The tech did a lot of checking on the light fixtures and couldn't find anything. The problem still exists. When I turn the lights on in the back room the lights come on and then instantaneously dim. After doing a lot of research of the problem on the internet this is not an easy solution. You need some experience. The tech they sent was a young kid who has not been around much. Very nice and punctual and seemed to know the basic of electrical work, but I think this problem takes someone with some "whiskers". When I described the problem to an old time electrician the first thing he said was. "Uh oh!", in terms of trying to find the ground or short or whatever is causing the problem. Edison has already been out to check the connection at the pole and they said it is fine. 8/20/13 Follow-up report. As a result of my review, Mitch the owner of Intelectric came out to look at the problem. Right away he correctly diagnosed the problem as being the flourescent bulbs. I was impressed with his professionalism and desire to address the problem promptly. MItch has lots of experience and obviously has "been around the block".

From start to finish the project went very smoothly. The only delays were the EV Charger's lead time, and DWP inspector's work load. Both of these I might add were not Intelectric's fault. The front office and the technicians are very dedicated, and professional. I proudly recommend Intelelectric for your residential, or commercial electrical requirements.

We were very happy with the work that Mitch and his crew performed. The office staff was professional and very responsive. Overall the company was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them.

He came on time and was professional but it seemed to take him a really long time. He went over the 2 hours I had purchased by 1 hour and with that he still hadn't put the cover back on for the fan. He said there was a short and I would need to go find a new switch. No offer to get the part and come finish the job. So after 3 hours I was still left with 1 outlet not completed.

They were extremely responsive and friendly on the phone and were even able to get someone out to me the same day. The electrician was professional and capable and completed his work quickly and thoroughly.

Excellent. They arrived promptly on all three occasions. They are professional and courteous. They got everything done on our list. As mentioned above, they solved a ling-time problem that other electricians had not been able to fix, Highly recommend Intelectric.

Intelelectric sent over electrician to estimate job, and was able to come back same week to fix problem. Difficulty finding problem because it was behind built in dishwasher but repaired everything without charging extra.

Just to say this early, and I will say it often, they did a fantastic job! We moved into a wonderful house that had last been wired in the late 1950's. This meant that the entire house needed to be rewired, outlets needed to be replaced (there were few three prong outlets, and no GFI ones in the bathrooms, kitchen, nor out doors!) the breaker panel needed upgrading, the fire alarms and many lights were not up to code, and then there was the cosmetic changes we wanted to make. I called and set up an appointment, and the owner came out and walked through the whole house, room by room, and the outside. Within a few days we had an estimate and work started. One the first day of work the owner showed up with the two man crew, and we went room by room, switch by switch, outlet by outlet, and light by light so that all us were on the same page. The arranged for DEB to come out and indicate where the panel box should be moved to and applied for the permit! The same supervisor came and worked on the house everyday, often with a co-worker. They worked hard and did a great job! As is common with most jobs it ended up taking a little longer and cost a little more that originally discussed. But this was due primarily to the inspectors additional requirements (more outlets, dimmer switches in bedrooms, motion sensors in bathrooms, motion and light sensors on exterior lights, etc.) and some additions that came to us as the work progressed. The crew was friendly, hard working and clean, and the owner came by multiply times during the job! This is a family run business (the husband and wife own and run it) with a crew of employees that have been with them a long time! I would recommend them, and use them again!

Problem popped up in the middle of the day. Found the company on Angie's List. They were close, and had excellent ratings. Called to see if they could come that day, since this was the Friday before what is effectively a four day holiday, due to Christmas falling on Tuesday. The office said would have to check, and would call me back. They called back within 10 minutes and said that someone would be there within the hour. The electrician (Mitch, the owner) showed up in 45 minutes. He had a helper. They diagnosed the problem quickly, and were able to make the repair quickly, also. Everything seems to be working correctly now. Good experience, great service, will definitely use them again.

Very prompt, very professional. But the price seemed high. However, these days it's difficult to find an electrician who doesn't charge an arm and a leg. At least we haven't found one yet.

The work sorting out rather complex wiring was performed promptly and professionally with excellent results. A miscommunication in price was dealt with in a professional, fair and courteous manner.

I called to find out how much it would be to have a light fixture swapped out. I explained that i already had the old one down and just needed the new one connected. She explained they have a minimum service charge of $115. Even though they are right around the corner from me she turned down on an exception. What happened to good old fashioned customer service? I could have been a gold mine for this company in the near future and they lost out.

Always punctual with returned phone calls and appointment times, Mitch and the gang took all the work and worry out of my hands and did an amazing job. They did the work while I was out of town, and even though they ran into a snag, they were able to solve the problem according to code and complete the job. I was able to come back to a home where I could use the power without fear of death. A little over the top... I know. Thanks guys!

Intelectric is fantastic! They are very helpful as well as professional, prompt, and reasonably priced. The owner, Mitch, came to fix a failed main power breaker. They rearranged his schedule so that he could come the day I called. He came within the earlier time window, and fixed the problem quickly, and professionally.We have used them before; thankfully not too recently, and they will continue to be our first choice.

team was so courteous and NEAT! They had booties over their shoes and used gloves to hang my chrome fixture. they obviously enjoy working and together...the trust was there! they were so meticulous, even wrapping elements of my old chandelier in newspaper and carefully putting it away. even offered to haul away all my boxes from the new one. they finished the whole job in an hour. I called them in the morning and my chandelier was up a few hours later. one of the best experiences I have had with angie's list.

They were professional and courteous, and of all the estimates I received for this work, I was most impressed with Rob and his assessment of the job and what was needed to complete it. He knew the right questions to ask me, and he answered all of my questions thoroughly. During the job, the staff arrived on time and worked diligently, and they made sure to clean all areas where they were working at the end of each day. The job took the estimated length of time. They helped obtain appropriate permits. The price was competitive. During the project, we hit a few snags here and there--they are just a part of any construction job, I think--but Intelectric was very professional and resolved all issues to my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend their services. I even called them back later to install carbon monoxide detectors, and the owner of the company, Mitch, came out himself to do the work!

They were excellent. They came the same day I called and they also followed up with me. They were very attentive. They couldn?t have been more courteous and efficient. They are just a good company and I wouldn?t hesitate to call them again. I have recommended them to my neighbors as well.

It was a complete nightmare. The first visit the electrician was supposed to have assessed whether he could do the work and then gave me a quote. There was a charge for the initial visit though they agreed to apply it towards work. The quote was high -- $585 -- but I decided to go with it expecting good results because of their Angie's List best rating. The electrician came back 2 weeks later with another man to install the lights. They installed one without issue. Each man worked on the others separately , drilling 6" in diameter holes in my ceiling for the cans only to discover that the air ducts were in the way of putting in the recessed lights. They should have discovered this long before they put 6" holes in my ceiling. So, the next step was to find fixtures to cover the holes. The electrician went to Home Depot to find something. There was a small selection and not a very good one at that. So, we came up with a temporary fix until which time I could shop for nicer fixtures. Turns out he wanted to bill me the full amount still given the time it took him to go to Home Depot and then a subsequent visit that would be necessary. I could have requested that the holes be filled at considerable cost and time to Intelectric, but I wanted to find the easiest solution out of this. Despite realizing that I was still paying too much, we compromised at $285 for the work -- now one recessed light and two fixtures and I said I've live with the cheap fixtures and take my business elsewhere when I change them. Now, my lighting is also inconsistent and doesn't match because I have one recessed light and two fixtures. The electrician said he couldn't change out the recessed light because he cut out the support bar (whatever you call that) that held the original light fixture without asking so it would be difficult -- or as he said impossible -- to have that installed again. This was incredible frustrating. I could have brought someone off the street to install 3 light fixtures for less than $100. Now, as if this wasn't enough, they have double billed me on my credit card and as of 2/11, it's still not resolved.

Having called several electricians on a weekend, Intelectric called back right away and followed up a few times. Rob was incredibly detailed going through the home and evaluating what needed to be done. The customer service of this company is unmatched ? unfortunately I could not afford to go with them.

The Intellectric workers arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently, knew what they were doing, and cleaned up the area when they were done. I am very pleased with the experience.

On the alarm system removal, Robert had to make several trips between the garage and the house. He was very careful about not tracking dirt into the house, putting on shoe covers each time. The second time Robert was out, I had made the appointment early in the week for him to do two jobs but I kept finding other things that needed repair. The office cheerfully added on the additional jobs.

Intelectric project management and electrician staff were always knowledgeable, prompt, courteous and respectful of my home and personal property. Estimates were detailed and accurate. Work was done in a timely and professional manner with ongoing assessment of my needs. Staff went out of their way to ensure my satisfaction. Support scheduling and billing staff were always courteous, helpful and responsive. Excellent results. Overall, it was a very satisfying contractor experience which I recommend highly and would use again without hesitation or reservation.
