Their inspector was very professional - donning paper shoes when indoor (as did all the workers), coming promptly and communicating clearly - and friendly. We arrived at a price that I felt was fair, and they did the job in a couple of days, When an issue arose - in the course of installing the second return, they inadvertently clipped a wire that serves a light in a work-space - they assumed responsibility for fixing the issue, hiring an electrician to come in and resolve the problem at no additional expense to me. Brody-Pennell are excellent technicians and good business people. More importantly, in my experience they have tremendous integrity and dedication to their work. I would hire them again in a minute, and would recommend them without reservation. They're the best.

The company sent out someone for an estimate and he arrived early...called me to say that he was there and I told him I was on my way, he waited for me and was very good during the estimate process. Had good advice regarding my pick of new system. I just thought that it was strange that I never received and estimate from him...this was before Christmas, so maybe I got lost in the shuffle...don't know what happened. I ended up going with another heating and Air company and will do a report on him (when the work is done) but I figure if I'm spending that kind of money, I want someone that is on top of it from the beginning.

I didn't wind up using this company only because I had also called another firm that was closer to home and had arranged with them to do the job. I was very impressed with the professionalism of BRODY-PENNEL.

They were great. Before we went on Angie's List, we went through so many lame companies who lied about our heater and just wanted their $50. It's a nightmare situation out here in L.A. when it comes to heating and air conditioning. The one place we liked had closed down. I found Brody-Pennell on Angie's List and out of all of the companies I spoke to they seemed the most real. They were very responsive. They were busy but they came out within a couple days. They were very honest, and they applied that first visit's cost to purchasing a new heating and air conditioning system. They had a great list of references. They're bonded, licensed and insured. They got us a great deal: same as cash for a year with no interest. They were on time. They got done in half the amount of time they said they would; it was a three and a half hour job. They were polite. I just can't tell you how great they are. I would recommend them to everyone.

I didn't do any comparative bidding. This company was excellent. They are very professional and communicative in their field. The quality of work was excellent.

See above-technician tried to fix the blower-but the blower cover plate was/is covered by the wall-terrible building plan-condo is approximately 25 years old-would have to knock down the wall to get to the blower cover plate.

Lousy service from two guys who seemed to know nothing about what they were doing. Only wanted to sell us a new unit. Our old one is working just fine.

The price was reasonable. They were completely professional. I would definitely use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

The visit was great. They were 30 minutes late due to traffic, but called to let me know in advance. No big deal. First the technician, Juan Angulano put on coverings for his shoes before coming in our house. Nice touch. He removed the freshly painted attic access cover and slid it over without scraping it at all. He performed the service and at my request made a guess at how old our furnace might be (late 70's, early 80's). He checked the "history" on our battery operated carbon monoxide detector and recommended a plug in type too. I felt Juan really knew his stuff. He was well-spoken, smart, professional and immaculately clean. Juan recommended a follow up check up in March since by then the furnace will have been running regularly for about 4 months to see how it's holding up. I also asked about adding another vent in our kitchen. Juan astutely recommended I call for an appointment with an estimator instead of him guesstimating wrongly. The whole visit took about an hour. It would have been less, but Juan took the time to explain things to me so I could understand what was going on.

My A/C stopped cooling. The technician found a slight leak in one of the valves of the unit and replaced the cap on the valve with a better quality cap. At that time, freon was added to the system, however, the technician did not have enough freon to completely fill the unit. A subsequent service call was made to a) check to see if any freon had leaked from the first visit and b) if no more leak, add the rest of the freon to the system. The technician also checked the airflow coming out of the vents as well as the intake. The system is now cooling the house.

A technician came out and found the primary problem, which was the fan motor. After examining the system and it's age, he recommended replacing the heater and coil instead of just replacing the fan motor. I considered the age and performance of my unit, and agreed to replace. The sales representative came out the next day, and asked me what things were important to me in terms of quality, features and performance, and recommended a replacement unit. Then, a foreman came out to scope out the work in detail. The following week, two technicians arrived and did the work. They were very professional, timely, and got everything working in about 5 hours. One of them taught me how to use the new thermostat, and fully tested the new unit. It works great and delivers much better performance than the 33 year old unit and is more energy efficient.

I felt this is a company I would use, as they seem to stand behind their work.

I called to book an appointment and the lady on the phone was super helpful and responsive. They were able to come a day later and I was given a 3 hour window (always kind of a bummer). The technician arrived 20 minutes after the third hour (kind of a bummer but no big deal). He quickly assessed the problem and, after double checking with me that it was okay for him to proceed, hosed down the coils and fans and added Freon to the unit, he just left. Hopefully, everything ends up working again. I'd definitely call this company in the future.

Very well. The consultant who came to our home, Mr. Petrossian, was very knowledgeable, and he was easy to reach by phone when I had questions throughout and after the job. The two-man crew was professional, answered my questions, and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this company.

Their prices are out of line with other estimates. In view of my long term relationship with this company (they have service three of my properties over a 20 year period) I submitted to them my other estimate in the hope that we could negotiate a more reasonable price. Not only was the person I talked with on the phone unwilling to negotiate, he was rude. So rude, in fact, that I have decided to move all of my business to the new company.

Called organization based on suggestion from Angie's List. Immediate response and knowledgeable staff. Promptly scheduling to assess problem. Courteous and informative technician. On time and un-assuming. No hidden costs or sales pitch. Very, very impressed and definitely recommendable.

Good there was a little confusion in getting some documentation and when we reached the proper person, we received a 25 page fax within hours.

The bid, however, was very high (nearly 2x in some cases) relative to several other bidders (but not the highest) quoting the same equipment. Price was my main factor in not selecting them for the work.

This was the first time I had used their services. They were extremely consciencious, prompt and did good work. They were also very neat and cleaned up well.

Fantastic. I called three Angie's List companies that all had an A rating, but Brody Pennel had the nicest and most knowledgeable phone representative, had the shortest wait time for an appointment (we got one in less than a week), AND gave the cheapest estimate. The service guy who came to the house was polite and thorough and honest. They did exactly what I hoped they'd do - I am completely satisfied.

This was a big job and I was extremely happy with the result. I was given an original quote, which was similar to other quotes I had received in the past. The person who came to do the quote (Souren Petrossian) was very knowledgeable and looked at a lot of the construction details of my house before describing the best system for me (other contractors did not spend nearly as much time or ask such detailed questions). Once the contract was signed and the job begun, the crew discovered that changes were required to make the new equipment fit the space, and they did not charge me any extra for this work, and it was not a small change. They had to lift the entire furnace up into the ceiling of my garage. Edwin was the lead person on my crew, and he was very clean and careful in my house. He had at least 1 person working with him each day, and at the end of each day he completely cleaned my garage and put all his equipment outside and out of sight for the next day's work, even when I told him he could leave it all in the garage. John Felix was the installation foreman on my job, and he came to the house each day to check progress and answer any questions. Everyone was extremely professional and answered all my questions and explained all details and functions of the system. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and intend to use them for any needs I have in the future.
