From the first phone call Craig and his team were helpful and professional. Alex and Jesus came out to give me an estimate within an hour of my call. They were prompt, polite, knowledgable and they figured out how to run the new line with minimal disruption to our backyard and 80 year old house. They started work immediately so that we would have hot water! They worked efficiently and quietly and they were always beyond respectful and polite. They were easy to have working around and under the house and they worked cleanly and neatly. The price was very fair for the scope of the work done and they pulled the permit and handled the inspection. Alex and Jesus were excellent and I would definitely hire them again!

They installed a new water heater, and explained that a new pump might be needed in the future. The guys were informative about all aspects of the job.

Grey water over-flowing from washer. Called Craig who was able to dispatch help within 3-4 hours. Problem diagnosed after trouble shooting. Drains snaked and unclogged. Reasonable realistic cost. Third time using Craig in last 3 months. Good experience each time. Honest, straight-shooter.

Last hire was 3rd. Each time went dependably well. Same quote each time for new toilet I ordered from [*** Link removed ***] Can order by chat or voice. Make sure you get measurement correct from back to bolt. Can be 10” or 12”. Include soft close seat. Save $ when ordered and delivered similar to Amazon. Though delivery is curbside, as to borrow palate dolly to move to garage. Total cost for 1 gallon/flush saving toilet and installation was $750.

ANGIES LIST REVIEW - CRAIG’S PLUMBING A09/29/2018 Because Craig was on the list of approved/recommended past providers of Pelican Water Systems, I called him mid-afternoon to discuss my problem after just moving into the home. He was polite and inquired about the nature and duration of the leak. After determining that it was a minor leak and might involve additional service needs, he apologized for not being able to come on a “same day basis” due to other urgent client demands, but offered to come personally the next day between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. Meanwhile, the next morning, my wife and I decided that the Pelican customer service response on its national web site was unsatisfactory and because it did not have its own, dedicated Pelican installers/service professionals (despite being among largest national vendors), we did not want to retain that system. I was unable to call Mr. Macintosh until after 10:30 am to inform him that his services were no longer needed. Realizing that he’d incurred an “opportunity cost” to his busy firm for not being able to schedule someone else for my time slot, I asked how much I might pay him for his trouble. Not delaying a nanosecond, he told me not to worry about it. I insisted on paying something if he’d give me the current company address. Again, he said that wasn’t necessary. He politely mentioned he hoped we got settled in soon w/o too much difficulty after our cross-country move from Virginia on the East Coast. I mentioned that I’d certainly ring him up in the future should we have any plumbing needs (likely since our home was built in 1939, even if upgraded by adding a small expansion in 2010.) He thanked me, but said I might find other qualified plumbers closer to my neighborhood that would cut any travel time/expenses. This is a Master Plumber who runs his small family-owned business of three decades plus with the same professionalism, integrity, and humility that my father did in more than 50 years in the construction industry. Consistent with other reviews—even if services were not performed or purchased—this gentleman’s kindness and positive customer management stands Heads n Shoulders above what finds almost everywhere in today’s Trades world. There is no doubt in my mind my wife and I, as well as our neighbors and area family members and friends with plumbing needs will call Craig’s first time, every time. This brand of trust, reliability, and personal consideration—beyond his Superior Service track record—is rare indeed. After getting quotes from a couple different companies, I got in touch with Craig and knew I had found the best plumber. Craig is responsive and he is a straight shooter. He is talented and knowledgeable. I immediately felt at ease knowing I was in good hands. Other plumbers seemed to constantly suggest other expensive fixes for my issue but Craig cut right to the chase and did what was needed to be done without overcharging me for what was necessary. I plan to only use Craig in the future for all of my plumbing needs. Thanks Craig!

Craig personally called me to let me know his worker was willing to work a longer day to respond to our leak issue. Worker arrived on time, cut through the ceiling wallboard and properly diagnosed the problem as a pinhole leak in a pipe above the ceiling. He performed the repair, cleaned up and hauled away any mess, and charged what we felt was a very reasonable fee. We could not have been happier with the responsiveness, workmanship, and value we received. If we have another plumbing issue, we will definitely use Craig's Plumbing.

June 2018. We're a happy repeat customer and "Alex" has been the plumber servicing our home. In the past and for these repairs, he has been very courteous, carefully explains the work that he will be doing, and leaves the work areas as clean (or cleaner) than when he started. (1) The water hammer turned out to be a failing fill valve in the toilet for the master bath and relatively easy to fix. After replacing and testing the new fill valve repeatedly, it was clear the water hammer had ended and we've had no repeat since then. (2) For the garbage disposal, Alex showed us the significant amount of corrosion inside and outside of the disposal, especially around the support collar, noting that it would likely fail sooner rather than later. We agreed. He replaced the disposal and it works just fine. (3) For the earthquake gas shutoff valve, Alex inspected the area at our gas shutoff at the rear of to our house and also around the gas meter in the alley behind the house. He said the gas meter area was too exposed to vibration from any vehicles that used the alley, or jostling by anyone working or passing through the alley, and was too likely to be triggered inadvertently, while the area by the existing gas shutoff at the rear of our house was well protected. We reviewed his estimate (see below) and agreed with the price. Alex came back three days later with the proper parts and installed the new earthquake valve. (4) Estimates: For the water hammer and garbage disposal he estimated 2 hours labor (at $180 per hour), plus parts (toilet fill valve and new garbage disposal); the actual total came to about $550 including tax. For the earthquake gas shutoff valve, he estimated 5 hours labor plus parts and quoted $900 to $1000 total. The actual time was a bit less than 5 hours, but the materials were higher; with tax, the total exceeded $1000, but he capped his bill at the $1000 estimate.

Alex,the plumber was professional and on time he did a great job. Another company tried to scam me by inflating the price . Craig’s price was the most fair. I will use them again

I suspected I had a gas leak at my home. I called Craig and he explain the entire process on how to proceed. At that point I felt very comfortable with him coming out and having a look. After he looked around and talking with him I decided to hire him. Craig's plumbing found two gas leaks in the main line and four gas leaks in the house's crawlspace. I thought it to be a difficult task locating all the leaks, but they new what to look for and how to detect them. Since I have children in the house, I especially liked that they explained and showed me why all the leaks occurred. After all the work was completed they did there test again and verified that all the leaks had been detected and repaired. I would hire them again.

The work went extremely well. Craig was great to work with and Alex and his crew are very professional and easy to get along with. The work was done over 3 or 4 months as each job was ordered separately. We felt good after the first job was completed so we moved to the second and then to the far more complex third. Each job was done in an agreed time frame. I had learned to trust Craig and Alex to the degree that I gave them a key while we were gone a few days.

Craig provided a second opinion on an estimate, that was going to cost 3K+, he in turn, quoted us at 2K, and upon his inspection, advised that we didn't need to what was originally quoted, and quoted us at under 1K. He was very honest, and accommodating for my grandmother. I would highly recommend! Thank you Craig!!

Craig advised it would be less expensive if I ordered toilet which I did from builder.com.. He supplied labor and as promised, they removed existing toilet, installed new one and removed existing toilet to dump site all for a reasonable lump sum. We made arrangements via email. Craig was very prompt in responding and his plumbers arrived promptly and did a very nice, professional job. I'll definitely use Craig again.

A few months ago, I used Ford plumbing company to replace a pipe after a big sewer back up. I had several conflicts with them regarding their fees and their charging my credit card without my approval. They also tried to scare me into believing I needed more work done, which they wanted to charge me a lot for. So when that same toilet started acting up, I decided to call Craigs Plumbing instead. These guys were great. They came early, were very friendly and caring, and spent 2 hours carefully examining all of my concerns to make sure I wouldn't have another sewage overflow. Instead of trying to come up with ways to charge me money, they came up with ways to avoid charging me money. They turned up the temperature on my water heater rather than try to sell me a new one. And they cleared my bathroom drain quickly and efficiently. They reassured me that I didn't need the work that the former plumber told me I needed. Now I can sleep better knowing everything is resolved. These will be my new go to guys.

Called office early in week and was able to make appointment for the same week; the office staff was very friendly and helpful in setting up an appointment and asking relevant questions about the scope of work. A plumber and an apprentice arrived on time as scheduled. Both were very polite and professional about setting up the work area in order to protect our hardwood kitchen floor. After inspecting the sink and dishwasher to confirm the work to be done, they were able to provide an cost estimate that we agreed on (we had already purchased replacement hardware for the sink). It turned out that they did not a have a specific part for the dishwasher air gap, but they were able to quickly confirm that the local Home Depot had the part. While the plumber worked on the sink, the apprentice went to buy the part. They repeatedly tested the dishwasher to ensure that the air gap worked properly, and tested the new faucet for leaks. They were diligent about cleaning and vacuuming the work area, leaving it in great shape.

Great. Worker showed up within an hour of expected time. Replaced the water heater with a high end commercial grade heater at a reasonable price.

Completely incompetent worker was sent. I agreed to pay $180 per hour thinking these guys had great reviews and would be in and out in less than two hours. He walked in my house with NO tools. He had no common plumbing parts. Job should have cost less than $400 ended up with a bill for $850.00 And he left without installing one of the faucets because he didn't realize until AFTER taking apart my faucet and installing the new one that a part was missing from the box. A real pro would have realized this BEFORE starting.

got the shower turned on and learned that it's connected to the irrigation system so I couldn't disconnect that system, and learned that it would cost way more than I wanted to spend to replace hose bib because of all the ancillary work that had to be done. Existing hose bib tightened so it wouldn't continue to leak. These guys are good.

Disappointed. Felt ripped off. The work seemed competent enough, but price was high given the professionalism, or lack thereof. The two plumbers who did the work were not very communicative. After swapping out the faucets, they never asked what we wanted done with existing materials or boxes. We actually had to tell them not to throw things away while they were in the middle of trying to do so (!) After the job, upon questioning what was warrantied, the main plumber immediately started defensively going over what they did *not* warranty (including parts we supplied, which I already understood). When I repeated that I only cared about what they *actually* warranty, he mentioned the labor - meaning that they guarantee that all of the faucets currently work and do not leak at the time they were finished. Neither he nor his apprentice ever walked us through their work to demonstrate that all the faucets they swapped out worked satisfactorily and did not leak! However, all of these are minor issues next to price. The rate I had been quoted on the phone was an hourly rate for two plumbers at $180, which I was told would be a simple job given we were providing the faucets and that they were simply swapping them out. I blame myself for not double-checking up front about getting the posted Angie's list discount of 10%. Only after the job was done was I told by the plumber that the discount was already applied. Interesting, as I had never mentioned Angie's list when I called, and neither the company nor the plumbers ever once asked me where I had found them. While they assured me that the 10% had already been applied upon the initial quote, I personally do not believe this was a truthful response. Finally, the job took the plumbers no more than 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete - but of course I was charged a full 4 hours. When I asked if they round up, the main plumber once again got defensive, saying "We don't get paid by the half hour!" I informed him that Mr. Handyman, which we had just used days before, actually *does* charge by the half hour - and they're a big national outfit. I freely admit this was my responsiblility to have checked before hand. That said, I have no way of knowing if the plumbers intentionally slowed down their work to squeeze another hour out of the job, but how does this policy not incentivize every one of their employees to be dishonest? Well, certainly none of the above incentivizes *me* to become a repeat customer, which you think would be the most important thing. Not recommended.

They came well within the time frame, within 2 hours of my call. Alex worked efficiently and got everything done in about 30-35 minutes. They cleaned up after themselves and offered me the old parts to dispose of, so I could see that they had changed them out. I've hired Craig before and would do so again. Earlier this year, I had to call another plumber because we had an emergency (clean out spouting poop!) when Craig was on vacation. I asked them to give me an estimate on my shower leak; they told me it was a water pressure issue and that it would cost over $800 and I would have to schedule several weeks in advance. Obviously, Craig's Plumbing did the job in less time and for less than 25% of the other plumber's estimate.

Craig was the only one to take the need seriously. He was super responsive, quoted me a fair price and didn't add on a bunch of extras. He even went down to the building department to pull the permit when the automatic system wasn't working. He installed a heater that I had bought and came back to meet the inspector -- who was 3 hours late. Can't say enough about how satisfied I was. Very big help!
