Description of Work: 1 Kitchen faucet 3 bath faucets shower handles

Description of Work: I purchased this "deal" because the shower and toilet in our downstairs bathroom were backing up and I needed someone to come out asap. I called and explained to the person (lady) who answered my call that the shower and toilet were backing up and I needed someone to come out asap because any time we used the water anywhere in the house it caused the problem to get worse. The receptionist said we can send someone out next Tuesday (5 days away). I once again explained the urgency of the problem and asked if they could send someone out sooner. She explained that they would not have anyone in our area until 3/20/12 (Tuesday). Nowhere on the ad for the "deal" did it say that they did not service the Orange County area, in fact the "deal" listed Orange County as one of the areas Action Services DID service! I booked the appointment since I had already purchased the "deal" and hoped I could figure out something else to do in the mean time. The lady who answered my call didn't have the least bit of sympathy for my situation or any sense of urgency to get anyone out to help us, in fact she seemed irritated when I asked her if she could get anyone out any sooner!!! Later that day I was talking to my mom about the situation and she said I should call the plumber that my dad and her used to use. I called her plumber and explained the situation and he said he was at a job right then but that he would call me when he finished and come out today and take a look. The plumber called a few hours later and I told him that the stoppage had seemed to clear itself but he and a helper came out anyway to assess the problem. He and his helper stayed about 45 minutes running water, snaking the drain etc. and concluded that the stoppage did in fact seemed to have cleared itself. He said there would be no charge since it was on his way home and he really didn't do much. Did I mention that it was pouring rain as well and about 5 pm when he came out? This is what I call customer service!!! We have since become a loyal customer of this plumber (who is also a vendor on Angie's List) and I would NEVER consider doing business with Action Services in the future no matter how good the "deal" was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Description of Work: I purchased this as an Angie's List "Deal of the Day", but my hot water heater completely died and had to be replaced before I could use this service - I certainly would have used this if I had the opportunity. I am only writing this review because Angie's list is hounding me to do so by email on a regular basis.

Description of Work: I can't review this company because I cancelled the Big Deal appointment. They could not tell me if they would be equipped to take care of the plumbing issues I had, and they would only stay a certain amount of time, and I would be charged more for this and that, yada, yada, yada. It seemed to me to be more trouble than it was worth. So I hired another plumber - from Angie's List - M. Bean Plumbing - and was extremely happy with them!

Description of Work: I bought a "Big Deal". John installed a new kitchen faucet I purchased. He arrived at the agreed upon time and the installation was very clean and neat.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal for 2 hours of plumbing services at $99. Making an appointment was quick and easy and the employee was there on time. However, I was disappointed with the way the company followed through with the actual offer. I was told over the phone that the problem I needed to be addressed (a water leak under the house, most likely from a tub) was not something they could address under the deal. I ended up having the toilet reset and the employee did an ok job, but I could have had that done for $99 anywhere else.

Description of Work: fixed constantly running toilet cleaned solar fans on roof painted and patched my toilet has been randomly running for the past 2 years. some times i just turn the water off on it. i had one service come. then after one month it started running again. then i had a different service come, again after awhile it ran again. i called that same service and he came back and refixed it. again after a few weeks it started to run. i called him back but he never returned my call. so i used action services and he repaired it..again, after a couple months it started to run again. everyone seems to know what the problem is but yet in the end it never gets resolved.

Description of Work: I purchased the coupon offer for 2 hrs of plumbing service and the plumber arrived promptly as scheduled and said he wouldn't be able to do the job. I asked for an estimate and I emailed pictures of the work site. I waited weeks for an estimate after calling many times. Finally after about 5 weeks I received an estimate but it was not itemized so I called several times again for an itemized estimate (as instructed by Angie's List) and it's been 7 weeks and still no response. I gave up and requested a refund.

Description of Work: He fixed my toilet, change the toilet seat and replaced the pipes under the kitchen sink. He did an excellent job and gave me a supply list for his next service visit. Would highly recommend him

Description of Work: Came by to look at water heater. Determined it was too old to service. Quoted new one. More than I intended to spend. Called around for prices. Got frustrated. Called back. Honored quote less service call from earlier. Had to pay $89 extra for a service. It was a two man job to perform, and only one man came. The man was very polite, but I had to help him bail water and lift new water heater.

Description of Work: It took me a while to get an appointment for a plumber to visit. They were very busy with so money coupon holders. Initially, the work was defective. The plumber installed the valve, and it was leaking after he left. The toilet was not fixed properly either. The plumber had to come second time to fix the valve, and the toilet. After he left, neither the toilet onr the valve was fixed properly. Water still leaked. They were nice enough to come third time without any charge. The valve was finally fixed,and working well. The toilet was still not working. It is possible that it wasn't the plumber's fault. I recently replaced the toilet with a new one.
