen that arrived were very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. They explained any questions I had regarding how they remedy the problem, what impact (if any) the poison they use could effect neighborhood pets (not a problem), etc. They suggested I go with the month-to-month service but I decided to see if the one time application would work and if so, good enough. There is a 30 day guarantee. It's been about two weeks and so far no new holes. I would hire them again.
Description of Work: I started seeing gopher holes in my backyard. Stanley came out, evaluated the situation and put gopher poison in certain spots in the yard. So far, no new holes have appeared. I opted for the one-time service (as opposed to a month-to-month), so I will see after 30 days if any new holes appear.
