Description of Work: They charged me for an estimate ...I purchased an Angie's list coupon for a sprinkler tune up! I would advise extreme caution when buying any of Angie's list "deals" ! I bought another coupon for an outdoor lighting tune up and they did even less! So BEWARE!!!

Description of Work: There was very little "inspection" done. A few quick glances at the different components of my irrigation system. However, there was a very thorough and professional estimate for additional services provided.

Description of Work: Removed dirt and repaired bender board and trimmed shrubs.

Description of Work: I purchased a coupon for Rain Forest LA near the beginning of July. The provider was quick to come to my house to get me to sign a contract for the work indicating an additional charge of $300 for haul away of debris from the trimming I was requesting. I did not like this, but I had already paid for the coupon and felt like I didn't have a choice. I returned the contract at approx the third week of July and concurrently requested that we schedule a date for the work. Since then, I have made a minimum of six requests for a date for the work. The provider responded once to say the work could be "started at the end of August." I reminded him that it was a one day job. No response. Beyond that, I rec'd no response until this morning after I sent him a message indicating my belief that he did not intend to do the work and that I would be pursuing the refund of my money. Even then, he ignored the dates I gave him in that message to complete the work and offered his own timing. At this point I have no confidence the provider would show up or, if he did, that the work would be done to an acceptable level of professionalism.

Description of Work: My business partner and I bought this Big Deal with the intention of using it toward landscape design for one of our multi-family properties. Although Landscape Design was listed as an example project on the web page, this Big Deal was evidently for labor only. The provider was however pleasant and prompt when he came out to look at the job. Since we have years and years of DIY experience in terms of landscaping, we decided to move forward on our own.

Description of Work: As I have spent money on both paving stones and plants, I have been seeking clarity for over 10 days regarding provider's availability. I have repeatedly tried to get at least a general idea of a start date for this project. I have offered to provide service provider with a key to my yard so they could schedule the work to be done both during the week and/or weekend. I have tried phone calls and e-mails over the several weeks but no responses from the service provider other that they will get back to me "tomorrow or the next day" which never happens. At that point I did not want to begin a project with a service provider that does not follow through with what they said they would do.

Description of Work: After playing phone tag for a while, I was able to schedule a time for the contractor to stop by. We made the appointment several weeks in advance, and he was to come by the house on the morning of 5/16. Late on the evening of 5/14, he left a message on my phone indicating he would not be able to come. I did not see his message until late the following day and had not had chance to call him back when he called and left another message on 5/16, saying, "I left a message for you two days ago. Call me back!" He went on to say that he wanted to be sure I wasn't waiting for him, and I give him credit for following up, but given the fact that he couldn't honor the original appointment, and that the tone of his message was extremely brusque, we don't feel this is ever going to be a successful relationship.

Description of Work: Owner arrived as scheduled to view job and give an estimate of costs. His estimate was more than my budget would allow and he graciously withdrew.

Description of Work: I chose this Big Deal because it specifically said tree and bush trimming. When Mr. Rozen arrived and I showed him the first item on my list, the vine on the front of my house, he said he would have to charge extra because it was over 12 feet tall. I told him I read the disclaimer very well before I ordered and height was not mentioned. He said "this was a promotion, why would I offer that?" When I called him later to confirm the lack of disclaimer in the ad (I originally assumed I was wrong and had missed it), he argued and said it WAS there. That was the last I heard from him. This was a very discouraging experience. I use Angie's List so I don't have these kind of hassles with contractors.

Description of Work: Rain forest have done several jobs for us, over few years in 2 diff locations. Always prompt, honest, professional and fair value. This last job included many upgrades to our back yard, including adding a deck, landscape, hard scape and much more. Our back yard is now the envy of our neighbours
