Plumber that was sent said needed new valve. Came out with valve, so I thought, turns out it was actually a cartridge for the valve. Wanted to charge me for 3 hours labor. One hour was spent putting in 2 screws....Didn't fix the problem and expected to be paid 3 hours labor. This is a big rip-off. Also send apprentices to do the job. I believe in on job training, but i shouldn't be paying for it. They reduced the bill by $140, but still the problem is not resolved and I am out the time and money. I would suggest finding another plumbing company that doesn't try to run up the bill by wasting time and who know what they are doing.

Horrible! I am remodeling and my contractor told me that Plotke had completely ripped me off!

They diagnosed the problem and fixed it for a decent price! I would recommend them and use them, again!

Overall: I would say a "B" because i'm still missing that piece. They should have followed up, because thats what they'd said they were going to do. I didn't go around really pricing other places, I've used Red-Lilly before and they've done good work with me, so, thats the main reason- I called RedLilly mainly and wound up wit Plotke side answering, and they said they are together now. I guess Plotke is now buying out RedLilly. So it doesn't matter which one you call these days. The work was, I think, well done. They are just sometimes not careful with a persons property, I would say. From this and from other occasions. They should put a cloth down or something like that, be careful, Remember to apply a cloth on a fixture before you apply the pliers on it so as not to scratch. They didn't clean up well after themselves. He showed up unannounced early. So he was supposed to show up like at about 10 O'clock in the morning instead he showed up like at 8:30 in the morning. So I was like " You are supposed to be here later, I'm not ready for you yet." I had things to do that morning. In the future, it depends on what the problem is, it depends; is there a special going on, on something that I need , that I can get on Angie's List. It depends. Other times they have done really well but now that they are merging with the other company it's not as good as it used to be. To improve there service: Follow through and cleaning up after themselves. Friendly staff

Started working with this company 8 years ago, and up until they merged with Red Lily, Mario and his guys were great. After the Red Lily guys came on board, service, professionalism went down hill. One of the new Red Lily guys did a hard push to persuade us to purchase their high-prived a jet cleaning service on our broken sewer line that Mario had advised many times would not work for us. This guy persisted and even offered a 1 year warranty, which in the end we relented and bought. After the 3rd time of our sewer line clogging, Mario would no longer honor the warranty, and the Red Lily guy who sold it was gone. Not stand-up guys, and we will no longer do business with Plotke Red Lily.

We have been working with Plotke since 2010 and initially they were good, Mario was upfront and honest about my sewer line issues and what we needed to do to repair or maintain, and all was good until they merged with Red Lilly when their service took a steep dive. BTW, Ramone is great! Too bad he doesn't go to work for another company. The last time few times we used these guys, we got high-pressure sales pitches from their new Red Lilly guys, and a lot of double-talk after we purchased one of their pricy jet-cleaning sewer clean-out warranties, which Mario had always advised would not work with our old, broken sewer line. When we tried to hold Mario to the dubious warranty that was sold to us by his Red Lilly guy, he would not honor, which was after his guy disappeared. We have moved on to another plumbing company and regret that such a formerly reputable company has really lost their credibility.

Great. The plumber arrived right on time and got to work quickly. The fees were very reasonable - I had braced for much worse, and I got a discount b/c of the Angie's List membership. Highly recommended.

Prompt - Called at 8am for service; Plumber arrived about 45 minutes after call for service. Fast and efficient - done with both service items in about 10 to 15 mins tops

This company is top notched. Javier who schedules the appointments, is a professional, and his customer service skills are impressive. Ed who was the plumber who came to our house and installed our new toilet and was the one who pointed out the musty smell at our front door and proved my suspicious correct when he suggested there could be a broken pipe underneath the house. Sure enough we indeed had a broken pipe, and it was the sewer line and it was underneath our house. He immediately called Giovanni and they both went to work as to analyze the problem and make suggestions of what needed to be done. Giovanni expertise and skills are excellent and told us exactly what needed to be done in order to fix the broken sewer line. Since it was later in the day, they couldn't work on the line until the next day. Ed ended up finishing installing our toilet and then came another problem. The toilet we purchased was defective and Ed was nice enough to come back after we came back from Lowe's with another toilet, so he could finish the installation. Ed did a fantastic job in installing the new toilet. He was courteous and highly skilled. Plotke Red Lilly Plumbing crew did a fantastic job with our toilet and the broken sewer line and there prices are really quite reasonable and I will definitely recommend and use them as our main plumbing company again.

I have been using Plotke for several years after first finding them on Angie's List. They are extremely professional and responsive and do excellent work. I called the office and informed them of the problem. They made an appointment for me and the plumber showed up exactly as expected. We had moved into a new house and had some items we wanted to check before it was too late. We had some toilet stopper problems which were fixed immediately and then we had the plumber clear the main line. Everything went great!

Repaired the problem within one half hour.

My house was built in 1926 and the sewer pipes have not been changed in over 50 years. Plotke Plumbing would come out every year and snake out the roots in the main line. This year they had a hard time breaking through, so I decided to have the camera run down the length of the pipe. Roots were entering the seams of the clay pipe. Giovanni did the camera inspection, which I watched while the camera went down the line. He gave me an estimate on using a combination of pipe bursting and reline. Only 2 holes were dug and no trenching. He indicated the job would take 3 days, and offered to start a few days later, since there was no backup or emergency. I have used Plotke Plumbing on big and small jobs for many years. I trust the owners and decided to go forward. The crew showed up right on time, spent the first day doing the excavation, second and third day installing the new pipe and cleaning up. I got to see the completed job by the camera that was inserted in the line for me. I think they did a good job, showed up on time, did what they said they would do and delivered the finished job at the agreed price. Nobody likes to hear that they need a big plumbing job for their home. Plotke Red Lilly works around my neighborhood all the time. They would not be in business this long if they were not doing a good work and providing good customer service.

It would be a waste if I don't write a review on how this guys made a great work on my sink. The sink was totally broke, some of the pipes were dis-aligned and probably need some replacement on it. They came in and checked the sink. Over and Under. Said that there will be much work and much replacement to do so I just nod and they started working. The best thing is that they have already have a spare pipes on their truck and some extra things that are needed for the pipes to be perfectly fine again. They're like boy scouts that fell from the heaven. They are the solution to my pipe problem. Charges were below minimum, I just paid some extra pipes which is very reasonable. I am happy of the result. RECOMMENDED! You heard it right. I recommend this place.

I contacted the Plotke representative on 7/23/15 describing the problem with my pipes as well as sent an email attachment containing pictures of the issue. After several days, I still did not receive any response from Plotke Plumbing. Therefore, I contacted the establishment to which they consulted the manager. After some time, the representative stated that they could not render the plumbing service as it may be out of the scope of their capabilities. Why did Plotke not inform me sooner? I am disappointed in the untimely response and lack of professionalism of Plotke Plumbing.

Very nice guy, showed up early, finished in 5 minutes with snaking the drain. I was charged $110, which is almost twice what I would have expected for this job. That is what I get for not arranging the rate beforehand! I didn't argue with the price since he had been waiting around for a while before I got there (on my lunch hour). However I did a short internet search afterward, and probably next time I'll use Serviz or my condo's handyman (who is not as reliable but probably would have charged me $20 rather than over $100).

They started in the fall and finished in January. I have literally used them for a decade. I greatly appreciate that the 2 owners are knowledgeable and accessible. I rely on their thoroughness and expertise. I am not a particular trusting person but I do trust them. I am getting ready to call them again for something.

We were having issues with our new tankless water heater. We called Plotke and they sent out a technician within a couple of days. They checked everything out, called the manufacturer, and determined that it was a problem with the unit's computer. A new computer was ordered, and Plotke came out a few days later to install the new part. Great service all around!

They did a good job and fixed the problem. I would recommend them and will definitely use them again.

I have used these neighborhood plumbers for years. Not cheap, but no problems with the job. This time, the same issue came up which I will mention. ( and it looks like other reviewers have had same experience) . Had a backup the day after they came. Guy came, here 5 minutes, needed stopper, said he'd bring it. Next visit, no stopper. This guy had to install plumbing behind cabinet, and demos basically 5 pieces of wood. Also broke my sparkletts water crock dispenser and spilled a 5 gallon jug of water all over garage, had to clean up. Said he would replace it. Never heard another word, after calling twice. Then, the bill came. Extra charges: " 2 hours demo: $220.00 1 hour backup $110.00 ( here 5 minutes, did nothing, never replaced stopper). I angrily called office for these exorbitant and untruthful charges. Result; we are parting ways. They did reduce the bogus charges. I got great new plumber. They are also RED LILY ( terrible reviews). If Hire them do watch charges!!

Problem: water getting cold intermittently from tankless water heater. First visit: I advised plumber of problem and said it seemed like unit needed flushing with white vinegar per manufacturers specs as possible solution. Plumber stated unit doesn't need flushing, as a flushing can be harsh on the unit. He instead used an air blower to clean it and also cleaned the igniters. He didn't check much, if any further, for any other possible reason water might be getting cold. If he had, there would have been no need for a second visit. Problem continues: Tankless unit seemed only slightly better, but still getting cold. Called plumber back. Second visit: Plumber does all sorts of further checks and determines problem is with Gas Company not supplying enough gas to unit. Gas Company agrees and fixes problem. My dissatisfaction: I believe the plumber should have been more thorough on the first visit, rather than doing a perfunctory "cleaning" that doesn't fix the problem and then has to come back and charge me a second time. I called the office about this issue and the person I spoke with reduced the second visit bill of $200 to $156 when I questioned the amount of actual time the plumber was there on the second visit. When he checked the actual time listed it only warranted the $156. That was not cool! He was unwilling to discount or remove any other charges. I actually paid, between both visits, approximately $300. This seemed quite an overcharge to me for the value received. Despite the plumber correctly diagnosing the gas company issue (on the second try), I do not like the way this company does business. I probably didn't need the first "air blow cleaning" and/or didn't need the "second visit" where the lack of thoroughness/contentiousness on the first visit led to a need for a second visit.

Our initial meeting with Mario was fine. He came to our apartment to determine if we'd be able to install a dishwasher. He said since he couldn't see the pipes he'd have to have someone come back out and open up the wall to determine the condition/age of the pipes. I had to call him several times to get this appt scheduled which made me think he wasn't interested in doing the job. He told me it would be a fee of $104 to open the wall. When one of his guys finally came out he told us he wasn't able to open the wall because it was made of concrete. Several days later I got an invoice from Plotke plumbing for $104. I was surprised that I was being charged for this since the work hadn't been done. I called Mario and in a calm, non-combative tone I questioned the bill. This did not make him happy and he became incredibly rude and disrespectful. I tried explaining several times that I felt like they should have determined this during the initial consultation, but he'd cut me off every single time I tried to speak and in a rude, condescending tone tell me that I agreed to the service fee. I finally said that I didn't appreciate being spoken to like I was a 5 year old being repremanded and that his manner was incredibley unprofessional. He continued to argue with me and at this point I realized he wasn't going to extend any courtesy my way so I told him I planned to leave a negative review on angie's list and yelp and I wasn't going to pay the bill.

I had called two other plumbers (one a fmaily member) to address this issue and both charged me but did not resolve the issue. Ramon from Plotke showed up earlier than I expected which was a pleasant surprise, he got my previous info and personally surveyed the issue and suggested removing the toilet in the master bath and snaking the main drain extensively and clearing out the obstruction. This did the trick beautifully! He also recommended that my old galvinzed pipes would continue to be a problem and suggested that eventually I should address replacing them. I asked for his owner to send me a bid for this project which I will likely have do in the not-so-distant future, but for now my pipes are clean!

Fantastic. They are fairly priced especially for the quality of the work. They follow up and their billing is straight forward.
