Technician was very professional and efficient.

Even though they say they serve the Los Angeles area, they refused to service me. I live in Los Angeles (Eagle Rock). They did not want to even work anything out. They just said they dont service my area?! I live in los angeles! They should say service parts of los angeles? I dont know, just very frustrating and very misleading. No service was ever performed because I was refused service

No service in the Palm Springs area

It was obvious that my problem was way down the main line to cause everything to back up. It however was not a problem in the kitchen. Turns out it was difficult to clean out that section between the bathrooms and kitchen. It took a while but the technician was determined and he finally found a solution by accessing the pipes from my roof (of all places). I was pleased with the final outcome and I would use this company again.

This was an Angie's List Deal for a handyman for a day. I emailed a list to Action Services & was able to secure an appointment quickly & easily. On the day of, the handyman who came arrived a little late, but he stayed longer in the afternoon to make up for the lost time. I had pre-sent a prioritized list of To Do's for our home. The handyman who came was efficient, not disruptive to our daily routine at home, did great work from painting plaster on an exterior garage wall, to fixing a corner of broken baseboard in our bathroom, to fixing broken doorknobs, etc.. He got through the items on our list & then offered to fix a couple more things because we had extra time left. My input was sought out in completing projects, when appropriate, which I appreciated. For example, the handyman sanded some exterior wood work that had been previously stained & was in need of more staining. When I gave him the stain I had, he mentioned that this stain would not be dark enough to cover up some spots in the wood, so they would still be seen. If I was ok with that, then he said he would go ahead & stain the wood, but he wanted to be sure I was okay with that before starting. I decided to postpone the staining until later so that I could purchase the appropriate stain, but I really appreciated him being up front with me & asking for my input.

I paid $35 for an Angielist the Big Deal, and it is a pretty good deal. The owner, John, seems to be very knowledgeable. His plumber is not as knowledgeable and John gave him very detailed instrucions, but I found out afterwards that he made a mistake. John did send him back so that he could fix the error to our satisfaction. We have a lot more work to be done around our house, but John was not interested in bidding for the other projects.

I set up the apointment and they told me the supplies to have on hand. Unfortunately I did not get the correct item. A misunderstanding between the scheduler and myself. The service provider was theer on time and started the work on the job while I ran to the hardware store. He finished the work and explained the care for the work and other problems that were observed. Very professional and helpful.

It took a while to get our schedules on track since I am in Pomona and they wre in Long Beach. My work schedule an handyman availible in the area. Once the appt was madehe was there relatively on time. He asked for my list of repairs and started on the shower ring. Ther was quiet a bit of banging and the sound of falling things. I went in and checked on him, he said he was fine and he continued to work. When that project was done I mentioned that the rod appeared to be higher one side than the other and he replied that walls are not alway level in older houses. I figured that would be accounted for and hung accordingly since he was the handymnan. Then he went in to hang the mirror and never checked to see how I wanted it placed other than over the fireplace. I cleaned up in the bathroom and noticed several dings in the paint on my tub. He relied well, "its only painted, not the porcelin". Next was the dryer exhaust hose extension and no problems there. The last amount of time was on the dimmer switch. He then left. I checked the shower rod and it was 1" different from the side against the wall and the other side, an obvious slope. When night came around I discovered that the lights in the adjacent living room were not working. I called to the company on both issues and it was coming up on Memorial day weekend and they were going to see what they could do about sending someone. They were able to send someone on Saturday morning. He was there when I arrived home waiting for me from my night shift, corrected the shower rod (very easy fix) and fixed the lights ( the wires were attached incorrectly). He was very plesant and appolized for the errors. It was his first day with the company. He took pictures of the tub damage but I never heard anything about that other than the follow up if the lights and rod were corrected. Also I learned when I was finishing cleaning the bath area, that he must have hit the clock on the wall too and not said anything because there were little pieces of the back on the floor.

I needed to get extra screws from Home Depot for the door, and when he was finished, it still didn't close properly. (A neighbor came by with longer screws the next week and it was fixed) He said he patched the roof with the sealer I bought, but when it rained several months later, it leaked. I have since patched the roof again with the same material, and it hasn't leaked.

Action Services are more than helpful - and professional! They arrived on time (w/promised courtesy 1/2hr. prior "ServiceTech On Way" call) and honestly, and the 'Tech' (GIL:) seriously could NOT have been nicer or more knowledgable or helpful and Patient (with my more than ga-zillion questions on totally different jobs I need done)!! He truly CARES - offering suggestions and options as well as ballpark costs - and was literally a walking Plethora of helpful -some invaluable- tips and most effective ways (and Order of which) to get all my (very different) jobs done! ..from fixing my previous Contractor drywall-screwups to several different plumbing problems, to getting my Master bathroom Vanity cabinets & sinks re-faced - as well as my toilet fixed!! It turns out Action Services do pretty much Everything and have for many years - which I had NO clue of! - and was more than thrilled to discover :) I could not have asked for better service, advice or integrity - and while the original job he came out for it turns out could Not be done (as my Gas valves are Custom sizes), I most definitely plan to work with them starting next week when they come back out to get specs on my Master Bath Vanity, as well as 2 other jobs I desperately need done. - I would most definitely recommend them (and Gil specifically) to everyone!

I called and received the appointment time and date that I wanted with no problem. The technician showed up on time. The first thing he did was look at the shower handle that needed replacing. He ended up not having anything in the truck that would work, but thought he could find something at Home Depot. The next thing he looked at was the leaking bath sink fixture. I thought he could just tighten the faucet, but he said it was made in such a way that that was not possible....a replacement was the only option. He had one, but I did not really like it. He offered to let me ride along with him to Home Depot where he was going to pick up a shower handle and look for a different sink fixture. He then looked at the shower spray fixture and said he would show me what I could buy at Home Depot that would raise the height. At Home Depot, I could not find any fixture that I like any better than the one he had, so ended up having him install that one. He found a shower handle that he thought would work and showed me what to buy for the shower spray fixture to increase the height. I purchased both for about $25. Back at my house, he installed the shower handle, the bathroom sink fixture and the attachment to increase the shower spray height. All work great and I am satisfied with the work he did. I had bought an Angies Deal for $89 for 2 hours of time. All his work, including the Home Depot run, took about 2 hours so all I ended up paying him additional for was the cost of the sink fixture....about $100.

It was easy to contact the provider and schedule the appointment. The onsite person was very professional and helpful.

We wanted two full bathrooms spick and span and some venetian blinds cleaned. All done to our satisfaction.

henFantastic. Arrival at 8:55 am. Immediately started spreading the windows to their appropriate locations. Started removal of all the steel casement windows. Cleaned the area. Fitted the new windows. Imbedded them in a caulking bed and anchored them in with screws. Cleaned the area again, caulked and cleaned all the windows. Great Job!

As expected. Employee was very helpful in explaining another unrelated problem even though I chose not to fix it then.

bought the deal, but could never get them to return my phone calls or emails. Ultimately received a refund from Angie's List

Work was done very well, the only complaint being the drain stopper was a little loose.

The call the make the appointment went well. I did not have to wait a long time to get the service done. I made sure they had both home and cell numbers just in case, and they did call to confirm that morning on both phones. I read the previous reviews and got points as to what to ask for before the tech came. The gentleman was kind and understanding as I do not know 'plumbing terminology'. I purchased the supplies at the nearest Lowes. On the day of the service, I called to verify the the service time and realized I just missed her confirmation call. The service tech came at 9:55am and we went through what was to be done. After 10 minutes, he started and was done shortly after noon. Both faucets look great and are working without any leaks. Thanks again, ACTION SERVICES, INC.

Got an Anglie's Big Deal for $99 for 2 hours of plumbing work. My shower was leaking a little bit so I decided to get the deal. I called them hoping to get a convenient time for me to get the shower fixed. I scheduled it for 10 days out as that was convenient for me and that was when they would have somebody out in my area Unfortunately the leak got worse real quick and I ended up going with a co-workers referral.I called Action Services back to tell them that I didn't need them to come out. I decided to save the deal for future plumbing problems. About six months later, I used them to change out all my outdoor faucet bibs and snake the shower and bathtub drains. They came on time, did the work quickly and were friendly. It was not very difficult work but they did it fine. Finished everything in a half hour.

Gil changed a valve for my water heater's supply line. I have no complaints about the job itself, except that he didn't test the ball valve for the return line after replacing the supply line's valve. I didn't ask him to test the other line because I'm not knowledgeable enough to have thought of it by myself. He would have earned a higher grade in professionalism if he had saved me from another call for replacing the other valve.

I purchased a coupon from Angie's List for plumbing services. Waited to use it too long. Call with a week remaining and never received a call back from company. Tried again with no success. Looks like I wasted $89.

The whole story is in the paragraph above. It was not a good experience, a waste of my time but at least Angie's made it right financially. Would definitely not call this company again.

The job turned out to be more complicated becuase of the length of pipe needed, but he was tenacious, efficient and got the job done to our satisifaction.
