Jeff Miller Masonry

This is the 2nd time I've used Jeff and I am as pleased as I was with the 1st job. (see my review 7/17/13). He's such a nice guy and easy to work with and his workmanship is faultless.

Jeff is a great guy, and his workers did a terrific job. When he came over to do the estimate, I asked him about an issue in the backyard that I was interested in having him handle as well...and he offered an alternative to masonry that was cheaper and a better fit - effectively losing that (far more expensive) part of the job, which won me over immediately. There were some hiccups getting scheduled; because the job was a very small one, I got postponed a couple of times (albeit by Jeff's very professional and friendly wife, who manages the office). But it was worth the wait; they did an excellent job for a very reasonable price. They were fast, informative, they cleaned up perfectly, etc. I will ABSOLUTELY use them again!

We hired Jeff to remove our old dilapidated brick porch and to pour a new concrete porch in keeping with our recently renovated house. He also widened the the walk way from the driveway to the porch and expanded the width of our existing driveway. The work was excellent and it came out just like he said it would. He was able to blend the new work in with the existing so that it all looked seamless.

It went according to plan. They were courteous, knowledgable, and professional.

He did a great job. Courteous and professional.

He was very clean and punctual. He was precise and professional while performing the work.

He started a job that he was not skilled to do. He participated the purchase of the stone, but was confused about the order when he saw it. That should have been a red flag. The project was a interior fireplace done in dry-stack stone. My house is old, but this contractor did not bother to get a plumb reading with his laser beam tool before starting the project. About 20% into the work what he had done was obviously leaning downhill. He had simply followed the old floor. He quit the job at that point and gave back the second progress payment, none of which I asked for. The problem I wanted fixed is now only one of many that I have been told by other masons exists in the work he has done. I would not recommend this contractor.

Came in a timely manner, was very helpful and spent a lot of time answering questions and making suggestions.

The corner of our 100+ year old river rock wall got hit by a car, knocking several stones loose and damaging the concrete cap. Jeff was able to schedule us in before starting a larger job and completed the work in 2 days time. We were impressed with how well he matched the color and texture of the old concrete cap pieces. Not an easy task. He also offered to better color blend a prior repair from a mason not as talented as he. We were very happy with his work and would happily recommend him.

Jeff and Carole were great from start to finish. Jeff came out on the day I requested to discuss with me what I was looking for and gave great ideas. I received the detail bid within 2 days. In fact my computer was acting strangely and I did not receive the quote the first time they sent it. Carole called to verify I received it ok. The work was done about two weeks later and I couldn't be happier. Jeff and Carole do really large jobs but they treated my planter like it was their biggest job! They made me feel important to their business. I would definitely use them again!

Jeff Miller Masonry was excellent to work with from initial contact all the way through to completion of the job. Jeff and Carole were very responsive, called and/or wrote back in a timely and professional manner, provided a quote when promised, arrived on time, the job completed exactly as described, left the job site clean, advised on proper care and maintenance... pretty much everything was great, more could have not been asked. Further to that, Jeff is an excellent, knowledgeable, honest and creative craftsman who came up with great solutions to certain issues which I believe others may have not been able to solve so easily. I highly recommend this provider.

Jeff did a great job. I was impressed with his dynamic bid. He gave one price for replacing the entire wall, and a lower price if the foundation of the current wall was in good shape. I also appreciated that he had a truck that could haul away the old blocks at the end of each day. Other companies wanted to rent a large bin to park in front of my house for a week. Once the work began, Jeff was very friendly and professional. I'm very satisfied with the job.

I was worried that this problem might be hard to solve, but Jeff proposed a very sensible solution whereby he inset a rebar connector from the porch to the new corner he planned to pour. He was able to match the porch's overhang and even reuse the existing slate tile, so it all blends together perfectly. The price seemed appropriate and reasonable to the time the job took, and Jeff (and his wife Carol who runs the office) were very easy to talk to and make arrangement with.

I emailed Jeff witha description of the project along with photos of work area. Jeff called for more specific details and we were able to price and schedule my job quite quickly. Jeff and his crew arrived on-time. We discussed & confirmed details/specifics of my project & art piece. He completed the project. The work area is so clean, it's as if as if they had never been there. Punctual, professional and clearly skilled. Highly recommend Jeff Miller and his crew. I will use them again for other projects.

Jeff did a great job. After much discussion with the neighbors, Jeff and myself we determined the minimum about of repairs that all parties would agree to do. Then we discovered my neighbor's house was in escrow and the new owners did not approve the plans as there would be a visual change to their backyard. The buyers also wanted the work done ASAP or escrow would not close. (2 1/2 weeks) Jeff was extremely accommodating with the changes in the scope of the project and the delays of the start times. When it all became a go - Jeff started immediately and even with the Fourth of July weekend completed the 42' retaining wall in time for escrow to close. I do not believe that any of the construction of the wall was compromised to accommodate the dead line. People worked late to get it done. Thanks Jeff. Also, Carole, his wife was extremely helpful in coordinating the job.

Jeff was great and so was Carole who coordinated the schedule and emailed me the contract. Both were very friendly and easy to work with.The job turned out better than I ever imagined! It was beautiful work, done in a very professional manner from begining to end cleaning up nicely when finished.Jeff was able to use most of my bricks and matched everything perfectly. The job also involved a lot of jackhammering the concrete slabs the front entrance bricks were lying on. I would definitly use Jeff again for any brick or stone work

Jeff and his wife provided excellent service from the phone call to the job site. He was very professional and knowledgable at the initial estimate and did an excellent job on the wall. They finished in one day and didn't leave a mess. The wall still looks great and I would definitely use him for all our masonry needs. Thanks Jeff!

Jeff was prompt, pleasant, efficient, and professional. He removed all of the poorly installed and worn original tile on the front patio and entry stairs, and completely retiled the area with Mexican pavers. A few areas were overlooked, and when brought to his attention Jeff corrected this swiftly. The result enhances our home and pleases us very much. Jeff even painstakingly rehung our heavy cast iron entry gate, although this was not part of his contract. We provided the tile, and Jeff's installation fee was very fair. We would not hesitate to use him again.

Everything went well from the beginning. Jeff and his crew were very nice and they even filled in a cracked fence pillar that wasn't part of this job. At the end of the job they cleaned up nicely too!

Could not have gone better. Jeff and Carole were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend them!

I wanted to extend the slump-stone wall one one side of my property to match the wall on the other two sides of my backyard. I wanted it built to code with no shortcuts (to withstand earthquakes and outlast me). I wasn't going for "cheap" - I was going for "done right". I spoke with Carole in Jeff's office (she is great!!). Jeff came out promptly and I received a written quote (professionally done and all by the book). The price was exactly what I expected - it was absolutely fair and reflective of the work I wanted. I signed the proposal and Jeff really delivered! Jeff (and his crew) started work on time each day and was very pleasant, polite to neighbors, and considerate. My neighbor on the other side of the wall was really hesitant when I told her what I had wanted to do because she had been burned with bad contractors in the past. But Jeff impressed her so much that she engaged him to add her part of the wall on her property. She is as happy as I am! Carole and Jeff always kept me informed. Jeff did not cut any corners. He really did everything the right way. He is a third generation mason and it shows. On a personal level, he is positive, honest, really likeable, and trustworthy. You won't go wrong with Jeff Miller Masonry and I can't express how satisfied I am or recommend him highly enough. I will definitely be hiring him again to do my BBQ and fireplace. HE IS FABULOUS!

He was on time, personable, and did quality work. They did a great job cleaning up.

We had a major plumbing job at our five-unit rental, and in order to take care of it, they had to break a portion of the tiled patio in the courtyard in order to dig a trench and replace old pipes. We needed to find someone who could repair the patio once the plumbing job was done. Jeff came over, very quickly gave us an assessment of what the job would entire, told us that the tile we had was no longer being produced, but that he could find a close match. He gave us three different estimates--the cost of simply replacing the tile without trying to configure it to the same design layout, the cost of replacing it while configuring it to the same design layout, and the cost of retiling the entire patio. We opted to replace it and configure it to the same design, Jeff found a close match and ordered the tile, but when it came in, it was not a good match, so he sent it back, spoke to the manufacturer and got another batch, which was a better match. It took him about four days, spread over a couple of weeks, due to rainy weather and having to reorder a second batch of tile. But it looks like it did before the plumbers broke the patio; Jeff did a perfect job.

Jeff was great. His bid was right in line with the others that I received and I went with him because he would be the guy actually doing the work, he had good reviews and he was available. With that said, he did a fantastic job. The craftsmanship of the wall is excellent, he stuck to the schedule he promised and he and his wife Carole were great to deal with. I highly recommend him.

I contacted Jeff Miller Masonry for a couple of jobs and they responded immediately. When they came out he was very knowledgeable and gave me a couple of options for both. He gave me bids a few days later and we decided to do the smaller job first and hold off on the bigger one. He came and did the small job on time, they cleaned up great and were out of here. A year later the job is holding up well
