I give Rick Campos Plumbing & Heating my highest recommendations for promptness, customer service, and quality of workmanship. One morning, I emailed the office with a photo of our kitchen, inquiring about a rather complicated dishwasher installation. That very afternoon, Mr. Campos came out to have a look at the kitchen. He mentioned their hourly rate and estimated the number of hours it would take to do the installation. While he was on site, I mentioned our expensive water bills, and he was kind enough to walk around the property and show me how to check the meter for leaks (at no charge). We scheduled the dishwasher installation for two days later. Two plumbers arrived on time, did a very careful job, and thoroughly cleaned up afterward. Mr. Campus phoned a few hours later, to be sure that we were pleased with the work. Even though the installation took a little longer than he estimated, Mr. Campos said he would honor his verbal quote. Campos Plumbing is the kind of family business people dream of in this day and age: they are good at what they do, they care about their clients, they invest in long term relationships over the ‘quick buck’ and are so professional, careful and courteous. I will refer them to anyone who asks, and of course we will call them whenever we need plumbing work done.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH ALL OF THE WORK THEY HAVE DONE FOR ME. I CALLED THEM BECAUSE OF THEIR HIGH RATINGS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY REASONABLE IN THEIR PRICING, HAVE ALWAYS DONE THE JOB RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, AND ARE VERY RESPONSIVE WHEN I NEEDED THEM.

They are all A's. The owner himself came. Everything he did was great. For me, they did a good job and I think they would for someone else.

My experience was good. The price was reasonable. I have no complaints.

Cheerfully reported that we did not, in fact, have a problem. But only after thoroughly investigating the situation. Will definitely call him again.

The job was done efficiently. We wanted the gas line moved closer to the stove and Rick gave us some options that would affect the cost. We ended up going through the floor vs. going through the wall.

Rick was our "second opinion" heating guy. I knew immediately he was our guy when he embraced the old 1929 floor furnace we have as a good ol' work horse. He was punctual, and came back with another worker, Roberto, to do the job the same day. We have a small crawl space under our house and Roberto was the one who actually went under and did the work. I felt good about both gentemen. HIghly recommend him. We are planning on a bathroom remodel in the future and would definitely use Rick.

The repairs went very well and I was really appreciated his ability to respond so quickly.

They didn?t do a very good job on the stuff in the bathroom. They did certain things well but they didn?t handle a certain issue very well. I have been in phone contact with them about modifying the bill and they never called back or sent a modified bill so I didn?t pay. I ended up having someone else come out to take care of the things that weren?t satisfactory. They did do some things right and they did a really good job of showing up initially.

Everything went great. I spoke with Rick Campos who came out for an initial walk thru and review of the work to be completed. Subsequently, he provided an estimate to complete all the work and we agreed upon a contract price which seemed most reasonable. Because this was a remodel, the work was completed in phases. Everytime I called for the next phase to be done, Campos was available on the date requested and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. I would hire them again in an instant.

The main water heater in my house was located in a basement next to the heater. I considered putting in a sump pump to avoid damage to or destruction of my heater in case the water heater flooded the basement. Rather than spend the $1500 to install a sump pump, decided to install a tankless "on demand' water heater on the side of the house. I was quoted a price of $3500 from that high-end plumbing appliance store (S-D) for a Norvitz large-capacity tankless water heater (without installation). Rick Campos recommended the Takagi because he has installed many of these tankless water heaters and has found that this brand is more reliable. For $3300 including the water heater and all materials and labor, he installed the large capacity on-demand water heater, had an electrician run the electric line from the unit to the circuit box (ran it under the house for aesthetic reasons), ran a gas line to the unit and drained the old water heater. The job involved 2 plumbers and an electrician and took a good part of a day. Late that afternoon, we had on-demand hot water and it has worked perfectly with no problems whatsoever. After watching my neighbors go through lots of problems with numerous visits by their plumber to fix/readjust their tankless water heater, I was a bit reluctant to take the plunge, but I have absolutely no regrets, Rick's plumbers and electrician are superb and do excellent work and clean up afterwards.

I left a message on their answering machine and heard back the next day. Rick was very friendly and professional. He gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone, which seemed very reasonable compared to another plumber I had gotten an estimate from. I called back and scheduled him to do the job the following Monday morning between 9 and 11. That day he showed up at 9 on the dot, he had 2 workers with him, and they were able to pull the heater out and cap the line in less than an hour, he probably wouldn't have charged me for the full hour but I insisted. He was very professional and friendly and I will definitely call him again when I need more plumbing work.

I had a running toilet. I looked at all the plumbers on Angies' list and saw an excellent review of Rick Campos Plumbing and called. The person on the phone asked if it was an emergency and if I had another toilet in the house, because they had a full schedule that day but would find a way to come if we had only one toilet. I thought that was very nice to find that kind of caring. We did have another toilet so we scheduled it for the next day. I was down with a really bad cold the next day and had fallen asleep before the plumber came. My housekeeper was there that day and didn't bother to wake me. The plumber must have been very quiet because he came into the master bathroom, fixed the problem and left, without my being aware of anything. That's great service, good manners and civility.

I submitted a report on 2-10-10 and gave a failing grade. I was very upset I had to continually call the office to find out where Rick was and even though I left my number with them, they never called me with a status update. I ended up waiting over 4 hours for him to show up, then he canceled anyway. Since then Rick made every attempt to correct the problem by making sure he came out to give the estimate when it was convenient for us,He did the work and was very professional. His price was reasonable and the work was professional. I gave him a "B" only because the initial call was not treated well, but everyone has a bad day.

We had an occasional small drip from our upstairs bathroom down through the ceiling of the garage. Several attempts had been made to repair the damage in the past, resulting in numerous holes in the garage ceiling. Before I had the ceiling repaired, I wanted to be sure that all the leaks were gone. Rick and Carlos tested every part of the bathroom and found leaks in one sink faucet and in the drain pipe. He also diagnosed the water flow problem we had in the shower. The next day Carlos and a helper came out to do the work. After the repairs were done, they tested the pipes and some part broke in the garage ceiling, causing a brief flood of water. I was alarmed but the water was cleaned up quickly with no permanent damage and the faulty section replaced. To make up for the brief inconvenience, Carlos fixed the shower in our other bathroom at no charge.

Rick Campos was going to come out on Monday following previous work he has done for me to do additional work, but by then my house was torn apart by workers trying to dry the mess, salvage the wood floors, tear out plaster, etc. So I decided to put off the extra work. (Bad decision.) The water heater bubbled up over the top, causing another leak. Rick Campos came out immediately and determined that the water pressure valve was malfunctioning on my 5-year-old under-warranty water heater. He emptied the water heater. (He ended up not charging me for this visit.) We decided to replace the water heater and do all the work that my prior plumber years ago didn't do, which included running pipes through the walls snaking down the living room wall (which was now bare as the plaster had been removed) and out through the stucco of the house so that, if the water heater should ever leak in the future, the leak debacle will be avoided. He upgraded all of the plumbing going into the water heater, changed the shut-off valve to make it easy to use and corrosion-proof. His team of guys did a superb job in the copper piping -- it puts the rest of my plumbing to shame. They ended up using more copper pipe than we originally expected so that the exit drain in the front of the house would be far away from the front entance and hidden by shrubs. He didn't charge me for the extra pipe and labor. I can't voice enough praise for Rick and his workers who know their stuff and cleaned up beautifully. PLUS Rick gave me a huge discount - he found a RARE water heater that is the proper dimensions that I needed, upgraded the existing model to a far superior water heater, and didn't charge me for the difference between the new water heater and the exchange-discount of $133 that American Water Heater will pay for the faulty water heater. I got a great deal. Also, Rick helped me out with my insurance company regarding the damage claim. He is responsive, returns calls right away, is reasonably priced, and does excellent work.

Water heater started leaking on Friday night around midnight. Called Rick Campos at 8;00 a.m. Saturday morning. Dispatcher was very responsive; called me back twice to get details of the problem and to advise me when the plumber would arrive. She informed me that the rate would be time-and-a-half because the work has to be done on a Saturday. The plumber arrived punctually at 11:45 a.m. and was very knowledgeable and courteous. He fixed the problem very quickly. I will be charged for one hour at time-and-a-half plus the replaced copper hose.

He gave me a $10 Angie's List discount. They did not charge me for the parts. The service went very well. The plumber was polite and pleasant. He worked quickly and efficiently. I thought the leak was going to be a bigger problem, but he was able to fix it easily. I would not hesitate to call them again.

The person I spoke with on the phone (I think her name was Jenniffer) was very friendly, thorough, and patient. They were able to give me a rough estimate over the phone on all the jobs except for the sewer pipe repair (understandably). They were on time except once for which they called to let me know they were running late. And they always cleanup after themselves, sometimes cleaner than it was before they came!

He was a nice guy, listened carefully, was very courteous and knowledgeable with his skill. They were quick with responding to my phone call and showing up.

We just bought our first house ever in Mar Vista. The inspector informed us there were inadequate plumbing connections under the house, and I had three estimates done as to the repairs needed. I received a wide range of price quotes, including one for over $10,000 to replace the copper plumbing. I told Rick Campos that I was looking for a plumber for the present and to be loyal to in the future. That's exactly what he wanted to be for us as well. So his men dealt with the plumbing issues in short order, exactly as promised. And yes, the copper plumbing is type "M," but they didn't recommend replacing all of it, just one section. We breathed a sigh of relief. Next they told me there was nothing wrong with the original gravity [floor] furnace, it just needed to be rebuilt and some parts replaced. What a breath of fresh air! Regarding the main sewer line from the house, I braced myself, expecting the 60+-year-old pipe to have to be replaced. They cleared the roots and noted the presence of small gaps between pipe sections, but parallel to how my friends do in their houses, Mr. Campos recommended clearing the roots every 9 months or so and not replace the pipe 'til it breaks. These decisions are all clearly done in my best interest, not to make the plumber money or soak me for marginally-needed services. I think Campos Plumbing is the kind of company you want to rely on long-term. All my plumbing issues are well-solved and honestly assessed.

Mr. Campos came quickly under emergency conditions (water line had sudden major crack and was gushing water from underground) and he gave me a reasonable estimate, including how long the job would take. He started the work quickly and he and his men did an excellent job; they were prompt, worked neatly and were very professional. They had to jack hammer a trench across the driveway and cut Saltillo tile in the patio and after the repairs they cleanly patched the driveway trench and replaced cut tiles. I am proud to highly recommend them to anyone I know. I have to add that I had called another company earlier that morning for an estimate and got a completely ridiculous/obscene quote from a large chain company (this other man also lied and said he had to run 150 feet of line and not 80!). Mr. Campos truly, truly saved the day. He is an absolute gentleman and has an old school way of doing business that is commendable.

Had Campos plumbing come out to address some concerns with loud shaking pipes in the bath. The two man team did a great job and since they were there, I asked them to install some new hardware. They did everything I asked. The next day, I had them come out to fix a leak a different plumber (that a warranty company sent out) didn't fix. Th price is fair and they do a great job.

Their prices are very good. They always give me a good and accurate estimate in the beginning. The office staff is very efficient. They are time efficient and usually always show up in the time frame they give me.
