He followed up quickly to set up a time to come out to our property to give the estimate. He was thorough and professional. He followed up with the proposal in a timely manner.

Many of ground covering plants died within days of planting. He has been by several times. promised to fix but there has been no resolution.

My experience with the vendor was perfectly fine. I just did not realize that the quote would be so expensive and that I would have to purchase all plants, grass, shrubs, etc. on top of the $6600 worth of landscaping work. My Angie's List Big Deal would only cover a small percentage of the total cost.

At initial contact, seemed that he had immediate availability. Not the case after he came by. Honestly, not the friendliest contact at the company.

It went great, Yosi and his boys were punctual, professional and respectful of our property and the neighboring properties. They were also accommodating to a few impromptu changes. Yosi also had some leftover sod which he did not charge for that they used to re-sod our front sidewalk patch and also our neighbor's sidewalk patch! The boys even helped our neighbors. They actually finished our project a little early and instead of just packing up and leaving, Alberto, Yosi's point man, asked what else I'd like done! I was impressed with his professionalism, and I had them remove some ancient iron pipes sticking out of the ground leftover from an old fencing system. We are actually waiting for another quote from them for our front yard. Will definitely hire again.

Met with Yoshi of Rain Forest LA on July 8, 2013 at Ms. Mondy's home to discuss what projects he thought we could accomplish with Angie's List promotion and other funding provided by purchasers. Provided design ideas (hand drawn design); he indicated he would send proposal. Yoshi forwarded proposal contract on July 14th with general outline of project; design presented did not cover all areas identified in proposal or discussion on July 8, nor did it provide detail regarding materials and associated cost breakdown (irrigation materials, etc.). Sent Yoshi an e-mail on July 21, 2013 at 9:30 am with supporting document requesting a detailed listing of materials in proposal with associated cost breakdown, and a request for an updated proposal relative to these issues and updated tentative design. Received an e-mail response from Yoshi at 10:20 p.m. on July 21, 2013 with very few changes (updated language to address request for drip irrigation), no design update and still not breaking down costs associated with project into details for materials. Sent another e-mail to Yoshi on August 30, 2013 indicating that the costs identified for materials on his proposal were high for our region, that my budget was $3,000.00 for the project and hopefully we could come to a happy medium (other quotes I researched and received for materials - ex: Rain Forest quote for flagstone: $1,380 vs. another company: $860 - delivered). Received an e-mail response from Yoshi with proposal totally eliminating flagstone and replacing with gravel at the a higher quoted cost for materials as I received for flagstone ($960), and the same cost estimates for irrigation and lowered cost for plantings related to estimating less plant materials. Overall, there was much back and forth with landscape company (one meeting and several e-mails over two months) requesting increased detail, a design plan that addressed all areas of project and material cost breakdown(s), given agreement that much of the labor would be covered via Angie's List coupon(s). We never received the requested level of detail necessary to evaluate proposal properly. Dollar figures identified for materials were much higher than quotes received from local building materials proprietors. This may have been too small of a project for this company, but we don't see coming to an agreement given their obvious reluctance to "strive to provide the customer with a personalized plan that will fit their specific need and budget for what they're trying to accomplish. Were always sure to finish our projects on time and under budget. We always provide you with schematics, a budget and timeline that we'll aggressively set out to meet," as referenced on their website.

The estimate came out much higher than I anticipated with what I had already paid. It wasn't going to work out and the provider simply told me I could get a refund for what I had paid with Angie's List. Everything else was fine and he was very professional.

Everything was smooth and perfect. We are completely satisfied.

Yosef showed up at 7:30 am as promised. He and his crew began demolishing the existing retaining walls. They were efficient and quiet. All materials were removed and carted away at the end of the project. All excess dirt was placed in another part of my garden. The remaining dust particles were washed away into the grass or planter area. The area was left spotless. I showed Yosef which plants I liked in my existing garden and he found other plants to use in the new planter area that complimented them beautifully. I would not hesitate using Yosef again for any other project in my yard.

Yosi was great from the first contact through completing the project to cleanup afterwards. Our new house had been a rental for several years before our purchase and needed quite a bit of work to get it back to decent. All workers were professional, hard-working and friendly, and I especially enjoyed my trip to the nursery to pick out plants with Yosi. Our yard looks gorgeous now!

ng of the second dayInitially indicated it could take a month to get to the project. The owner, Yossi promised to come in sooner if he could, and did, perhaps a week after I signed the contract. The job took two days. On the morning of the second day, after taking about watering needs for the new garden, I asked about installing an automated drip line. He agreed to do so for $550. His workers were conscientious, clean and unobtrusive. The whole job went quickly and easily and I expect that the koi will all survive the experience. Thanks Yossi!

We had the company out for the big deal. Yosi came out and went over what could be done. He sent an estimate for various tasks. We found out that we really needed a landscape design plan first - but this company mainly provides the labor for carrying out your plans. In addition, we did not realize that we would have to arrange to get the debris (created by the landscaping work) hauled away. On 08/02/2013, I upgraded scores for this company because Yosi was very responsive in providing us with a refund when it turned out that they could not provide the service that we needed.

I have had a meeting with them. He was very nice. He was just a bit high for us. I would use them again. He spent time with us.

It actually went pretty well and I was impressed by it. They did an awful lot and we're happy with the results. They got the job done quickly and easily I think within a day. They listened to us and talked to us about our needs. They kept getting back to us with revised budgets until we found a set of things that we could get done that we were comfortable with, so they were easy to work with.

Yosi was very professional and nice. He called me right away and followed up. I just decided in the end that the total amount he was charging for his services was too much for what I was getting, and was more than I expected.

The owner was very professional.He called and acknowledged that I had purchased the service.We made an appointment for him to come out and look at the property.We discussed what could be done and what couldnt .I am more of a detailed person so for me ,detailed info on what exactly would be done,such as a certain amount of plants will be planted,hedges trimmed,trees trimmed etc instead of a# of man hours that will be provided.I had to pay extra for dumping and purchase plants.

They were perfect. They did the job I asked and it was good.

It turned out very well. It was very beautiful! They did a super job. Everything they planted went on to grow and they thought of new ideas that we had not thought of- it looks great!

I am always scared getting into projects around the house because of bad past experience. This process was the way things should be. upfront, professional. We were told what is included and what is not. We were told what is extra and how much.The team was punctual, clean and professional. Yosi communicated with us along the way and we felt comfortable.Very common sense business approach, very fair. Would recommend highly

Yossi and his team basically stopped showing up on the job and did not return phone calls, emails, etcetera. He was also one of the most unpleasant and abrasive people I have ever met.

Rainforest's initial quote was under $10,000. 1 1/2 days into the job, they informed us that there was "too much dirt" and that the extra compaction work would increase the cost by several thousand dollars. Basically, Yosi knew he had us over a barrel. The workmen were there, the pieces were there, and it was a scam. Yosi was combative and nasty. We finally came to an agreement, and the slope work was semi-completed, although not in the estimated time span. The work was substandard, leaving the top of the slope open to very serious drainage issues. The city inspector who saw it agreed. Yosi refused to improve the work or fix the drainage issue without opening a NEW proposal- of $8,000! Since we could not afford this, we left the slope as is. Yosi then failed to even plant the ground cover which was included in the original, signed-off proposal. He now fails to respond to communication. Eventually we will need an entire new landscaper to fix Rainforest's bad work and inattention.
