The initial painting was okay but I purchased another for a drywall repair and I didn't realize that it was the same company so you can't purchase another one. They said they wouldn't honor them so I was getting a refund. They told me to contact you and Angie's List said I have to contact them. I have not received a refund yet. They did fine. One thing they did on wood work was they used a roller instead of a brush so it came out to be rough but they were neat and tidy. They did a good job on the prep work. When I tried to get an estimate for more work it was really high so I didn't use them. They charged me for another $100 for the extra hour.

They were very good and very efficient. They were really quick, actually. They also took the time to tidy up and that was very good.

They came and did the job. They thought they were just supposed to be patching a little hole but there was a flood. I just want to get what I paid for, they left left about 15 minutes early.

I couldn't even get them to communicate with me to set up the appointment. The guy told me to text him, then didn't answer my texts. Once I finally got a response from him, he told me I could ask for a refund.

I did everything he told me to do when he came out to give the estimate. He called me on Tuesday and said he would have to rent some other equipment and I would have to pay for it which was another $80 a day on top of what he quoted me, I agreed. He showed up over two hours late without even calling or an apology when he arrived. He showed up with a boy that looked to young too be working. He started the project and was supposed to come back and finish. Then his brother called the following day and said that they cannot finish the job; I asked if someone else could take over the job in the company to carry on where he left it. He said they could but it come at an additional cost to me. Because of the job itself, it needed to be painted afterwards, he texted me he had some paint samples to show me, I asked him to bring them by. He texted me back with a bunch of emoji symbols saying that OMG she wants the paint samples now! I texted him back and said I don't think this was for me and he just said my bad. They have not done enough work for $450 worth. And now they are not acting as if they are going to complete the job. And trying to charge me more for someone else in the same company to finish the job, this is absurd.

Working with Willy was great and easy. He's very responsive via email. Due to an illness of a member of his crew he had to cancel our initial appointment. We were notified early and it was not a problem. The next appointment was rescheduled and they showed up promptly. They did a fine job painting one room with two coats. Then they started on another room but was only limited to the 14 hours purchased so I finished the rest. I would recommend that if you purchase time for painting, take the time to help prepare the areas you want painted. That will really maximize the hours of the painters. Overall, Willy's crew is clean, kind, and courteous. Great work.

I called the vendor on the number provided to describe the job I needed done and to see if it would be covered by the Big Deal. I phoned him after the purchase, and THEN he immediately began suggesting that the job would take more than 3 hours. I kept saying that 3 hours would be fine, and if it required more time either I would do the finish work myself , or would consider having them finish it. We set up a time for them to come to my home see the project and they said they'd arrive between 12-2pm. (Based on this I schedule a work client at 2pm) The day of the inspection, I made many phone calls and left messages, some of which they answered saying they were near (other times they didn't answer), they still arrived at 2:30 (as my 2pm client waited and watched.) As my client told me later, it seems that I knew more about what the job needed than the contractor. With the continued poor communication and him seemingly pushing for more time (at $200/hour) I said that I didn't think working with him would work out. I have had great interactions with some of Angie's vendors, but I just didn't trust this guy.

They did a great job. All went smoothly.

Willy and his asst did a great job.. i'd pulled off my curtain rod in the bedroom which had left three holes that needed repairing and new supports so that the rods could be safely re-fitted in the same place. Holes were made good as new and despite the rod being tricky to put back he did that as well. They cleaned up after their work very well and overall did a great job. I'd happily recommend them and would use them again for sure. thanks Richard

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and it was a bit of a mixed experience. It was somewhat confrontational. We wanted the wall to be finished to a smooth finish and in plaster speak that means that it should be brought down to a 12 finish smooth or if you cannot get it through a 12 finish you would sand it. The more advanced plaster would bring it to a smooth finish of 12. So that really is hard for the eye to pick up on these imperfections. So, they brought it to an imperfect finish, and all they needed was to sand it and it would have probably taken them no more than a half an hour more, but their interest was just getting out of there so it was frustrating. My issue with them was that they failed to finish the work in technical terms. They took it personal almost. What they needed was to get a sand foil come in and sand it, just be done with it and do not get me all left in the air. My background is, I am a journeyman painter from local 1138 district council 35 South Boston, Massachusetts, good standing journeyman, so I understand what the plaster's role is. I was not trying to hold them to the most perfect standard. If they cannot go to a perfect smooth finish that a lot of guys cannot then they are not really in that trade, but you can sand the wall and finish the job, because painters do not sand I know that sounds almost offensive to home owners. Painters sand only what they prime. So, he thought that I was some crazy guy that probably never had done this before and I spent my entire young life doing this stuff. In the beginning stages of this discussion, I always said I need a smooth finish. I even primed the wall up for him to creat that plaster base. It just was frustrating and that is all I could say. He was more just in getting out of there in his time allotment than he was in doing the job assignment that he agreed to do. I called him out on his finish work, he could have said you got me, what do you think and I even gave him solutions, I said I will sand for you with you side by side just let us get this thing done. His price was not good for the finished work. He was not good on punctuality. It looked like this was his first time out.

Things were done quickly and efficiently. When there were any questions I was included. I appreciated the questions rather than discovering that what I had said was interpreted differently that I expected. Everything was pretty straight forward. Both men were very friendly and easy to talk with.

3 men arrived home and was told that 2 of them would sand the front door and one would paint a very smll bathroom. They were by the clock and worked for two hours. They did not finish anything. Bathroom painting was not finished and what they painting does not look good. They sanded the door but told me it would take more time to do it and that it would cost $150 per hour if they stayed. I really feel I wasted my money as what I wanted done did not get done. I expected something would be accomplished in 6 hours of labor and nothing was accomplished,

They were able to schedule me before I left on a trip. They arrived on time. They called about a half hour before arrival to confirm that I had all the materials required but seemed disappointed when I said I did. I had a list of 7 tasks that should have taken a half hour or less each, none of them required any special expertise; I would have done them all myself before arthritis restricted my mobility. I was hoping 5 of the tasks would get done, expected 4 and got 2. It was 2 workers for 1 1/2 hour but it seemed they were sharing about half a toolbox. The task I said was my top priority did not get done, they waited until time was up and there would be additional charges. They couldn't change the r.o. water filters or install a water heater support band because it was plumbing. They did offer to lend me a stud finder and watch me do the work on the water heater band. They wouldn't change an electrical outlet because it involved electricity. They didn't have the tools to install a pet door in the door. They did manage to put weather stripping around the furnace door and install the pet door where a larger pet door had been.

RAD Rooms were very responsive and did good work.

It was a good service. I purchased a big deal from Angie’s List. They showed up on time and there were two of them that showed up. They worked well together. It was a good experience. They left a drill and I called them up and they said that I could keep it. There was one thing that they to fix and they fixed it. Overall it was a good experience. They were pretty good.

We had a little miscommunication about the start time, but after that the project was smooth sailing. The two guys showed up and got to work, fixed more cracks in my walls then I thought they would, and REALLY cleaned up after themselves. They even mopped!

I have a room which i tore out built in cabinets. Some of the plaster was damaged from this process but not a crazy amount. I know how to drywall, plaster, skim coat and all that but wanted someone to tackle some of the job. I assumed they would tell me it went beyond the 3 hours provided by this deal and want more money. I told them i just wanted the 3 hours and to do what they could in that time. They did a pretty sloppy job which made more work for me in the end. I think since they knew they weren't going to up-sell me they just did a half a** job. I wish they would have taken their time and done what they could in the 3 hour time with a little more care for the finish. I have taken a few of these angies list deals now and know to always expect the providers to come in looking to up-sell.

After speaking to Willie at RAD, I am dissatisfied because of scheduling issues. The morning we had agreed to do the work, I received a text saying they were on the way at the time we had discussed the previous week. No request for a reply or confirmation was asked for. The message said 'we are on our way', not 'please confirm' but when they still had not arrived 1 1/2 hours later and I texted to see where they were, the response was that I did not confirm so they went to another job. He then told me he would come after they finished there at a time I could not do. Not how I do business. I also had concerns about additional costs as he immediately stated that there would be some without having even seeing the job. Legitimate perhaps, but also felt a little sketchy.

Everything was done to my satisfaction. I will use this company again.

Did not keep orig appt but did call and re-set the same day. Not easy to juggle time with so little notice ?but hey?stuff happens. Did as directed?good job?and helped dispose of the trash.
