Ralph showed up, promptly did the work requested and made some recommendations for upgrading in the future.

They arrived at the time they said they would and were professional. The door was adjusted to my request perfectly the first time.

I purchased the $40 "Angie's Big Deal" for garage door maintenance. The vendor did little more than oil/lube. The vendor used this Preventive Maintenance / inspection call as an excuse to push unnecessary expensive repairs. 1. They said that a moderate dent in the door would cause the door to break. As an Engineer I knew this wasn't true. They wanted to charge me a few hundred dollars for it. 2. They said that my spring was bad and needed to be replaced - just by looking at it (they didn't just say that it might fail soon because it's old - but said it was bad) They didn't ask me about its age and my usage patterns. They wanted to charge me a few hundred dollars for it. As an Engineer I was doubtful about their claim. I confirmed this with a professional, who confirmed that the springs' health can't be determined visually or with simple tests, and based on its age and my usage pattern - it would likely last me another 2 - 5 years. 5 month later, as I'm writing this review, neither the spring or door is broken.

I called Signature Garage Services today because I am shooting a film at my house and the garage door was broken. I needed immediate service because all of our film equipment was stored in the garage. Gabriel answered my call right away and said he could come same day to service the garage. He arrived 15 minutes early, had a smile on his face and was ready to help. When I took him out to the garage and showed him the problem he not only fixed it, but taught me how to do it. The hilarious part is that it wasn't broken at all. One of the guys had used the emergency pull to close the garage, so it wasn't attached to the mechanism that opens it anymore and that's why it wasn't functioning properly. Not only was Gabriel patient, but he didn't charge me for the service call or the lesson. I would definitely use this company again

The whole experience was super easy. Gabriel, who's actually the owner of Signature Garage Doors, was nice over the phone and very punctual. In fact, he came early (but verified with a phone call to make sure it was okay). He fixed the light on the garage door opener free of charge, replaced the lock, and had an extra remote which he programmed for me. He even taught me how to program it myself if I wanted to get more back-ups later. He charges the same price as Home Depot for the remote control, but I later discovered I can buy the unit way cheaper on Amazon... which is fine, since I needed a remote to open the door, Gabriel showed me how to program the thing, and now I have a back up that I ordered online and programmed myself. Gabriel is very professional, patient, has a good gentle vibe, and went out of his way to be nice. I would definitely recommend this company.

I called Tuesday & set up the appointment with Joe (or Jonas, not sure) for the next day. Ralph showed up 30 min earlier, but kindly waited for me to wrap up my activity. Ralph couldn't be nicer. He explained what he was doing & showed me the special lubricant they use, which was better lubricant than what my previous garage man used. My first time with Signature was a good experience.

The appointment time was set at my convenience. Joseph is friendly, respectful and professional. He even asked if it was OK to park his truck in my driveway. The work took approximately two hours.

Garage door would not close, and at that time Angie's List offered this Big Deal. Signed up, and tech arrived on time. Explained that 40 bucks only covered an inspection and some lubrication. Tested door and it worked fine after all--go figure! It somehow fixed itself. So the tech left a sticker on the door with contact info, and I will use them the next time something goes wrong with the door.

The person who actually came to my house and performed the service (Ralph) was very nice but I had some difficulties with scheduling, etc. I initially sent an e-mail to the address on the coupon and got no response. Then I called and set the appointment for 9:00 a.m. on March 27th. At 9:30 a.m. I got a phone call from Ralph, the technician, to tell me he would be late - at this point he was already over 30 minutes late. He finally arrived at 10:15 - over an hour late. Obviously, the company has some issues with scheduling and/or overbooking their technicians. Even though I was using a coupon (which was a good deal), my time is important, too!

This was a very smooth and professional experience for me. Ralph actually arrived early and diagnossed the problem quickly and made the necessary repairs in less than 45 min. He replaced a part in the motor and did a tune-up on the door mechanisms and it's working perfectly now. We agreed on a price of $160.00 after he diagnossed the issue. I told him I contacted the company through Angies List AND I mentioned that another company through AL had a Big Deal today for a reduced price of $44 for a tune-up and so Ralph knocked $30 off his original estimate for me and included the tune-up as well as a replacement part, making my out of pocket $130.00. He told me I was lucky that I contacted Signature as another garage door repair service would probably tell me that I needed to replace the whole motor and the price would have been in the $600.00 range. And guess what? He was right! A couple months ago I contacted the company that had done work on the door before and the man who runs the company came out and told me I needed a new motor and that it would cost around $550-600! He also wanted to charge me a $90.00 service estimate fee which he did not tell me over the phone in our initial communication. I told him to forget it and that I wasn't going to pay his service fee either since he never mentioned it to me prior to coming by (and he lives in the neighborhood!). I looked and that company is listed on AL, but has only a couple reviews and a B rating. Angies List saved me hundreds of dollars and we will be using it, as well as Signature Garage Doors, in the future. As well as telling our friends about our experience!

They called because they were available earlier than our appointment which worked well for us. They were in and out in quickly, checked the door and lubed all the moving parts. They even lubed the chain on my electric gate for no additional charge. They assured me the door was properly balanced and working properly. They did not look for something wrong or try to up-sell us some other services, which we really appreciated. I would use them in future and I recommend them to others.

Everything was okay and it works. They just greased it and that was it. The cost was very good, but they just doubled it last time.

There were two men. They were both professional, courteous, and pleasant. They explained what they were doing and took time to respond to my questions. I waited to see how the work held up, and it is fine -- no problem.

The serviceman was very cheerful, informative and professional. He showed up on time and explained to me what he did when he finished. It all checked out great---nice quiet garage door, smooth lift and close. Good experience!

Promptly received a call to schedule an appointment. No attempt at an up-sell which was appreciated.

They fixed the switch, reprogrammed the garage and did a safety check of the garage door. They did extra service to please us!

Signature Garage Doors came out in December and realigned my garage door. They did a great job. So, yesterday, when the garage key pad didn't work, I called them right away. They remembered the work that they did and came out within 2 hours to check on the key pad. They checked all of the wiring and replaced the battery in the key pad. When I mentioned buying an extra remote control in case the key pad went dead again, they offered to leave one in my mailbox at no charge. They came all the way back to my house just to drop it off!! Theseguys are the best! They provided me with fantastic service and made two trips to my house in one day - all for free. You can't beat that!

Ralph did an excellent job of adjusting my noisy and shaky garage door opener. It works and sounds like new. Ralph was very professional, helpful and friendly. I appreciated that he phoned me a couple of times when he was running behind schedule. Promptness and reliability are very important to me.th

Based on a few quotes and Angie's list I hired Signature. He called the same day and came out for a tune up the same week. The garage door was broken so he let me know how much and was able to fix the door and get it running smoothly in a few hours. He explained the workings of the door and I felt he was very thorough.

I purchased a $39 garage door tune-up coupon as a gift for my mother. Her door was very noisy and did not move smoothly at all. After the tech did some adjustments and lubrication, the door started working much better. He did point out that the rollers were worn and said that they would need to be replaced, but it did not have to be done now if we didn't want to. We decided to go ahead and replace the rollers while he was there. There was no pressure to spend extra money on parts, and we were very happy with the service.

The whole experience was excellent. For example, I needed a Saturday because I work. No problem, given a window of 10AM to 12 noon. I called the day before to tell them I had an appointment and thus would need to leave at 12 noon. The person asked me the nature of the call - just garage door tune-ups with an Angie's List "Big Deal" with a minor problem of one door periodically stopping part way up and some vibration and noise. He then checked the schedule and came back and said they could be there at near 10 AM. The technician got here around 10:15 AM and took about 30 minutes. He explained what he was doing, showed me the product he was using, had me run the doors up and down several times, and then did some adjustments. He took my coupon, and that was it. He was very courteous and honestly seemed to enjoy his work. My garage doors go up and down almost silently now. I can recommend them without reservation.

I called this company around 8:30 pm on January 31st because our door did not close all the away when returning from shopping. The owner, Gabriel answered the phone, and was most helpful in assuring me that the door would hold until the morning when he would send a technician out to repair. I asked for an early arrival, as I was just back from vacation and anxious to get to work. He offered 9:00 am and I asked if 8:30 was possible. He obliged. However, the technician, Ralph, called us around 7:15 am and offered to come in a few minutes. This was a great surprise as I presumed the work would take a few hours and allow me to get to the office sooner than expected. Ralph was nothing sort of fantastic in describing the problem (springs), providing an estimate of about $350, and not pushing a new door that I had asked about replacing since we could maybe save some money doing all at once. He said the door was in good shape and that his repairs would also alleviate our concern of the noise when opening and closing. As I had requested, he later advised me of an issue for approval of an additional cost. After working a bit on the door, he said replacing the wheels would be prudent as one was rusted, one had come totally off the door, and others would make a smoother ride of the door's movement. This added $180 for a total of $530 but much worth it as the noise was markedly decreased, thus also saving us the expense of a new garage door opener. When asked, Ralph said that what we had was fine and to consider replacing it only when it finally wears out. Our door was fixed in about 3 hours and sounds and works great. Both Gabriel and Ralph were consummate professionals. I highly recommend their service should you need repair, a new door and/or new opener.

Ralph from Signature Garage Doors and Gates arrived promptly at 10 am on Saturday 1/26/13. He was friendly, service was prompt and he was able to diagnose the problem right away. He even performed additional services not covered by the deal without extra charge. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! My garage door now glides smoothly. No loud crash as it hits the ground, AND the door closes consistently now. I highly recommend this company for its professionalism, fantastic, jovial staff (Ralph was fantastic) and their expert knowledge. A's all the way!

Called this company for their $39 deal for garage door adjustment. They showed up when they said they would and performed the services that were requested. Yes, I would use them again.
