Sent again.Based on Pictures told floor should be replaced.or $500 more for sand & coat and wouldn't guarantee.This is a foyer area of less than 120 sf in acceptable condition.It was refinished 5 years ago.We wanted to deal with some stains instead we were informed that we needed to spend more without a visit.When I did speak to yhe owner he indicated the distance to my residence might be a problem. Description of Work: Quoting: Kalley gladly provided several rounds of estimates as the project changed (at our, the customers, request). We found Kalley to be responsive and timely throughout the quoting process. Job: Ultimately, the job included (i) the installation of new wood, including lacing to incorporate the new install seamlessly with the original wood; (ii) cleaning, sanding, refinishing and staining of existing wood and new wood; (iii) post-completion follow up and minor corrective work. Notably, the job covered the entire residence. Review: Kalley was eager to jump right into it from the outset. Once engaged, Kalley worked promptly and was dedicated to the job's completion. Ultimately, we were quite satisfied with the final product. Our floors are beautiful and Kalley has willingly returned to review, correct or advise on any post-completion matters. Description of Work: I called to schedule an appointment to have my floors done, and when I told the owner that I had purchased a big deal, he indicated that there was a mistake and that what I had purchased was, in short, a coupon that would be applied to the work to be done. I asked pricing per coat of refinishing as he said that the coupon only applied to sanding and one coat, and he was a bit vague, but given my dimensions that the work on a 200 sq ft area would be around 700. and 300. for a small entry hall 30x30. I told him that my floors indeed were in bad shape. He told me Angie's list made the mistake, as the Big Deal did not state that this was a discount offer rather than a complete scope of work deal as listed.

Description of Work: I had to call Kalley flooring three times before they arrived for our appointment. He finally showed up complaining about the traffic. The representative that showed up looked around and said he would charge me to move the furniture. I explained that that was not in their big deal terms and I asked him how much it would be to move the furniture. He got nasty with me and would not give me a quotation. He stormed out of my house. I found him to be very rude.

Description of Work: I purchased "The Big Deal" from Angie's list for Kalley Flooring to work on my wood floors in the foyer area of my house. When I called the number on 8/23/11 at 12:45pm I spoke to an employee David who was professional but told me to call back the following Monday and send an email to the company as Harry was out of town. I called back the twice and left two messages and had not received any follow up. I then telephoned the company on 9/2/11 at 9:00a.m. and spoke with Harry Abramson. He immediately told me that this would be a "quick in and out job" and proceeded to say "I am losing money on this deal." I ignored this first comment and I informed him that the area needing to be sanded and resurfaced was consideratbly less than 100 square feet. He continued to communicate that he would not be making any money on this deal and informed me that the area should have 3 coats of finishing over the floors as this is the normal and regular practice. He then stated that he would not schedule an appointment until he was paid by Angie's list for the deal and told me to call back next week and stated that he would contact me if he received the payment prior to me calling back. WOW...Really? I then informed Harry that as a business owner myself, I would not tell my customers this and demonstrate that I was only interested in collecting the money not doing a great work. He continued to communicate that he usually does jobs that are at least a 1000 square feet and belabored on losing money and just doing a quick sand and one coat of sealer/finisher. I attempted to explain that I would like to see his work prior to hiring him for the entire house but he stated, "I'm not going to argue with you, I'll call you when I get paid." I was done. I immediately call Angie's list who rectified the problem immediately. Harry Abramson/Kalley Flooring appears to interested in the money and not the quality of the job. It appears as though he sabatoged the appointment to get out of "The Big Deal."

Description of Work: We have a 1920 bungalow. The wood floor in our mudroom was covered with linoleum adhesive after we removed the linoleum and was in terrible condition. Kalley Flooring removed all of the adhesive, sanded and refinished the floor underneath. He even improved the appearance of the the threshold which we were not expecting.

Description of Work: I am a contractor in business for over 15 years. Six months ago I had the opportunity to work with Harry Abramson and Kalley Flooring on a custom job in West Los Angeles. Kalley Flooring had to custom make flooring for a 6,000 square-foot house. The work was exceptional. Both the home owners and I were very impressed with the job quality, service and professional of Harry and his workers. Kalley Flooring is an A+ company. Try them and you will see.

Description of Work: Kalley was supposed to pull out some damaged wood in my entry way, stain it to match the rest of the wood floor and refinish the whole wood floor on the lower level of my condo.

Description of Work: Installed wood floors in 3 bedrooms, an office, large kitchen, living room and dining room. Installed plantation shutters in living room and dining room, regular blinds in the rest of the rooms.

Description of Work: Replaced our damaged maple hardwood floors, arranged the dry out and cleaning of drapes, granite floors and blinds.
