Excellent I would, without hesitation, recommend this company.

We have a home , buit in 1927, that is listed on the historic register. It was very important to us that the integrity of the home and original fixtures be maintained as much as possible when replacing some bad wood and repairing other windows. Ed and his crew were incredibly professional and easy to work with.

We first learned of Window Restoration and Repair from an article in the Pasadena Star News. We then met Scott Goldfarb at their booth at the annual Pasadena Bungalow Heaven home tour and decided to go ahead and get an estimate for the work. Everything went very well from the estimate to the completed work. They were prompt, professional and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I have recommended them to several neighbors and co-workers and would continue to do so.

They were professional. We would use them again.

This work required a lot of manual labor. They were very nice people to deal with. One of the newer employees managed to scartch a few of the panes. They came right back out and replaced them with no questions. I would use them again.

They did a pretty good job. I did think that they were a little on the expensive side.

All people I worked with from Window Restoration and Repair, sales, scheduling, and implementation, were polite, helpful, and professional. Having the windows repaired rather than replaced saved several thousands of dollars. As needed cranks and tracks were replaced, screen hooks replaced, broken parts replaced or repaired, the windows now work smoothly, open, close, and lock as designed. An excellent job.

Ed Sanchez came out and spent close to an hour carefully examining the window and the termite damage and taking measurements and photographs. He informed me that he believed the cause of the damage was that the sill was not properly sloped to keep rain water from accumulating on the sill resulting in damp wood which attracts termites. He examined the other two windows and recommended "tune ups" on all three. The tune-ups would include properly adjusting the fit of the windows and modifying the bottom sealing edge of the windows to keep water out. He would also replace the ugly and ineffective aluminum strips of weather stripping with properly installed quality weather stripping, which would not detract from the appearance of the windows when they are opened. Additionally, Ed explained that they would remove the damaged sill and jamb and replace them with redwood and properly slope the sill. He also recommended "Parliament Hinges" to allow the windows to open fully so that they would not blow shut in a breeze. Two days later, I received a detailed estimate by email. We approved the estimate on December 8th, and submitted a deposit and scheduled the work for December 30th. On December 9th, Ed called and told me they had finished a job ahead of schedule and could do the work on December 10th. On the 10th, Esteban and Nick arrived and couldn't be more polite or competent. They began by thanking me for selecting their company for the work. They carefully placed drop cloths where needed and set up their tools out on our deck. Because I am a do-it-yourselfer, I was very curious about every aspect of their work. They were happy to tell me about every step of the work they were performing and the reasons why. Esteban did the window with the termite damage and Nick did the tune ups on the other two. They arrived at 8:00 a.m., took a 45 minute lunch break and worked until 5:30 p.m. when the job was complete. Nick showed me where I would need to re-apply paint and how to remove and replace the weather stripping, to do it properly. These windows now open and close like "factory windows". The hinges solve the problem of the windows shutting in the breeze and the demo and repair work on the damaged sill and jamb were done so meticulously that no patching or repair is needed to the interior or exterior walls. I abhor incompetence and truly appreciate competence. This work was performed properly. I couldn't have asked for a better job. When it was all completed, Nick informed me that the work is covered by a 2-year warranty and I should call them if the window sticks, leaks or has any other problems. Unfortunately, all the other windows in our house are vinyl factory windows, so I can't use these fine people again.

Ed's team was fantastic. We had just recently bought a 1919 Craftsman Bungalow in which the majority of the windows had been painted shut and a few had rotten sills and we wanted to restore the windows rather than replace them with newer windows that did not retain the character of our older house. When Ed first gave us an estimate of the project he thought that he would not be available for a month. However, he called a few days later though and said that an opening would let his crew start working almost immediately. Ed's team went to work and in two days had every single window working. Amazingly, his crew was even able to reconstruct the portions of wood which had rotted on several of the sills (saving us the expense of replacing the windows outright). They also replaced the cheap hardware on our windows and replaced them with period-appropriate ones that look fantastic. After fixing and weatherstripping all of our windows, Ed's team gave us detailed instructions for our painter so that our windows would continue to work well.

We were looking for someone who would take the time and refinish and redo our steel casement windows. Everyone else we talked to wanted to replace the windows, but we wanted to keep the original details of our home. I called Ed Sanchez and he was great. He agreed to send out his crew. The only challenge is that unless you have a lot of windows to repair, you are not on a priority list. He'll get to you, but not as quickly. Luckily we had a lot of windows to repair.

They are great; not too many companies know how to fix these windows, but I have found these guys and they are wonderful. The price is charged per window.

They provided us with excellent service. It would have cost us more to have the windows replaced. They broke the glass on one of the windows but replaced it with no problems. They even gave us a follow up call to make sure we were satisfied with their work.
