Barry missed the first appointment, apparently a mixup with his calendar, but apologized when I contacted him and arrived early at the second appointment with a young helper, who also did a good job and was very pleasant. Barry was very professional and friendly and did the necessary replumbing of the copper pipes to install the new hotwater heater. The dishwasher installation required a few changes in the cabinets (the old dishwasher had been installed before the cabinet and marble countertop had been built around it) but Barry managed that very effectively, including returning the next day with precut wood to glue to the marble so he could attach the dishwasher. I enjoyed meeting both Barry and young Maurice and will definitely use them in the future or recommend Barry Davis to friends.

Awful waited 2 months no response to calls.

Barry has handled a number of small things for me. Each job was performed well and in a timely manner. Price was good, too. Having Barry's number is invaluable as he is responsive, efficient and very professional.

Despite lackluster AL reviews, we called Barry after noticing that our gas stove aluminum tubing was leaking gas and in dire need of repair. It was late on Friday, but he agreed to come out to our house to help us determine what the problem was. In short order, he determined what needed to be repaired and helped us get the necessary parts from a local appliance parts store. When the parts arrived on Monday, he came out to install the new tubing. He was running late that day--as he had another job--but it was during the Christmas holidays didn't really matter since we were already at home. Overall, Barry was personable and easy to work with. He had a quirky but affable personality. We were extremely grateful that he could help us on such short notice and was quick to get the job done.

I reached out to him and never heard anything back. I figured it make take a little longer because of the holidays but I still never heard from him and I have decided to try to find a different service provider.

Barry was very friendly and professional. He got the pipe repair done quickly and easily, and it looks like he did a great job. He wasn't able to repair the shower head, although he put in a washer to assist while I ordered a new one. I think I was charged for that work, which was a little disappointing, although I feel that the price was fair overall. He wasn't able to install the disposal, since no electricity was present for the install. Once I have electricity put in, I will be happy to have Barry install it. He quoted me about $100 to install a recessed medicine cabinet, and if I decide to keep the cabinet, I will hire him to put it in. He was quick, competent, and professional. I will definitely call him again. I called him midday on Monday for a quote, and he arrived early Tuesday to give the quote... and then just did the work. Great service!

It went horribly, as he damaged the faucet to the point where we replaced it, he wouldn't go under the house to inspect the plumbing or fix a dripping g pipe in the attic.

He did quality work. I haven't had any problems with the work that he did. His prices were fair.

I purchased two Big Deals, but he couldn’t come out for the second. He wasn’t available when the tenant needed him to come. I asked if he could combine the two Big Deals because I didn’t use the second Big Deal, but he declined.

BARRY WAS OUT OF TOWN WHEN I CALLED HIM, HE SAID HE'D GET BACK WITH ME BUT NEVER DID.

He came out to my home, fixed my cold water valve, which was part of the problem, and installed a new faucet. The one he installed at first was plastic, and he told me I would need a metal one in order to totally fix that problem. The plastic faucet shakes and seems loose, which I called to ask him about. He offered to allow me to return the plastic faucet and help go with me to pick out a metal faucet to install instead. I have called him several times since then and he has never returned my calls. I feel that I haven’t gotten the full service since I haven’t gotten my problem totally resolved and since I was promised follow-up that I haven’t received.

This is beyond the worst experience with a plumber that I've ever dealt. Naive to this line of work, I believed everything he said. When he first arrived, he claims that the meter outside the house jumped after the water was turned off. This sounds logical if you believe he knows what he's doing or he's trustworthy. He tells me he needed to dig about 10 feet into our slab. What a mess. He came to this conclusion without any real investigation. Along with "the meter jumping" and seeing the pool of water along w/ a pool of water in the front pipe, and concluded the pipes below the slab is leaking. I regret my ignorance, and accepted his service. He dug a hole and found nothing dripping. And so, he called me and said he's going to refill the hole. Who in their right mind does this? I called to find out where the leak is. And he told me he's done this so many times that he's 100% sure the leak is in the concrete slab....and i mean he didn't even use any tools to detect the leak. And this is a lesson that I will never forget. Don't ever trust any plumber if they don't use any tool to detect the leak. I now wonder if he's really licensed. Ask him for one. So after a week of dealing with him, I wanted him to show me this "jump" that he saw in the meter. I saw none, so he said maybe when he dug that huge hole, it sealed the leak. Seriously?????? I sensed something was amiss. while he was working on the slab that I will come see the work, he would say he has to head out for this and that. I realized my mistakes by trusting his qualifications. I paid for it along with a hole that was left after the job. I hope that whoever reads this will question him thoroughly before accepting his service. Don't just naively take his high rating on angie's list. I did and regret ever trust using angie's rating's again.

Called with emergency issue on a holiday. He set a time and responded that day. He provided 2 alternatives (we already thought a new water heater was needed) and tried to provide the least expensive alternative. Supplies were limited due to the holiday but he returned the next morning and completed the install as well as provided additional service on things we requested. He was on time, provided alternative cost solutions, priced fairly for the work, and provided all receipts for parts/products installed which he acquired for warranty purposes.

I called Barry in the morning and he came by the same afternoon at the agreed upon time to see what needed to be done and to give me an estimate. We agreed on a price and a date for him to come by and do the work, which was on a Sunday. At the agreed time on Sunday, Barry and his helper arrived and went to work. They quickly installed the garbage disposer in the sink, re-worked the plumbing for the dishwasher and added a line and installed my ice maker. He then went to work on the shower head and noticed a faucet problem that was going to cause a leak. He fixed the leaky faucets at no additional charge. Barry was professional, courteous and did a great job very quickly - faster than I ever could have done it myself. He arrived with the right tools and the right parts and there was no delay. He even called back later just to see if I was satisfied.

We are very happy with the work and we definitely recommend Barry. During our initial call, he took time to explain what we needed to purchase in advance which was very helpful. He arrived on time and is nice to work with. He made sure that everything worked properly before he left which is reassuring since we are not handy. He also noticed a few other plumbing problems (slow draining tubs, toilet hard to flush) and he made a few adjustments and fixed these problems quickly. I thought that these were symptoms of bigger pipe issues that we were not prepared to address yet so I didn't mention these. It turns out that these were fast and easy so he just went ahead and did the work which was a really nice surprise. I was worried that the final cost would be higher than the quoted price but it was actually slightly less (even before the Angie's List coupon) so we were very happy about that also. We will definitely call again for any future issues.

He was on time and did a great job. The first contractor I've like thus far.

Barry was great, and I would use him again. I called him on a Monday, he came on time on Tuesday and repaired our toilet within a half hour. Granted, this was an easy job, but he was extremely courteous and made sure to explain to me why we were having a problem and why he needed to take the action he did to fix it. The pricing seemed fair, and I recommend Barry to anyone else in need of a plumber.

Called and set appointment time. He arrived promptly. Diagnosed and fixed the leak within minutes.

He is very easy to work with and very professional. He shows up on time, calls me with an estimate and usually repairs what he can right then and there.

I looked up reviews of local plumbers, narrowed it down to Davis Plumbing after calling three other listed plumbers. Davis Plumbing estimate was the cheapest and he did a good job.

Nice guy, informative, quick, upbeat and fairly priced. Swept the installation area before and after, and helped carry the old washer unit to the curb. This was the second time we used Barry and will call him again for future needs.

Easy to reach, responsive, reasonably priced, and corrected the problem.

Mr. Davis and an intern arrived on time and spent 1-1/2 hours doing the repairs. They were professional and neat and advised what they were fixing.

I purchased a coupon for repair on Tuesday and reached Mr Davis by phone on the first try. He came out on Wednesday and completed the job. Mr Davis is very nice and very helpful!
