Since the Angie's list purchase was for a 2 hours, they guys had time to apply to my walls, but it wasn't dry enough to sand or finish, so I had to do that part myself. Not really a fair test of their abilities.

I bought the Angie's List coupon buy for $299.00 for 8 hours of Drywall/Plaster work. Willy contacted me shortly. We discussed the project and decided that drywall would be the best option. Willy and his helper arrived on Wednesday and worked just short of four hours. There was an outlet, dryer exhaust tube, drain pipe and two faucets behind the washer and dryer. They did a great job working around all those obstacles. They cleaned up well after they were done. There was an additional $60 for materials. It was a pleasure dealing with Willy and I highly recommend him.

This "handyman" first gave me the run around for about 24 hours. He was supposed to come on Monday 12/2/13 - then lied and said he called and left messages, even though I had called him earlier. Wait, isn't my number already on his phone? Then, he cancelled and said he'd come the following day - today 12/3/13. All I wanted him to do was to put up Christmas lights on my house. I asked him to bring a tall ladder, as my home is a story and a half. When he and his buddy arrived, they took one look at my house and said "oh, we need an extension ladder for that." Basically, he was ill prepared for the job. Do yourself a big favor and don't EVER USE THIS COMPANY - they lie and then once they show they can't do the job. I should have done more research before purchasing their $99 deal. They are horrible. The worst. Don't ever use them for anything. Iww. It's a shame because we really could use a great handyman. Too bad this company sucks.

Everything was done as I wanted. Actually Willy found some places I did not notice and did them too. He also explained to me what he was going to do before he did it. I am very pleased with the work.

It was excellent. I asked him to come back to paint the whole apartment since he did a good job. He was here on time.

Only after I went entirely through the payment and appointment process, |and only after I made several calls to verify my appointment, |did this company inform me that they don't service my neighborhood! |They wouldn't budge, even in my situation. |Then it took Angie's List weeks to refund my payment! |A bad experience all around.

I paid for the deal, then left messages and emailed the provider. I did not get a response until I complained to Angie's List. Finally the provider responded and we set a time for this morning for him to come do the work. He never showed up and it's 10:30 AM already. Please IMMEDIATELY refund the money. What a horrible experience.

Fine, except for the dust. It would have been better if they had cleaned up better.

I dealt with him entirely through email. I asked him if he worked in Orange County, and he said, it depends on how big the job is. I described the job to him, and he said that he would be able to do the job. Then, I went ahead and purchased the Big Deal. Once the deal was purchased, however, he told me he didn’t service Orange County, despite saying that he did in previous emails. I will be getting a refund and going with someone else.

I purchased a $299 Handyman for the day from RAD rooms and patios. I left a message with some potential dates, but never heard from the contractor. Today Louie called me and said he was on his way, and had an appointment with me from 9-11, however, I did not make this appointment. I never spoke to anyone. I told him that I could not make it. Louie became very irate, and told me to get a refund because he would not work with me. So I guess I am asking for a refund.

They never called me to set up appointment, so after some time, I contacted them. After two messages, they informed me that they don't service my area. They were very nice and apologized for not being able to honor the deal.

On the day of the appt (Monday), Mr. Willy Martinez called 2 hours prior to the scheduled time and asked if he could come over early. I rearranged what I was doing to accommodate him. I had told him prior about 2d story gutters, but he showed up in a sedan and without a ladder. He said he'd have to return on a later date. He was most personable and did have a helper and they did go to work immediately. We rescheduled for Wednesday. On Wed, he was unable to make it; said his vehicle was broken down. We rescheduled for the following Monday for the morning. he e-mailed in the afternoon to say his car was still not working. When I asked "Couldn't you have contacted me in the morning? I waited from 8am-12noon", he apologized and said, No, he couldn't. I told him my time is as valuable to me and his is to him. I decided to discontinue using him. As personable as Mr. Martinez is, he came unprepared for the job, and of all 3 appointments, he was never on time.

Willy Martinez and his partner showed up on time as scheduled and did an outstanding job in patching up the hole in the wall made during the water heater exhaust replacement. The patch looks fantastic and now we just have to do a little light sanding and then paint the wall and everything will look like new. Willy was very responsive via both e-mail and phone and called the day of the scheduled repair and a 1/2 hour before showing up. Both gentlemen were very courteous and they cleaned up after their work.

He arrived on time with a co worker ( who did most of the work while he watched) , they then disapeared into the truck for 45 mins. He filled in the holes and plastered over. It looks messy and our painter is going to have to sand and speckle. The worst part was the mess. I saw a few spots on the floor and told him i would clean them up. when I checked upstairs there were plaster bits all over the stairs and the floor. I would not use them again.

Willy and his helper did an excellent repair. Could not tell afterwards that the repair had been done. The reason I did not give him an A rating is because I bought the big deal from Angie's List for 3 man-hours of drywall repair for $99. The ran over an hour and I ended up paying more. I felt they should have gotten the job done in an hour and a half. Willy insisted on doing all of the finishing work, which requires drying time in-between costs. I think that is what took them so long. I that I told him I could finish up, having done drywall many times myself. (I only hired them b/c I had no way to transport drywall from the store, and I on a ceiling, I can do it by myself). Willy insisted on finishing the whole thing, and then gave me a bill for more than the $99, $10 of which was for the sheet of drywall and I I think traveling time-- I don't remember the specifics on that. He expressed his desire to do a complete and professional job, and the work was outstanding. After the job was completed, he had trouble figuring out the final bill, and I had to point out some errors in his calculations.

Great experience - was easy to communicate with Willy and he always showed up on time. They did a great job and the work they did looks like an original part of the house. I first used him for drywall for a deal I bought on Angie's List, and he did such a good job I had him come out the next week to paint too. And very reasonably priced!

Very professional, on time, cleaned up after job......When I added the wall painting, he had no problems with the last minute request. I would use again and will in the near future....got to hang some curtains.

Below is the actual message I sent to the provider. I can't even begin to say how disappointed I was!!!!!!! Not to mention how much time has now been wasted. This is not at all what I call good customer service. My very first request in the notes section upon my purchasing this deal was "please call to schedule time," and included my cell phone number. That message was ignored and it took me a few days to discover your chosen method of communication was through angieslist.com's message center. Ok, so I messaged you back. No time available on the day you chose for me! Ok, I then texted you...per YOUR request. No response to my text message. I go back on angieslist to ask why no response to the text message and the response is you "didn't get the text." I checked the phone number. It was the number you gave me in your angieslist message, and my phone says the text went through. I would like a refund!!! When it takes more than a week for any business to simply make an appointment to get your business, and they cannot even pick up the phone and talk to you...and they make excuses about not receiving messages, (Really?!!) the job and the service tends to end the same way. This message was sent because after my trying to deal with the message center and after texting this service provider (per his request) and not getting any results, I requested to receive a call or an email from RAD to get the appointment handled (or give me a refund) , he told me to get the refund. Wow!! I'm sorry, but this is extremely unprofessional, horrible customer service and undeserving of a good rating. When I called angieslist.com to request a refund, the representative was very apologetic for the vendor's unprofessionalism and I was informed that this is not how they want their vendors to treat their customers.

Willy and his colleague called when they were on their way and arrived on time. They moved more quickly than I expected so rather than just leave earlier, Willy offered to do the extra work of fixing the wall outlet and patching holes in the wall. The handyman that my landlady uses does sloppy work so it's refreshing to work with someone who takes initiative. They were very careful while they were doing work which I appreciated. They even brought their own vacuum to clean up after they were done. Willy was quite conscientious about leaving a mess even even when they were storing some items on the patio while they worked inside. He even swept up a bit after they picked up their gear. I liked them so I asked them to repair a couple of patio chairs for me as well. I gave Willy a 50% deposit and I expect the chairs to be done and returned in a couple of weeks. Overall, I'm pleased with the quality of vendors I've found on Angie's List.

He was very nice and helpful. He arrived clean cut and wiling to take care of whatever I needed done.

Willy missed our 9:00 appointment time completely. He called an hour after to announce he would be there at 11. At 11, I emailed and texted to find out where he was. He said he skipped the appointment because I didn't answer his call at 10, which is crazy because he never said he would call to confirm and 10 was an hour after he was supposed to be at my house. His only response was that I should get a refund for the package I had purchased. Total waste of time in every respect.

Was awesome, they showed up a little late but the job was good and interactions over all were awesome. I'd definitely recommend them for work again 8)

It was a terrible experience. He was 3 hours late. He responded to a job that was very specific and when he got there, not only was he not licensed in the trade that needed to be done, he informed me he would not do the work. He showed up in a car with tools and a ladder crammed in the back seat. Not what you would expect from a professional contractor. His helper needed to use one of my ladders because he only had one. His "helper" was his son so he was babysitting on my job. He did offer to provide a license for the trade I was asking him to perform but it was going to cost me extra. It is illegal to work under someone else's license. I hired him because I had an inspection the next day and I needed the help. Now, because of him, I am going to fail the inspection and not only do I have to pay him for a job he did not do, I am going to have to pay extra inspection fees. I am very disappoimted in him and the referral from Angie's List!!!!

Wally and his crew did a great job. Demolishing plaster is a messy business and they did better than most in clean up, Wally noticed that an iron gate on my front patio was detached and sitting in a corner and threw in the repair for that for free.
