CRAIG'S PLUMBING

From beginning (Craig's immediate response after I bought the coupon) to end (cleanup after install), it couldn't have gone better. (Well,there was the small problem of my buying the wrong part for the install - Craig told me what to get, and I didn't quite get it right.) Noor and Jose, the installers, were right on time, eager to do the job right and be sure I was happy, and efficient about their work. This firm rocks, and I highly highly recommend that you call Criag's Plumbing for any plumbing needs.

This company doesn't service my area only for this deal. Normally they would service it. So I was unable to use it.

Simple leaky faucet. Plumber showed up on time, I showed him the faucet upstairs and went about my business downstairs. A few minutes later I heard a loud noise like someone dropping a heavy metal object on my tile upstairs in the bathroom. I rolled my eyes and continued about my business. Then I heard water running?hard. I thought the plumber was testing the faucet. It continued for 90-120 seconds I would guess. Then I heard water in my dining room downstairs. Huh? I looked, and to my horror saw water streaming out of my dining room chandelier, onto the table and the rug. I ran upstairs and shouted for the plumber to shut off the water. I could see water shooting straight, horizontally across my bathtub at a very high rate. I ran downstairs and got a bucket while he ran outside and turned off the water. About 10 minutes later, the last of the water stopped dripping down my light fixture. The plumber said that he removed something and the valve shot out of the fixture when it shouldn't have, causing the gushing water. He said that the valve was probably installed incorrectly. It's an 8 year old house and the faucet has been used many times but, okay I'm not a plumber, lets say that happened. When the water came gushing out that fast, WHAT THE HECK WAS THIS GUY DOING FOR THE 90-120 SECONDS THAT IT WAS FLYING OUT OF THE WALL??? He could have easily ran downstairs, shut off the main, and severely minimized the damage. When I saw him he wasn't doing anything. The water was mostly contained to the bathtub but because of the volume, a lot of it had run down inside wall where the valve is located, causing the flood. I called several water damage repair places and most recommend tearing up the ceiling and drying the ceiling out. Easy for them to say?they make money doing it while I live with the nightmare. One place, as well as Craig from Craigs plumbing said that it would not be a problem, that it would dry on it's own. I just couldn't see myself going through that, so I cut two smaller holes in my ceiling and for 2 days I ran 2 heat guns through the ceiling?and prayed. I still pray there is no mold. What a mess. Oh?when the plumber left, he did apologize. Then he handed me a bill for the repair. Really? Insult to injury. They should have ate that one.

Craig is very easy to get a hold of by phone. It sometimes took days to get a hold of the plumber I had previously used. It is nice to know that Craig is readily available.The plumber that came to the house was Noor. He was very pleasant, efficient and most important honest. I was surprised to see Noor putting covers on his shoes,so as not to dirty my carpeting. Never had another plumber that considerate.

Craig quickly scheduled a free inspection and quickly followed up with a quote. He was easy to get a hold of and ask any questions either by email or phone. When we decided to go ahead with the work he was able to schedule us in right away. He kept us informed when a member of his crew was running late due to a car accident. Even with the delay, the team showed up timely, were polite and finished the job quickly. We are happy to have the work done and can breathe a little easier now knowing we won't have a major leak all of the sudden. We would use him again.

Craig's Plumbing responded within 1 hr of purchasing deal; was able to schedule a service the following day. Service was performed.

Craig's Plumbing would not honor Angies Big Deal deal. Craig said in an email that he had asked Angie's List to remove his Big Deal offer and they hadn't. He said the deal was no longer valid and would not be honored.

The service went okay. The staff was very nice and prompt. They were very helpful, but they were unable to repair some 20 year old faucets with a lifetime guarantee with a company that went out of business. They spent a lot of time on the service and did end up unclogging the shower. They were very accommodating and I am sure they are good everyday plumber.

Payed $99.00 for $200. A service special. I was told job could cost between $500.-$600. and they charge by the hour $125.00. When job was done , I was Charge $200. an hour ? plus 58.60 for parts. When question the price of $200 per hr. , they adjusted the price to $125. per hr., but then added $30. to the parts 88.60. I question the $30. they then adjusted that too. And they were not please with me for refusing to pay more than I was quoted for. They said I was quoted a cost about $500-$600 so I should have payed that even if they finish in less time than they thought. They however was good and I am happy with that , just not their customer service when it came to writing up the bill.

I used the $99 special offered through Angie's List. Two plumbers showed up on time, removed the old faucet and then installed the faucet, which I supplied, quickly and neatly. During the installation they discovered that the old shutoff valves to the sink were in bad shape and also didn't match the fittings on the new faucet, so the drove over to Home Depot to buy some new ones, which they charged me at their cost. When installing the new valves, they discovered that one of the two was the wrong size (somebody apparently had opened the box and put the wrong valve in it) so they returned to Home Depot and exchanged it. They did this all for the $99 installation price, plus the cost of the new valves. They left the site in clean condition. Very professional, pleasant duo. I will use them again, even if I do not get the same $99 deal.

Craig is great! He was super communicative and handled things when I was traveling, which really helped me out in pinch. His prices were reasonable and he is very fast. A++

I basically wouldn't use this plumber because he was not thorough enough to locate the leak in the pipe underneath the house. When the line was not leaking at the toilet inside the house, he crawled underneath to see if he could find a leak. He said it was moist under the house, but he could not find an actual leak. This is after we ran all the faucets, the showers, the toilets. He said that if I noticed any smell or flying insects indicative of a leak later on, to call and they could check it out again. Subsequently, I had another plumber come out and he located the the source of the leak -- the cap on a clean out pipe was gone. You had to crawl a long way around some other piping to find it.

Excellent responsiveness, from Craig's first message and subsequent phone calls to set up the appointment on short notice, to the way in which Ramon handled the job itself. This is one class act!

Craig answered the phone himself and was able to schedule a time right away. He told us what we needed to do if we wanted to save money and do the work ourselves. We chose to let him do it. Everything works fine and the price was reasonable.

very good and punctual communication via e-mail. Craig asked for info on what type of ballcock to be replaced. I sent photos. his service man showed up on time and was very pleasant and efficient. We used Craig before and we will use him again.

Very poor communicator. Could not come up with a day he could promise to perform services. Told us he had been working on a project for his main customer and they were more important than Angie's List. And, he said the offer we had purchased through Angie's List had expired and Angie's List should not have had it still posted. Very disappointed!

Craig and I spoke on the phone so I could adequately explain the problems. He showed up on time, did the work quickly and completely -- he even gave me a tip about my unused bathtub (run the water once a week to keep the sewer gasses (and spiders) from building up). I am thoroughly satisfied with the service, the price and Craig's attitude/professionalism. Craig has restored my faith in plumbers! Since we bought our (1941) house 16 years ago, we have had several minor plumbing problems and needed a new toilet and water heater. For each job we've had to hire someone else, since we were overcharged or treated badly by plumber after plumber. We have had a persistent drip in our shower for 6 months, but we've chosen to collect the water rather than try another plumber. Then, I found Craig through Angie's List -- now I have a solution for my plumbing problems. Hooray!

He canceled the deal before I could use the coupon. It stated on the website it was open until July, however he said he would not honor it and I had to get a refund.

Craig is down to earth and an honest guy. He was initially called out to give us a quote on fixing our washing machine drain, but while under the house, he noticed that our tub drain was also leaking! We had just had another plumber come out and unplug our tub drain and that plumber had problems getting the clog out so we suspected something may be wrong. The quote he gave us for both jobs, while not the cheapest, was totally fair -- and not even the most expensive. But the best part about it is that he really is honest!! He's also not pushy and he was always up front with what needed to be done. We are extremely satisfied with the job he and Alex (?) did. They worked quickly and neatly! We are so happy we can finally use our washing machine again!! He is our new designated plumber! We are recommending him to all our friends who are looking for a good, honest plumber!

I had 2 toilets that were leaking and had a sprinkler pipe issue. They were very good and professional.

Service was done fast and he cleaned the mess around it. I would definitely use them again.

The service went well, and we were satisfied. I wasn't home my wife was, and she asked them to change a filter faucet in the kitchen sink, and he struggled with that, because it in a tight place. He took an hour and half with that, and then she asked him to do something else, and he said that it would take him more than half hour to do that. He didn't want to have to charge us beyond that. According to my wife, he was courteous, and helpful. He did a good job. The price was good for what we got. He was swamped with calls after he put up the big deal.

The job was done perfectly. The city inspector came out numerous times and after the first time had no change requirements. In fact he applauded Craig for a job well done. Craig and his team handled the residents with honesty and respect and there were no complaints. In fact residents came to monthlyBoard meetings to praise Craig and his team's work - I have lived in this building for twenty eight years and this has never happened before. The job was completed perfectly with NO mess to the garages. When the team left every afternoon the garage floors were immaculate. Craig runs a great business with outstanding knowledgeable team members who are a pleasure to have on your premises. Graig, being a master plubmer himself, was on the premises daily, sometimes two to three times a day to supervise the work. He was available 24/7 to the residents in case of a leak after hours - no leaks ever happened. Craig is a totally honest businessman. We knew the horizontal pipes needed replacement since they were obviously leaking. Some one decided that the vertical, cast iron pipes must also need replacing since the building is 30 years old. Numerous companies came out and were more than happy to do the job that would have cost us over 1M dollars. However, no one was able to tell us if the vertical pipes needed replacement except for Craig. He could have taken the job and made money but was more concerned about doing the right and honest thing by us. The pipes did not need repolacement and his research and work saved us over 1M dollars. If you want an honest, knowledgeable, charismatic master plumber look no further - you have found him! I would be more than pleased to talk to anyone wanting more information. .

I was very impressed with his efforts to make sure I got the message. We were able to get it set up for the very next day and his plumber, Orlando, showed up right on time (even a few minutes early). He was very professional and did the install in about 1 1/2 hours. I had mentioned a problem with water coming out of the dishwasher air flow spout so he checked that out and found a clog in the line and fixed that as well. I was very pleased with the service and would definitely call them again for any future plumbing needs.

Despite some difficulty in finalizing an appointment (Craig was on his way out of town), the job was scheduled and completed with no problems. I found Orlando's work to be good. He was punctual, informative, friendly and got the job done in the estimated time. I would use Craig's plumbing again, with no hesitation.
