The Family Plumber

It went as expected... Great. The Family Plumber is my go-to plumbing service provider for my home, two rental houses and a rental condo. All of our tenants know who to call for plumbing problems.

Tried to schedule an appointment and this plumber never returned my call.

It was a wonderful honest experience. The two plumbers. Josh and Michael were very professional and extremely polite. They actually didn' provide a service but honestly told us it wasn't needed. The Family Plumber is very lucky to have such nice, honest young men working for them. I would recommend them to all my neighbors. Thank you.

They helped answer all my question from the start of the bid process to the very finish. They found and recommended improvements and repairs during the process. They where on time and used text messaging to give me details of the work. I had to work each day and they left my house very clean.

Before you pass judgement on the cost of my repairs, let me tell you that I had over 16 hours of work done on my home. Not only did it go well with these guys, I'd use them again without a second thought! Let me start by saying that I HATE PLUMBING. When houses get old, it's your worst nightmare. The Family Plumber shows up on time, prepared, and works harder than anyone I've ever used in the past. Most importantly, they don't cut corners. When the job is completed, you will be satisfied. I don't think you can put a price on that. Thank you Rick and Mike, thank you Family Plumber, and thank you Angie's List for helping me find them.

I have used The Family Plumber several times. This time I had a valve leak and I was going out of town for business so I needed it done ASAP. Vicky was very understanding. She found out who was in my neighborhood and was able to send them over after they finished their job. Rick has done several repairs for me. He knows his stuff and is a very honest guy. I wanted to write a review to let people know what a good plumbing company this is. Everyone is courteous and they take care of business and really help out when you are in a bind. I would highly recommend them.

Great! I am unemployed and not able to upgrade my plumbing at this time. Mike was able to locate the stems and install the ones required for my very old shower. Very professional and down to earth as the nameof the company implies.

The old one inch galvanized pipe, that runs from the city water meter (next to the street) to my house, had been in service for 64 years and finally gave up the ghost. The owner called me shortly after I sent a message via Angie's messaging service, and offered to go by my house later that same day to give me an estimate. He called me at work a few hours later, told me what needed to be done, how much it would cost, and how long it would take. Vicky (a very nice lady who does the logistical work) called me soon after and put me on the calendar. Right on schedule, two nice guys showed up at my house exactly on time. They dug a trench for the new copper line, drilled under my very large half-circle driveway, and after 8 hours everything was done. The Family Plumber did the job correctly the first time, pulled the city permits (this is a very important detail), and made sure they left my yard in excellent condition once the city inspector had blessed their work.

I originally contacted The Family Plumber to disconnect and reconnect my kitchen sink as part of a kitchen remodel. Paul spent a long time on the phone with me answering all of my questions and explaining all of my options. He then made sure that he was the person dispatched to the job since he had all of the details. He disconnected the sink very efficiently and we decided to purchase a new garbage disposal, separate the shut off for the fridge from the sink and replace the pipes from the wall. During his visit, I also asked for a quote on installing new comfort height toilets and installing a trap for the main line in our front yard. We scheduled these jobs as well. Paul and his assistant Eddie completed all of the work very efficiently and did an excellent job on all of the different items we had done. Our water heater also decided to go out in-between the various jobs that The Family Plumber was working on and they responded within a few hours and replaced it the same day so that we had hot water before we left on vacation. We appreciate their quality work and will most definitely call The Family Plumber for any future plumbing issues.

They responded very quickly, took care of the problems and offered some recommendations. And it all only cost $90. They were very helpful.

When I called the office I talked to Vicki who was very courteous and responsive to my questions and needs. She returned my call and called subsequently to let me know when a technician would be available and also when they were on the way to my house. When Paul and Eddie arrived they heard what the problem was and began work immediately. These two men were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. The problem was resolved in record time. I have called several plumbing services in the past due to the fact my house is quite old and needs tender loving care. I have crossed many services off my list but this is one number I am keeping. Not only did Paul and Eddie take care of my immediate problem but asked if there was anything else that could use their professional service. Paul checked the bathroom to make sure the problem was not larger than I anticipated. "The Family Plumber" should be proud of these two men. Mike arrived on time and took a look at my poor, sad, non-working toilet. I had thought that maybe just a new flange was needed since it was slowly leaking water/refilling the tank all the time. Finally the sound drove me nuts and I turned off the water at the base of the toilet. Turned it back on 2 days later...NOTHING. Whoops! Rather than dealing with trying to fix it ourselves, I decided to give The Family Plumber a call. Had a slight hiccup with the messaging system on Angie's List, but we figured it all out. They came the day after I sent the message...SUPER! Mike was fast, through, and cleaned up everything. He was very pleasant to deal with and I will have them do any future work here at the house. He even fixed the handle to keep it from sticking (resulting in less yelling at my husband for a running toilet!) and made sure that everything was working properly, including the fact that now the tank fills more quickly. AWESOME! Very happy...would HIGHLY recommend!

Based on Angie's List reviews, I scheduled a faucet replacement for four days after the call. When I scheduled the appointment, I explained when I had to leave for a meeting and we scheduled the appointment accordingly. The night before the appointment, I received a confirmation call. Ten minutes before I expected the plumber, I received a call that he would arrive within the next hour and a quarter. After that time lapsed, another twenty minutes went by before I called them. Unable to get to me in time that day, I was offered an appointment two days later. I passed on the offer. The next morning I received a call from the owner's wife, apologetic, explaining that my residence was on the outer edge of their service area and the plumber who was going to come was delayed on another job and couldn't get to me. She offered to have the owner come that afternoon to install the faucet. He showed up on time, did a fine job and gave me some price consideration for the trouble the prior day. Note: The reason I wouldn't call them in the future is simply because it became very clear that our home was on the outer fringes of their service area.

Had a slow draining kitchen sink for a couple weeks that eventually became totally clogged. Multiple tries with Liquid Drano did nothing. Called the Family Plumber at around 1pm on a Friday afternoon and they were able to come over at 4pm! Two guys came over and looked at the problem and told us the price up front before they started work. Less than a half hour later they were done and the sink was draining nicely as the clog was completely cleaned out. $105 dollars was very reasonable for the work they did. The guys were nice, punctual, and did quality work at a reasonable price. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

First, Paul the plumber came out with his apprentice the Saturday before the installation to assess the work to be done and provide an estimate. He did not charge me for that initial service call! He also answered all my questions and even delightfully provided extra information I had not intended to ask about. My water heater made a strange moaning sound whenever hot water was turned on anywhere in the house--we had become used to the sound since it was installed by another plumbing company five months previously--Paul said that wasn't normal, and he provided the name and number of a warranty company that takes care of water heater issues (which I have since used and the issue was fixed free of charge!). We also started talking about tub and shower replacements, and he provided all sorts of useful information and referrals. I will more than likely use The Family Plumber to replace my tub in the near future.
