Description of Work: Toilet was stopped up; I tried with hand snake and plunger (they say not to do this, but when you're desperate..........). Consulted the List and called Plotke; they had a guy here in less than 11/2 hours. After I explained the situation, he was concerned about another toilet downstairs, in case the trouble was in the sewer line. After I assured him the downstairs was OK, he got a toilet auger from the truck and within 30 seconds he was done. Very bright and neat kid. Seems expensive for such a short time, but that's the deal: $96 an hour. But that includes expertise, equipment, and getting here. I'm happy.

Description of Work: Plotke Plumbing repaired an undersink leak, a leaking bathtub faucet, and diagnosed a leak from my washing machine that was showing up on my basement floor, although the washing machine is on the first floor. The service person was clean, polite, obviously competent, and efficient. I would use them again and recommend them to others. I wish they weren't so expensive, though. Julia Russell

Description of Work: After an expensive estimate - he told me I had to go without a water heater for 2 days....They say 24 hour service but only 8 hours are at straight time!

Description of Work: I tried several starred companies from Angie's List. Came out, could not snake drain, used cameras, cameras were wrong, said they would return, never did. This company worked hard and cleaned drain...they came out, returned, repaired drain....I am using them on a 6 months preventive schedule now....this is the first report I have written because they were uniquely good...did not want to slam the others but.....

Description of Work: My basement flooded due to a faulty water heater about two days before Thanksgiving 2006. I was expecting a large group and in the midst of preparation for the affair. These people came over and addressed the problem immediately by installing a temporary water heater until the holiday was over. Then they returned and installed a tank-less water heater (which I had intended to do if the old water heater ever died) with expertise and courtesy. They even made certain that I had the proper electrical connection for the new system. Their price for the entire job was less than I had encountered when I had originally researched getting a tank-less heater (even including the pumping out water from the basement, removal of the old heater, installation and removal of the temporary heater, and purchase and installation of the new one).

Description of Work: I had an emergency in that I was unable to use the kitchen sink due to a problem with the faucet. Since I am disabled and would not be able to prepare any meals, this became a major problem. Plotke recognized this and set out a repair person within 3 hours. They are my plumber.
