Description of Work: On occasion, Paul's service has made a repair. On other occasions,they told me that it made more sense to buy a new appliance than to fix the existing appliance after hearing the problem that was occurring.

Description of Work: Initially called to see if Dave could fix our 12 year old Frigidaire washer. He asked the right questions and determined the timer needed replacing. Said he'd call back in an hour with an estimate of charges. He did not return my call, so I called him back after a couple of hours. He had done up the estimate, but had gotten distracted with another call. We ended up talking for 30 minutes regarding the merit of fixing vs. new purchase. After careful consideration I decided to purchase a new unit. Dave's knowledge of the rebate from DWP influenced my decision. He also introduced me to a local appliance store that saved us an additional $400. Very pleasant to talk to and would definitely use him in the future.

Description of Work: David came to our home on time and repaired the heating coils on our dryer. He got rid of a lot of lint that we could never have reached. Our dryer works like new now! Believe these reviews--the service, price and professionalism were great. I have to say that Angie's List works!

I had additional questions about my purchase and called. He called back immediately and discussed the options with me so I could make an informed decision.

Description of Work: I was in need of repair for washer bought in Feb. 2012. I contacted LA Appliance Repair Service, left a message, and within about 20 minutes received a call back from Mr. Rothman. He was professional, courteous, and demonstrated integrity in suggesting that I contact my washer's manufacturer for repair given it was still under warranty. He explained that he could definitely do the job, but it was cost extra $$, and why pay more? He also extended an invitation to call him back, should that suggestion not resolve my issue. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism greatly.

Description of Work: David was so nice and helpful. Right over the phone he said I should get a new drier based on the issues I was having - in other words, he saved me his service fee. Honest guy - I would definitely go to him should I need any appliance repairs in the future. It's nice to encounter someone like him these days - good and honest.

Description of Work: My washer began to smell of burnt wiring. Paul's repair service called me back in 2 hours, and advised me over the phone that the washer probably needed a new motor or belt, which would cost about $375 to repair. When I told him the Maytag machine was 8 years old, he said it would probably be more cost-effective to replace it than to repair it. I'm impressed with this provider's knowledge and practical advice, and appreciate not having to pay for a house call.
