They also tried to scope the problem but had trouble going through the vents on the roof of the house. We spent a lot of extra time searching for the clean out unsuccessfully and trying to get under the house.

Toilet was eventually repaired by another person and since it's still working have not yet had to replace it. When I do, I will call this company to have the work done.

They were punctual. I had this work done by another handyman in the past. I found this individual to be very cautious. He obviously was not use to switching out electric sockets. This did result in going over the 4 hours for the coupon. Even so, I was happy to see that he took the quality of the work seriously and he did do a good job overall. Even with the overtime, I still paid far less than the estimate received from my contractor. So when they offer a coupon, take them up on it.

They were really just fantastic. The rep arrived on time and knew exactly what to do. The job was somewhat complex but I had all the parts and was ready to help if needed. This was a Buy Now Deal for $99 for any plumbing job and they honored it. I was so pleased with the work and especially with the care taken with the vintage stuff, that I called them back to repair my old gravity furnace. Action also bid on my back patio and stucco work, which I hope to get done soon. They are a great company and can do it all.

Our toilet seat broke and I needed to remove it to install a new seat. Action came and the repairman ended up breaking the toilet in trying to remove the seat so I ended up needing a new toilet. I had an $89 voucher for installation of a new toilet and I had to fight with Action to get them to honor the installation of the new toilet I had to have installed as a result of them breaking my old toilet! They ended up accepting the voucher but I would never ever use them again!

Had several plumbing items we wanted take care of and bought the big deal to just get some help with the work and see how much could be done with 2 hours of a plumbers time. The plumber that was sent was nice enough but a little junior and quite seem to have the expertise to fix all the issues (including problems with a Kohler Water Haven tower). He did fix problems with two faucets but ran out of time and suggested what we might be able to do with the others problems. Overall it was fine for what we paid.

The handyman arrived on time and completed the shower caulking in about one hour. For the kitchen, he did not have tan colored caulking, so he went to Home Depot to buy some. He claimed the helper at Home Depot said the caulking would dry darker than the color when applied, but it did not. The caulking bead was wider than I had expected and dried to very light color which did not match the tan backsplash color at all. When I complained to the owner, he said he could send out another handyman but it would cost me $89. I agreed and the second handyman used a different caulk that dried to a perfect match with the backsplash. I feel the owner should have provided the recaulking at no cost since the handyman had selected the caulking at Home Depot and had picked the wrong color. The company no longer provides caulking services.

Installed a new pipe, which did not solve the problem. The plumber said I needed to clear the main line and quoted a cost of almost $500.00. I was using this provider because my regular plumber was out of town. I declined to do further business with Action Services and when my regular plumber was available he easily fixed the clogged drain for $90.00. I don't know if Action Services was trying to perform unnecessary work to get more money from me, or if their plumber legitimately thought that the main line needed to be cleared to fix a minor problem; either way, it did not instill confidence in their company.

Everything went well. He cleared the drain and replaced the faucets. Clean, friendly, prompt. Would recommend

This company was prompt and very professional over the phone. They explained everything that would have been done and set the expectations. Unfortunately, I couldn't schedule a weekend appointment and ultimately had to find anther service to fix my problem.

Very prompt service, clean and effective. Job was performed swiftly and the technician was very pleasant. Would definitely hire again.

I called the Company and the girl made an appointment and John Santore came out to look at the job. He took the information he needed and was very respectful and questioned me so that he knew exactly what I wanted. He came back the following week and gave me a price that I was happy with. After seeing several other contractors, I decided that I felt comfortable with Angies list and with john and told him to go ahead with the work. People started on schedule and did the work as John said. When it was finished I was very happy and so was my husband. If we need work in the future we wlll be sure to call Action Services first.

The office people's attitudes were bad and the workers did not do good work.

I first used Action Services in March 2012 to clean a drain as part of a coupon offer. Even though they were quite far away, they honored the offer and did a great job. While they were there they gave me an estimate on a leak I had in my finished basement. They did a very professional job on that -- so good that I had them come back again and do a small remodel and install a washer and dryer in the house. Even though there were a few hiccups towards the end of that job with some finishing, Action was very responsive and fixed everything to my satisfaction, so much so that I hired them again in August to do some major remodeling to rehab a garden shed into a home office. They did an A+ job on that, we are thrilled with the result, and would not hesitate to hire them again.

Did not do anything. The expiration lapsed and I reached out to vendor to see about other options. No response

Plumber arrived on time and was very friendly. He was able to clear the kitchen trap but not the bathtub, but called his office asking if a colleague-who had success with difficult bathtubs--was available. Another plumber arrived the next day and was able to take care of everything.

good, except said the angie's list deal didn't cover my size of pipe, so needed to get a different valve

The first tech was relatively inexperienced and cleaned the line inadequately. When it stopped up a couple days later they sent a more experienced tech out who did an excellent job ; going above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. So the original service was a C and the come back and A plus. Hence my overall grade.

Not good - didn't really need the service and the contractor didn't really do anyhing but add grout over existing grout which has since just started to contract and peel away. Unfortunately, a total waste of money.

This was a huge flop. I think that it was a bad placement for a big deal, because in most big cities they require you to get a permit for it. They did not go through the permit process. They came out and installed it wrong. I had a gas leak and called the gas company. The gas company came out and cited me with a fine for not having a permit. Then I had to have Action come back and remove it. Because of the fine, action did refund my money. They were nice about it. I do not know all of the rules and regulations of the country and I depend on the service person that I hire to tell me if something needs to be permitted or not. I use reputable people so that I do not end up breaking the law. The installer was not all that good. He knocked over two of my clapboards and did not fix them. It was a good price. After several phone calls the owner finally called me, it took awhile. I would not use them again.

The installation team showed up early. They came fully prepared for the job. Cut out and removed the old existing windows (11 of them) and replaced them with energy efficient double paned ones. All the mechanisms on the windows after a year work excellently. The installation team then cleaned up in each window site that they worked. Overall I would highly reccomend Action Services.

Stupid. Rude. Couldn't even find my file. Told me to call Angie's List to get my money back. They said that they had never heard of me, yet I paid the money to prove it.

It went well. They took out the old water tank dinosaur, installed the shiny new system in a convenient location. Good communication, on time, fast with the work, and clean up afterward. Would use them again.

Went well and we're happy with the fact that the bug issue is gone. The reason for the overall score not being higher is that I made the transaction using an Angie's List coupon that included a termite inspection which wasn't done because the tech that came out to my house didn't know how to do one. Still need to reschedule for a termite inspection but the company said that when I was ready to do one, to call which I will.

Action Services Inc. were good. We bought a big deal for Action Services Inc. to have them do some capping off of a gas line. They did a bunch of work in our house and it was good. They did it very well. I don't remember the cost. They were nice guys. We hired them to do something they couldn't do it. We bought the deal hoping that they could do something but we didn't call ahead to find out if they were capable.
