Description of Work: They said I needed to replace the capacitor on my air conditioning unit and that it would cost $248. As I feel like repairmen take advantage of women, I went inside to look up the cost of a new capacitor and found within 2 minutes that it costs less than $10. I immediately went outside to stop him from doing the work and he said he had already completed the job. |Now I understand margins and the need for profits; however, charging $248 for a 2 minute job to replace a $7 part is downright gouging the consumer. |The repairman said that was the price and he couldn't do anything about it. He seemed to know it was unreasonable and told me to call the home office, which I did. The folks in the office told me that was their price and they were not going to change it. I will never use Brody Pennell again!

Description of Work: They are charging me $95 to diagnose a heating problem, told me the same thing as the Gas Company person the day before, at no charge. The $95 will be applied to the repair bill, but if no repair is done would still be $95. The repair person told me they give free estimates only for installation of heating/ac units. I told him this is not what the website says. Their info is very misleading and $95 is very expensive for a diagnosis esp. when the Gas Company gave me a free diagnosis.

Description of Work: They did not do the kind of work that I required, so they referred me to another company who sent out some loser who couldn't or wouldn't do the work, and they had the nerve to try to charge for a service call for doing nothing!

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE TOP PROFESSIONALS. I CHECKED INTO A LOT OF PLACES. THEY'RE NOT CHEAP, BUT THEY DID THE JOB PERFECTLY. THEY SHOWED UP AT EIGHT O'CLOCK EVERY MORNING. THEY LAID DOWN PAPER. THEY CLEANED UP BEHIND THEMSELVES. TWO PEOPLE PERFORMED THE JOB.

AFTER THE FIRE DEPARTMENT LEFT, I CALLED THEM AND THEY CAME. THEY USED TO BE JUST BRODY, AND THEY WERE BOUGHT OUT BY PENNELL. THE QUALITY OF SERVICE HAS INCREASED. THEY ARE CLEAN. THEY ALWAYS CALL. THEY COME ON TIME. THEY SHOW UP ON TIME. THERE ARE NO COMPLAINTS.
