Description of Work: They repaired an old set of french windows. Did a great job and were very professional. Cost was high, but work was excellent. They are busy. Contacted them in August and set the date to fix in November, as that was their first available slot. Good craftsmen.

Description of Work: Window restoration repaired two multi-sash windows. One window could be fixed on-site initially and the other required ordering new channel balancers and subsequent installation. The repair people were prompt, courteous and produced great outcomes.

Description of Work: Replaced an old aluminum frame window that was retrofitted. I have nothing but good things to say. The window looks great. They did a great job of replicating an existing window and tuned up other existing windows. I could not have been happier with the craftsmanship of the window and the work that they did. They did and excellent job while working inside, made sure to cover everything and removed all debris from the property.

Excellent work, very professional and clean. Highly recommend for wooden window restoration. My house is a 1926 Spanish-style bungalow.

Description of Work: Replaced handles on all casement windows, except one. Also greased the mechanisms and made sure they were working properly. When one old handle broke, they replaced it promptly. I would use this provider again.

They tuned up four steel casement sashes and two wood door slabs for easy one hand operation and locking They provided weather-stripping and polished brass door shoes and casement locks on the wood doors. Their work was of a very high quality and they were never less than professional and responsive. When the repair work was finished, I needed the services of a glazer and a painter. While they did not provide this, they helped me find the right people. They stuck by me until all the necessary work was completed. Great integrity! Description of Work: They restored my 1920s era wooden casement windows in my living and dining room, replacing one. The guy who comes out to do the estimate was great, very knowledgable and informative. The work itself was very high quality. The only down side was I had asked to keep the original brass parts they had to take off to accommodate new parts, but they did not leave them for me, and for some reason they did leave their very old shop vac behind. I called them about this, was told they would look into it, but never heard back from them.

It turns out he doesn't do the kind of repair I need, but he did a thorough consultation, showed me where the issues are and explained them carefully. Then he gave me the card of someone he would highly recommend to do the service. If ever I need work that his company does, I will definitely call them first. Highly knowledgeable, professional, and responsive.

Description of Work: The team at Windows Restoration & Repair (WR&R) restored more than 30 windows in our home. Our home is 17 years old, and we live fairly close to the ocean whose salt air degraded some of the mechanical parts in our home's casement windows. The WR&R team restored all of our windows, both mechanically so they function like new as well as cosmetically. Once again, we have great looking windows that work beautifully. From start to finish, it was a very positive experience with the WR&R team. Their sales representative, Norm, came out to our home, and he discussed several options with us on how to repair and restore our windows. Norm is very knowledgeable, and he advised us on the best course to reach our goals economically. Once we placed the order, Norm was always available to answer any new questions that came up as we anticipated the work to be done. The WR&R team that came to our home to restore our windows was experienced, hard working and very productive. As mentioned above, we had more than 30 windows that they restored, and they got through the job quickly without sacrificing quality. The site supervisor, Brian, was terrific. He is very professional and helpful to both his crew and the homeowners. We decided on having additional work done when the WR&R team was here for the first installation, and Brian organized that second job and came back at a later date to direct the installation work. Our second experience working with him was as positive as the first. Our home had been built with beautiful casement windows, the quality of which you don't see today. But the sea air had taken its toll on the windows over 17 years. The WR&R team brought those windows back to their original quality, and we are so happy that we had our windows restored rather than replaced. We would hire WR&R again.

Description of Work: Norm Tuazon came to my home to give an estimate on replacing our weatherstripping. He examined our windows and said they did not need any restoration work at this time. He was honest and very informative. He was very generous with his knowledge and seemed to be a windows expert. When the time comes that we do need repair, in another 3-4 years, I will definitely call Norm for an estimate.

Description of Work: phoned and spoke with Norm Tuazon regarding worn weather striping and other problems with 20 yr+ windows in my condo. Visit scheduled....Norm timely showed....he explained why repair/restoration not cost warranted...he suggested I consider new windows...recommended replacement windows closely conforming to others in building (CC&R requirement)....not a job for his company as it does not install new windows...oh yes, no charge.
