This experience was so appalling that I feel compelled to comment. In January of 2017, the electricity in our garage failed. An Intelectric employee came that day and replaced the circuit breakers. One year and 11 days later, we were without power to the garage again. I called to see if they would honor the warranty, 11 days past the expiration, and was told no. We called another electrician who came out and took care of the problem. He told me that the work done by Intelectric was substandard and their electrician had used circuit breakers that appeared to be old and recycled. I called Intelectric to share my concerns and spoke to the owner (Mitchell Weiner) who was abrasive on the phone but agreed to take a look for himself. Upon arrival, he immediately criticized the work and the type of breaker installed by the second electrician, but was unwilling to discuss or take any responsibility for the poor work performed by Intelectric. At the same time, he readily admitted that the circuit breakers his firm had installed were not the correct ones and that the worker who had installed them had been fired because his work was sub par. He refused to repay me for any of the original work his company had done and instead insisted on replacing the circuit breakers installed by the second electrician at his cost of $35.00 (he had billed me $116.20 for the defective ones) with no charge for the labor. After he left, I had misgivings, feeling that he was offering me something I didn’t want while shutting down any discussion of the inadequate work performed by his firm. When his receptionist called to schedule the appointment for the work, I asked that Mitch call me before coming to my house. He never called me but when he arrived for our appointment (an hour late), I tried to explain again why I felt the charges were excessive and that I was unhappy that an unqualified worker had been sent to my house. At this point, he was quite verbally aggressive. I asked that he make some corrective action to the original bill and not perform any work that day. He responded by saying “I am not taking orders from a woman” and yelled other equally unfriendly and unprofessional things. He turned around, walked back to his truck and left. I was relieved that he was off my property and would not be “fixing” anything but I was astonished by the entire incident. Bottom line, Mitch is a bully, he doesn’t stand behind his work, and is disparaging toward women. Needless to say, don’t use Intelectric.

Awful responsiveness from the electrician.

Even though we confirmed via email that the inspection would be on Tuesday, there was a miscommunication and the inspection occurred on Wednesday. OK, s**t happens. Mitch came to the property and did what appeared to be a very thorough inspection. Unfortunately, the estimate that was provided was for $9,660, with no itemized breakdown whatsoever. I left 2 messages and an email to convey that this was of no use and it took more than a day before I finally heard back from someone, the owner's wife. She was very nice and said she understood our dilemma and would get back to me later that day. Unfortunately, she did not. It took a couple more phone calls before receiving a call back from her in which I again explained we just needed the electrician to write down the cost of each proposed repair. He could even write it on our inspection report. She again said she would speak with him and get back to me. But she didn't. Crickets. Dealing with this company has been extremely frustrating and we would never hire them again.

Changed 8 remotes to 3, took away old equipment I did not use. Connected everything to I can listen to music and watch DVD's

We are making some changes in our home, i hired this company after getting some quotes and it was an excellent choice. We are installing a new ac system so we needed this electrical work, it was time to replace some wires and change the panel making everything ready and safe to get the new system. The workers were punctual professional and did a great job! Thank you , I definitely recommend this company.

Only Intelectric did not respond to my inquiry, even though I had indicated that I had been a customer for whom they had done pretty extensive work. The other two companies responded the same day. UPDATE: After posting a review pointing out the apparent lack of responsiveness, I was contacted by the office manager for Intelectric who explained that my message through Angie's List was delayed and not delivered until about three weeks later. If the messaging system can sometimes deliver messages so much later, that is something consumers should be aware. Also, I commend Intelectric for being proactive in correcting the unfortunate misimpression.

Good responsiveness, very professional, punctual, and clean, but terrible value! I only wanted one light fixture installed on an existing switch. I thought the job would be only one person, but 2 guys showed up. If the second guy does any work, then they automatically charge you an extra $75/hour. The total job was $420. Another electrician quoted me $150. If I knew it would be so expensive to install one preassembled light fixture on an existing switch, I wouldn't have gone with Intelectric.

I called intelectric in a bit of a panic as the outdoor lighting was not working in my garden and we were hosting an outdoor pre-wedding dinner for 80 people in less than a week. They were able to schedule an appointment on short notice and repair most of the lights but found some wiring that had to be done back at their place. They came back in two days and finished the job and everything is working perfectly. They were very courteous and friendly in trying to squeeze me, a new customer, in to an already crowded schedule and delivered as promised, on time and with a smile. I am glad to have found dependable, professional, courteous, fairly priced electricians, which i will definitely continue to use and recommend.

This was a tricky job involving careful removal of a valuable balanced power setup which I had used to power my audio visual system. Getting a nearly 400lb lump of metal off the side of a house without damaging it or the house itself is no easy task and Intelectric executed it flawlessly. From the initial quote (prompt and professional) through the work in removing the panel and installing the new sub-panel everything went flawlessly. While Intelectric are not cheap they are certainly a great illustration of getting the quality you pay for and I would strongly recommend them for any tough jobs

The price was extraordinary. He had A-1 communication. The work took one hour and he made it out like the next day. Jose was extremely polite and efficient.

Mitch was very professional and prompt on calling back and coming over to give an estimate. They did a nice clean job and were good on the budget. The company was very professional through and through. We would definitely use them again and/or refer them to anyone. I had no worries and was confident they would do a good job and they did.

It was a very basic, easy job. I had called several other companies as well, but the larger companies were unable to schedule for weeks and the smaller companies were much more expensive than Interelectric.

Their service was very unprofessional.They came to add a circuit breaker to my circuit panel and install an electric plug outlet for my Tesla. . They actually took one of my extra breakers that I had and then they replaced it with a USED one. When I asked them if it was used, they said no to my face. Then, I asked them to look at the breaker because the sticker on it showed it was very old. (taken out from an older electric box) He replied to me that yes it was a used part but when he said "new" he meant it was "new" in my box. Really! I also told him to add an additional plug in my bathroom with the extra circuit breaker that I had, but they ran away before finishing the job. He also took away my extra circuit. Following this, the LA city electrician inspector came a few days later to provide me with the permit. The inspector said that the work done did not pass inspection and that they would have to redo the job. Intelectric came back and fixed it just enough to pass the inspection and never responded back about finishing the outlet plug in my bathroom. I'm very unhappy with this company since they were extremely unprofessional,. After I paid them they disappeared, even though they said they would come back to finish the job. Beware and do not work with this company.

They were good. It was a great experience.

Job done at excellent cost and on time. Very happy with results.

After the most recent extended power outage I decided that I wanted (actually, needed) to be able to hook an emergency generator to my home. Based on their close proximity to where I live and the reviews I read on Angie's List I decided on Intelectric. I called and made an appointment with a two hour window for them to come out and give me a bid. Mitch Weiner, the president of the company, arrived right at the end of the window. I explained what I wanted, and what appliances, devices, lights, etc. that I wanted to be able to use during an outage. We went around and added up the wattage, verified that the generator I had purchased could carry the load, and decided that a six circuit transfer switch would do the job. After seeing the existing main service panel Mitch suggested that I do a Google search on the manufacturer of the panel. It turned out that the panel has a long and known history of breakers not always tripping when they should, sometimes resulting in electrical fires. I decided on my own, with no up-sell pressure from Mitch or anyone at Intelectric, to have a new main panel installed as well. The electrician, Jose, showed up on the day work was scheduled to begin right on time. Throughout the project, Jose (and his helper Mario) showed up as scheduled. On the few occasions when they were running late Lorraine from the office kept me informed on what was going on. They gave us at least an hour's notice when they had to turn off the power, and always cleaned up at the end of each day. The work was done professionally and passed city inspection with no problems. Working with Intelectric was a pleasure from start to finish. I will not hesitate to call them again should I need an electrician in the future.

All of Intelectric's staff were always punctual, courteous, patient with my questions, and made sure to involve me in the decision making. Mitch stopped by on the first day to inspect his electrician's work, instruct them how to use the AlumiConn connectors, and to discuss project strategy with me. My only minor quibble was that the owner said we would stop in periodically as the project progressed for quality control, but he did not return after that first day. However, the head electrician for the project, Abraham, was very trustworthy and I felt comfortable with his work and supervision of the project.

It was fine, but they did work for us a couple years ago. They changed some plugs and fixed some lights for us. I had a list of some little jobs for him to do. Just one electrician came out and he was here for a couple of hours. Their prices are comparable and he gave me the estimate ahead of time. They were on time and they were very professional.

They were fine. We had an electrical problem and they did quite a bit of re-wiring to get it straight. I didn't have lights and garbage disposal in my kitchen. They let me also split some payments too to pay for it. They wanted to make sure that I was satisfied. This was a big job that they had to do. 2 guys came out and it was a 2 day job. They also sent a guy out at first who we were very comfortable to be around and was very polite. It was great being and Angie's List member and working with them.

They were very expensive. They came in with a very high price. They came prepared and came in with a lot of information and paperwork. They gave a thorough estimate, but more than what was needed. The estimate was because we were looking to upgrade the amperage to an attached guest house. They would have re-wired of everything. They also mentioned that there was not enough amperage in the main house and mentioned that that should be looked at; but that was not needed.

They were good. They came when they said they would and were very friendly.

I would use them for any and all electrical work that you may have

The service was fine and I had no problems with the service.

On the expensive side, but very please with their work. Have been using them for more than 10 years. Highly recommended.
