STUNNING! I now have so much room in both my kitchen and linen closet that I have to go shopping! the quality and precision fit makes my kitchen look so elegant. no wobbly baskets no flimsy plastic.and the glides are quiet. From the design to the installation to the follow-up, the contact was wonderful. I was a bit surprised at the cost and the length of time between the design and the installation, but then my only point of reference was the "ready made" that I would install. I definitely would not have been able to find the quality of product at any store, not to mention the time it would take me to install. Best of all is the customization options. I have adjustable dividers in my linen closet and dividers for my baking sheets in the kitchen. I will be having my bathrooms done next.

Shelf Genie of Los Angeles is the Gold-Standard for customer service. Both their national office and their local office followed up our call over the holidays the next business day. The owner came out to explain their service and price the job during the holiday shut-down since the rest of the office was off for the holidays. They had the exact type of product we wanted and the units came perfectly from their Orange County, CA factory. Their installer was excellent, did a perfect job, customizing the installation to our needs and carefully working the leveling and visual appearance of the installation. All along Shelf Genie kept us informed and had excellent follow-up. If you want it done right and to last I recommend this organization.

It went very well. The installer (Andrew) is very professional. Says he loves a challenge, which my kitchen truly gave him! The work was done surprisingly quickly and very neatly. Everything fit very well. I even found that I had more space than I thought I would. He will be back this next year for a pantry and another combination od two shelves and two drawers. Very creative and professional but fun to work with. Great sense of humor. This is really important when your working with a house over eighty years old!

Everyone I dealt with, both by phone and in person were great. They responded quickly, set up timely appointments, showed up on time, and kept me updated on the status of my order. David gave me the estimate and did the installing and he was great to work with.

We are so very plesaed with the new Shelf Genie custom glide outs! The designer spent about two hours designing solutions for our kitchen and pantry. I was very impressed with the different options to add organization and functionality. The installer arrived on time and was neat and efficient. He finished the installation in just a few hours and I was very thrilled putting everything back into the cabinets. I can now see the stuff in my pantry and it's so much easier getting the pots and pans that I need. They even designed a special glide out with custom-spaced dividers for all of my cookie sheets and cutting boards. The baking pans are no longer stored in one heavy stack. I also love the new spice rack. I thought about replacing all of my cabinets but realized that it is a lot more expensive and I would still not have any functionality. The Shelf Genie solutions are extremely high quality and completely custom to my needs. This was the best home improvement project that I have done in years!

They were great. I am happy with the product and the contractor was very good at what he did. He was very personable and explained things well.

It was good and I liked it. It was not cheap. It works very well for me. I didn't have any before so I couldn't compare it. I had no problems afterwards. It was very convenient and it still works.

It was a good experience. The salesman was knowledgeable and personable. The installer who measured, made some suggestions that proved to be very worthwhile. The installation was quick and efficient and kitchen was left clean.

From my initial design consultation with Lorna through my final contact with installer Tim, the experience was amazingly positive. The newly installed glide-outs and drawers will make my kitchen much more functional and allow me to age in place in the years ahead. Lorna was incredibly knowledgeable in guiding me to solutions that will work for ME in MY kitchen by focusing on how I plan to use the space. Both Tim and Lorna were always pleasant and professional and Tim went out of his way to work with my schedule in completing the installation. Yes, Shelf Genie is a pricey solution, but incredibly effective. Every time I do not have to get down on my hands and knees to get something out of my lower cabinets will positively reinforce my decision to have Shelf Genie products installed in my home.

Installed came, and put in the four drawers - fixed a squeek in one of them.

Over the phone they were wonderful, they were very upfront. We decided that this was not a good deal for me.

They were excellent. The shelves turned out beautiful and they matched my other ones. They were actually better than the ones I have put in. They were on time. They were neat and efficient. They were in and out. I never had any problem with the doors. I would definitely have them back. I was satisfied with the price.

Very good. What I got is very useful. A bug improvement. I wish they could have made custom shaped drawers (some of my cupboards are not rectangular but rather triangular and pentagonal...they were not able to make any shape unless it had 90 degree corners. .. had they been able to i definitely would have bought more.

This company provides incredibly high quality products. I had some wire pull out baskets originally, and they just couldn't hold the weight of the items on the shelf, so were constantly falling off the track. The Shelf Genie products are sturdy, each shelf unit will hold up to 100 pounds, and glide like butter. They also replaced the glides on my old slide out shelves that had been in the house since I moved in in 1987. I love the fact that the slides allow the drawer to come out ALL the way so you can reach everything in the back. Bottom line, pricey but definitely makes life easier!!

No pressure sales, great installation.

This was an Angie's List Big Deal that cost $199 for $500 worth of custom glide-out shelves. First, owner Lorna Ross telephoned me to explain that the offer represented a discount, and that the total cost of the shelving, if I purchased it, was likely to be around $2500, and, that my $199 would be refunded if I didn't want to continue with the purchase. The total price turned out to be $2982, payable in installments. Expensive, but not out of line for this kind of project. Next, Lorna came out to inspect the existing shelving , make recommendations and design the new shelves. She is very personable, and a pleasure to work with. Next, installer Andrew came out to measure for the new shelves, and around three weeks later, came out and installed the new shelves. Andrew is a skilled craftsman, and also a pleasure to work with. The new glide-out shelves were installed on top of my existing shelves, and can be removed if necessary. There was absolutely no mess during the measurement and installation, I am enjoying my new glide-out shelves. Everything on the shelves is now easy to access, and nothing gets lost at the back of the shelves the way it used to. I recommend this service to anyone who is thinking about getting this kind of shelving.

I have a small pantry in my small kitchen that I have a hard time seeing what's in it because everything is stacked on top of each other. I tried a ready made sliding shelf that didn't work. So I decided to get custom shelves. After calling some custom cabinet companies and getting the run around, I found ShelfGenie here on Angie's List. I really thought it would cost a lot less than what I was quoted, but I spoke with the consultant about the different qualities of wood, the different warranties, and the craftsmanship that goes into the shelves. So I went with a higher quality which cost more. Of all of the contractors that I've had to deal with since purchasing my home three years ago, this experience has, by far, been the most positive. Everyone showed up when they said they would. Everything was completed on time. There were no hiding charges... no surprises. Their customer service is out of this world. I highly recommend this company.

They said there was fine print that it wasn’t what I was looking for and it was some big expensive things in what I had to spend more on.

Great! Andrew, the shelf genie rep, was always very communicative and prompt. He was easy to talk to and explained the entire process clearly. The service itself was quick and the product has become absolutely essential.

The ad gives the impression that you get 60% off, and that you can spend as little as $550. But that is not true. You have to buy 5 shelves, which is more in the 1500 range.
