Description of Work: We had a plumbing blockage. They came out and cleaned the drain to the street.

Description of Work: Kitchen sink drain was clogged way down the line. He properly diagnosed the problem and had all of the necessary tools with him to quickly unclog the drain. He arrived in less than one hour which was a happy surprise.

Description of Work: I've used Brian Shields a couple of times now for my business plumbing problems. He's always been very responsive and he does fantastic, timely work. He's definitely a good guy to have on your list of people to call whenever you have a plumbing problem!

Description of Work: Had an odor that appeared to come from the BR drain. Brian checked all areas including roof vents, toilet & sink drains. Used drain cleaner & removed the "stopper" at our request. He felt smell was not drain/vent related, had no explanation other than possibly a dead rodent had gotten in the wall/under house. Since he found nothing he could "fix", he did not charge us! We were impressed & appreciative!

Description of Work: Our hot water heater's pilot light went out late on a Sunday afternoon. We were unable to relight it and thought we might need a plumber and a new water heater. We found Brian Shield's Plumbing, Inc through Angie's list. The ratings there all seemed positive so we called Brian on a Sunday afternoon. He answered the phone, we discussed the problem and he agreed to come to our home the next day between noon and 1PM. He and his employee arrived promptly at noon in a large, clean, enclosed truck clearly marked with his corporate information. He was totally professional, quickly got to work and diagnosed the problem as a bad thermocoupler. He had a replacement in his truck, pulled the bad one out, reconnected the new one and we were back in business with hot water. Afterwards, we had some additional questions about hot water tanks in general and alternatives. He thoroughly answered all of our questions and gave some suggestions for our specific house. All in all, this was a great experience and we would definitely use Brain for our future plumbing needs.

Description of Work: We dropped an object in the toilet that led to a blockage. We called Brian Shields Plumbing to remove it.

Description of Work: They came out twice to replace some fixtures in the bathroom. They also replaced a sump pump in the yard.

Description of Work: Brian was fantastic! We spoke on the phone and I described the leaking faucet. He knew exactly what the issue was. He planned on being in the neighborhood and would stop by. It took all of about 15 minutes.

Description of Work: Brian added a flush kit to our tankless water heater. (our original plumber never told us we needed it) he also gave me tips for DIY flushing of the unit and agreed it was easy to do.( he charges about $100 to do this if you don't want to do it) he did a terrific job and needed to get another part that I asked for. He didn't charge until he came back two days later to complete the job. He's our plumber now.

Description of Work: I have used Brian Shields Plumbing Inc many times. The last time I used them was in March. They fixed a leak.

Description of Work: He is my plumber and he's done some repiping for me from the house to the sewer line.

Description of Work: We have a recurring problem with our sewer line becoming clogged due to aggressive tree roots and a misaligned connection to the main line at the street. Brian showed up quickly and cleared it out using a roto-rooter-type piece of equipment. He suggested that if we keep it cleaned out periodically we may be able to avoid a $6000 project to dig up and replace the section of pipe that's about 8 ft underground.

Description of Work: They repaired a 5 inch pipe plug on my air conditioning unit. They had done some reconstruction due to a previous plumbing mistake.
