When my 6 year-old front load washer drained, the hose would ?hiccup? and bang against the wall and left the clothes too wet when the cycle was finished--this had gone on for about a week. I called David--who is very nice--he said that he would send Oscar out the following day. Oscar arrived right on time and said he had never seen anything like this occur before. He thought maybe it was the water pump as there was something that felt loose inside of it. He replaced the water pump but the problem was still there. Oscar then took apart some other connection and sure enough there was a small towel that had gotten sucked inside of the unit and when he removed it, everything then worked fine. Oscar asked me if I wanted him to remove the new water pump that he had just installed. Since there was some looseness in the old water pump, I thought it best to keep the new one. Oscar is quite a detective and a very professional, kind man. His honesty and willingness to remove the new water pump--without prompting from me--was very much appreciated. After he left, I called David to tell him how pleased I was with his service and with Oscar. He told me that he was grateful to have Oscar as an employee representing his company. I will continue to use Paul?s and will refer them to my friends.

Very smooth. They were very nice, professional and personable over the phone. The workman was very punctual. showed up a few minutes early even. He knew exactly how to fix the problem and had the part in the truck. It was fixed quickly and he even cleaned up after himself. I have a 23 year old Whirlpool combo washer-dryer. The washing machine spin cycle stopped working, and the dryer vent tore and needed to be replaced. Before joining Angie's List, I had called a number of repair services, but they seemed unfamiliar with my model and I wasn't comfortable with their responses to my questions, nor with the estimates I was getting just to come out and look at it. David at Paul's Washer & Dryer Repair returned my call promptly, got specific info on the machine, and took the time to answer all my questions. We talked about the machine's problems and he gave me a reasonable estimate based on my description of what was happening with it. And then he told me that, at the machine's age, there were many more things likely to go wrong with it in the not-so-distant future, and suggested I'd be better off replacing it rather than repairing it (if I could afford to do so). I really appreciated his honest assessment and recommendation, and will definitely use this company if anything ever happens to the new machine I plan on buying shortly.

Provided recommendation to a friend to use this provider for a clothes washer repair; David responded to the inquiry by phone within two hours. Oscar showed up on time for his appointment, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in diagnosing the part, and charged a reasonable discounted fee for the visit. Ultimately my friend chose not to have the repair done, based in part on feedback from Oscar and David that the make/model/year of the washer was known to be troublesome and the expensive repair part would be likely to fail again. My friend's mother is very attached to the type of energy-inefficient agitator top-loading washer she had, which is no longer available, and after her mother rejected all the replacement machines they'd seen in stores, my friend contacted David, who went out of his way to put my friend in touch with someone who evaluated her concerns and recommended a replacement machine that was reasonably close to her mother's preferences, reliable and reasonably priced. So ultimately: quick response, helpful advice that made them no money whatsoever, and a very low service fee.

They were extremely responsive. The price was a little more than I expected. The repairmen was knowledgeable and professional.

I found them on Angie's List and was very pleased. The price was good and everything about it was a wonderful experience. The guy came out, saw the problem and could have charged me a lot more money by saying he found more problems; but instead he said the filters needed to be cleaned and charged me next to nothing. I will use him again in the future.

I called him and let him know the make and model, he gave me two possible problems and a price. We scheduled for next day repair. Our building manager noted that he was at the bldg. on time and he was quick and efficient. Once he had determined that the rollers needed to be replaced on the drum he said fifteen minutes and was done in less than twenty. This one is a keeper!

Our experience was all wonderful. David was so professional and honest. We won't call anyone but Paul's in the future.

I called late afternoon on Thursday and got a return call early Friday morning from David. He discussed a couple of possibilities for why my dryer wasn't heating and prices and told me Oscar could be at my place by late morning/early afternoon. Oscar arrived promptly (actually, he was early). After looking at the dryer for about 15 minutes, he determined that the dryer was fine (was glad to hear that since it was less than two years old) but that it wasn't getting any gas and I needed to call the gas company. I was charged a nominal service fee for his time and diagnosis.

I was given a detailed explanation what the problems with my washing machine 'may 'have been prior to the technician's arrival and with a range of possible prices depending on the extent of the repair needed. The technician, Oscar came by and was very pleasant, extremely competent and took the time to give me a 'blow by blow' account of what he was doing precisely. The problem fortunately turned out to not be as big as anticipated . I was told what the next step that was needed and that involved plumbing issues. I really, really liked this company A LOT. This was my first experience using an "Angie's List" referral and it was a FAR better experience than I even imagined. GG Brentwood

Good service. I would use them again. I think it was a bit on the expensive side but mostly due to the cost of the pump. They called me to reschedule because they could not find a part which was good.

We described the washer's symptoms as it broke down, and David advised that it wouldn't pay to have it repaired---it would cost about 50 per cent as much as a new washer. We thanked him for his honesty.

My Kenmore washer broke last week so I logged on here to try and get it fixed. I called Paul's, left a message, and he called right back. After explaining the problem I was having and the model of washer I have he knew exactly what was wrong with it - over the phone! He told me the history of theses machines, the mechanical build and advised me that it was not worth the expense to repair (the transmission on the washer was dead and would cost me more that a new washer). He then took the time to explain various models of new washers and suggested the best (and least expensive) one as a replacement. The bad news is that I need to buy a new washer (after 10+ years); The good news is that I was spared the time and expense of a service call that would not even have helped me out in the long run. If you have a problem with your washer - give Paul's a call first!

I can't tell how great and smart these guys are. They told me what I needed over the phone without even coming to see me or charging me. We need more honest and sweet people in the world like this! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Overall - outstanding! On time - professional - knowledgeable - honest. He explained how the problem occurred so it wouldnt happen again in the future.

We called Paul's on Sunday afternoon and David was able to come out the next morning. He did the job in less than an hour and left the dryer running smoothly. We were very pleased with the results.

I called Pauls to explain the problem with my LG washer. Dave obviously has experience with this machine and made a diagnosis over the phone which was of no surprise to me. I had called a technician from Active Service Appliance before Pauls and after waiting patiently for 4 hours they stood me up. Dave said they should have known the problem based on my decription. Thanks Dave. I knew I needed a new washer based on the age and amount of use.

I was very pleased with the service provided by this company. They were friendly, efficient and responsive. I had no problem getting in touch with them and the guy they sent out arrived right on time and promptly took care of the problem.

I was going crazy over Labor Day Weekend, as my washing machine was not filling with water. I thought I would need to buy a new one. Paul called me back and calmed me down. Overall I was so happy with the service, with how fast the company came out and how far above and beyond they went to help us despite the fact that they were not being paid a large sum of money to fix the problem. I would definitely recommend this company and can't imagine using anyone else should we ever experience this problem in the future.

Showed up five minutes early. Figured out the problem within 10 minutes. Had the parts, finished the job and left, all within one hour. Repair man was very nice. The whole process was surprisingly painless.

This is a family owned and operated business. I was able to arrange a service call for a specific time on the day I called. They showed up on time, diagnosed the problem and made the repairs within an hour. They had all the parts on their truck. My dryer is as good as new. I would definitely call these guys again for washer/dryer repairs and will heartily recommend them to friends.

Dave diagnosed the problem over the phone, then sent a staff member out to confirm the problem. We had to wait several days while the part was ordered, but the technician came back out to rig the machine to work temporarily while we waited (at no extra cost). Once the part came in, the technician was prompt, professional and tested the machine to make sure the repair worked correctly. I also asked for and was given an Angies List discount.

As stated above, I was completely pleased with the entire experience.
