Hauling Away: Junk Removal Service

It went very well and the two people that came were very friendly.

This is actually an update to a previous review. That review was based on what my contractor at the time told me, but Javier at Haul Away explained the situation. As I mentioned in my previous review, I would use them again and I did. This is a 2-year horror story (bad contractor). I had construction debris in my back yard for about 2 years, Haul Away came the first time and did what I felt was a good job. I was able to save some money to have them come out again and take more of the debris, and finally, my new contractor had them come out to complete the job and take the remaining debris. They are great. Javier really knows his business and he and his crew worked nonstop on a very, very hot day. My new contractor actually paid for the removal so I'm not sure of the cost, but he felt it was a very fair price for all the work they did. They are approved by the City of L.A. which was a must with the new Green policies. They are very friendly and professional, and neat! With removing all that debris they left my yard looking very good, they actually cleaned up the driveway and swept away any dirt or small debris that was left behind. And did I mention it was an extremely hot day. I would highly recommend them, especially if you live in the City of L.A. They get the job done right at a fair price.

This was the second time I used Hauling Away. They had hauled a full truck-load of construction debris several weeks previously and I was so pleased with their service I called them again for this job. The company is family owned and operated and very friendly yet also very professional. They arrived at the job site and promptly got to work. They sorted the debris into various piles so that they could recycle appropriate materials. They finished in less than an hour and also swept the area. For this job and the previous job I had used Angie's List coupons and I feel I got an excellent price for wonderful service! Thank you Hauling Away!

I purchased 3 Big Deals at $150 each (each Deal was for a 1/4 truck load) so the 3 Deals covered 3/4 of a truck. After purchasing the Deals I called the office to set an appointment. They were friendly and professional. They arrived promptly at the appointed time and date and got to work right away. The two men finished in about an hour. I was extremely pleased with the whole process and plan to hire them away at the end of construction for the final haul-away.

Javier and his helper were great. Very professional. I intend to keep using them as I continue to remodel my house.

We purchased a Big Deal for a 1/4 truck of hauling services. They showed up on time and quickly hauled away everything that we pointed out. They even swept up before leaving. We were impressed with their service so we contacted them again a few weeks later for another haul away at a different home. We would definitely use their service again!

Sorry it took me so long to write review, I had a problem with my computer. Anyway, I love, love, love these guys. Best price ever, some places charged as much as $350 for the same service. Excellent communication, very kind, very nice people. They did a thorough job even taking more that I expected. They took everything, regular trash, an old water heater, a trash can full of cement pieces, etc. They were great. I'd hire them again and again. Don't miss out. Another client gave them a bad report because they said they didn't honor certain discounts. They clearly state certain discounts can not be combined with others discounts. AWESOME. These guys rock. I got the $150 for quarter truck deal and had set a date knowing that it may be tough to do thatday. They called me on a morning and said they were aavailable and made their way to my place right on time. They were prompt responsive in very nice uniforms. Very friendly and helpful and went out of their way. They took all the trash and then started to sweep up the trail caused by the removal. They are lifesavers. You need to hire these guys for junk removal.

These guys are great. They arrived right when the said they would. I had a lot of boxes and heavy garbage so I was worried I had too much stuff for the price quoted. But they got it all and didn't have any problems. I was very pleased with their performance and would hire them again.

I was not too happy with them. They picked everything up but they said if you bought it the same day, you were supposed to get a discount for that. It was only a $10 discount but in the end, I didn’t get that discount even when I told the guy. When he put my credit card in, he forgot to put the discount and he said they would give it back to me later and then I never it got back so it was okay, I guess. They did what they were supposed to but they charged a lot of money. I didn’t have that much stuff but they did it in a timely manner, which was good. They say one thing but they don’t do it. They were also 3 hours late because they had another job so they didn’t come until it was completely dark, so that was also kind of difficult because that made it hard for them to get it all out. By the time they were supposed to be there, they didn’t call. I had to call the company and the guy called back an hour later and said they were busy with another job and they would be there maybe. They called again another hour or two later and said they didn't think they could come. I told them that they told me they would come and I needed the things removed so they came very late. They did what they were supposed to do but there were a lot of difficulties involved in it. I didn't have all that many things so I thought it was expensive. They said they would haul away everything and they should have specified what they couldn't remove. They didn't take everything. They didn't come when they were supposed to and they didn't call me so I had to call them. I would only use them if I really had to but otherwise I wouldn't use them.

The team did a fantastic job in a short period of time. I particularly appreciated the fact that they disconnected the old miniblinds and shades from the windows and hauled them away. For unknown reasons, the credit card I gave them could not be processed (turned out I gave them the wrong billing zip code.) I was thoroughly pleased that the team followed me to a local ATM so that I could withdraw and pay them in cash. I was so amazed that I gave them a generous tip.

Great experience. I would highly recommend this company to friends and relatives in the future. I feel they went above our expectations. Thank you!

It turned out excellent. They were fine. They were a brother and sister team. They were very friendly. They were efficient. They even swept up the garage before they left.

We used Hauling Away Junk Removal to take out a badly damage concrete slab. A job we knew was big. Not only were they prompt to meet with us and discuss pricing but the estimate I was given was accurate to the final cost and remarkably less than other quotes we received. They communicated well with us about our project and were able to finish in the time allotted. I would recommend them to friends and family, and I would use them again; should the need arise. Hope you have the same experience.

Both men were very efficient and nice. They even removed the closet doors to make way for the outgoing TV at no extra charge.

It went well. Patty and her sister arrived a few minutes early of my appointment window but told me to take my time and that they would wait in the lobby until I was ready for them. They are not big ladies, so I was a little worried about them carrying my washer down two flights of stairs, but they managed it just fine. Patty was able to disconnect the water hoses that I had been unable to budge. They did a great job and were very nice, quick, and professional. I recommend them and will call them in the future if I need any more junk removed.

I have used Hauling away three times now and have been overly satisfied each time. The first time I was contemplating having a large dumpster dropped off at the house and filling it myself with debris from a recent home remodel. After finding out that a permit was required for the dumpster I looked for another solution. I called Hauling away on a Sunday and spoke to Javier. Expecting it would be a few days before they could fit me in I was pleasantly surprised when he offered to swing by later that day. A few hours later he showed up. We negotiated a price that was fair to both of us and with a coworker Javier hustled through a project that would have taken me the rest of the day. I am very happy that I made that initial phone call. Since the initial job two months ago I have called Hauling Away twice more including this morning. Each time I continued to be impressed with their attitude, profesionalism and speed.

This service was purchased through angie's list deals. They were prompt and very courteous. They came even though I was out of their service area. Great job!

I'M SORRY, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER THE OTHERS I CONTACTED FIRST EXCEPT "GO JUNK FREE AMERICAN" THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DO WHAT I REQUESTED. I DID NOT BELIEVE THEM DUE TO THEIR ADVERTISEMENT. SO I CALLED MR. JAVIER AT "HAULING AWAY:JUNK REMOVAL SERVICE AND GOT A POSITIVE RESPONSE.

I chose Hauling Away because they were on a list of approved haulers provided by the City of Los Angeles and had pretty good reviews on Angie's List. I had to use a vendor on that L.A. list to pass inspection on a remodel. They were very pleasant when I called and made a quick appointment. They arrived on time and hauled one truck load of debris. I still need more debris removed, but due to costs, cannot schedule a pick up at this time. The only complaint I have is that when they started loading the truck, they left a lot of gaps so that the truck wasn't really full. Luckly my contractor was there and rectified the situation by telling them to put the long pieces of wood down first then the rest so the debris would lie flat and truly fill the truck. I think if he hadn't been there, I would have been charged full price for a truck that was not full. I would expect that the loaders would know how to fill the truck efficiently. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to be the case. I would however, use them again, because their price was competitive and I now know I just have to keep an eye out to make the truck is loaded properly. They were punctual, courteous and were knowledgeable about the requirements of the City of L.A. They are approved by the City of Los Angeles which, if you live in L.A., is a must.

It turns out my parents had more stuff that needed to be removed in their backyard. Because of my good experience last time, I called Javier right away this morning, and he was able to swing by in the afternoon, with the same 3 men crew. It took them I guess about 3 hours to move about 1/2 truck load of pretty much deadweight. I am talking about cinder blocks, red brick tiles, and yes... even roofing tiles. And then there are assorted other yard junks. It was pretty much a Herculean feat! I can not praise them enough. I highly recommend them to anyone needing any junk hauling service.

They wanted to make sure that I was taken care of. I will use them in the future if I have a big project.

My parents are planning to move soon. So I helped to them clean up a bit, and throw away stuff they won't need in their new (and smaller) place. Called this company come to pick up all the junk collected over the last 20 years. 3 guys came out, right on time. And 1 of them was super strong! They managed to load everything we wanted to get rid into their (huge) truck. We pretty much just stood on the side and point out the stuff we want gone. Overall, it was a very good experience. They charged us $450 and gave us a $50 senior discount. So the final price was $400. I have looked around, I believe this price is very competitive. I will recommend their service to everyone.

Javier came to our warehouse in downtown LA at my request for same day service. I called and he was here in a couple hours! He removed some unwanted displays and construction debris quickly. He worked on the price with me as I only filled the truck half way. I HIGHLY recommend his services and will be using him forever more!

I called the day before I needed the service to be done and Hector was able to accommodate me even though they already had a job scheduled. I needed the work done immediately due to an escrow deadline. Hector and his team were punctual, worked quickly, and finished the job to my liking. Hector is friendly and professional. Great service!
