A to Z Chimney Services

It was fine; I was not here so I did not deal with them. They left everything nice and neat and they left us information. There were no issues. It was a great deal. They left everything looking great and the chimney is clean. They came when they said they were going to come. They called before they came.

Mick cleaned our and inspected our chimney and fireplace. He was very professional and pointed out some irregularities with the construction. Our fireplace is on a corner and has some ventilation issues that he explained how to remedy. He did not try to sell us any extra services, which I greatly appreciated.

Overall I was happy with the work.

I thought I had lots of dust in fireplace. I didn't but he found a hole in the pipe leading into the gas jets that needed to be filled. I paid an extra $35. for that and I was glad it didn't take a repeat visit. He checked chimney from the top, and then found the gas vent was only putting out flame in one hole. We're going to replace that next fall.

Service went without a hitch. Technician was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, thorough and easy to work with. He inspected the dryer heating element and pronounced it in proper working order. Cleaned the dryer venting system that vents through the roof, as we have a in-side laundry room. Vent has never been cleaned to our knowledge since the house was built in 1998. He said it was pretty well clogged with about only 30% left for airflow. Cleaned up after himself, very nice. Gave us and estimate on replacing all of our window and door screens including on our 400 sq. ft. glass sunroom. Did a good job in explaining the different types of sunscreen materials and colors and the benefits they add for sun protection, visibility and over appearance. I highly recommend A to Z Window Screens & Chimney Sweep. They will get the call to replace our window screens.

I used an Angie's List Deal to hire A to Z. When I called, they knew exactly who I was, that had purchased a discount coupon thru Angie's List and the proceeded to schedule my chimney cleaning for the following week. The two gentlemen they came were EXTREMELY professional in demeanor and attire - clearly knowledgable, well-spoken and friendly. The quickly went to work and finished the job and suggested I might consider in future having a metal shield removed as was old and was no longer even legal to put these on chimneys due to fire hazard. I went ahead and paid them the extra $35 to have them remove that while they were up there. They were in and out of the house in less than an hour. Can't say enough about the personal professionalism of both these two gentlemen and the woman I spoke with at the office to schedule the appt and who called as she said she would to let me know they would be there within a half hour when they were on their way. HIGHLY recommend.

It went well. I am not an expert in that area so I basically had to trust the person who was doing the job. There is nothing else to report.

It was a great company to use. The technician was very nice and told me everything he would be doing. He took pictures and those were emailed to me later so I could keep them. He made sure he kept the area clean with drop tarp. He explained how the chimney was contructed on the roof and what I would need to do to ensure that the area doesn't eventually erode due to water getting into the seems next to the chimney itself. He didn't try to push another appointment on me....just gave me a quote for the repairs if I decide to do them. The company followed up with a phone call and an email. Good service!

The job was professionally done and taking into consideration how often we burn, recommendations for the next cleaning was very appropriate. They didn't try to sell us unnecessary cleanings or repairs. They were professional and did an excellent job. I would definitely hire this company again.

The service was excellent. They came in and cleaned the chimney. He told me what needed to be done if I wanted to have a big blazing fire in there. They were very good. They were very pleasant and punctual. Overall, they were very pleasant to work with.

It had been some time since I'd had the chimney cleaned and the 'big deal' add prompted me to make an appointment. The process was very easy; A TO Z WINDOW SCREENS & CHIMNEY SWEEP was the service provider and all went well with the cleaning process. overall it was convenient, the service provider who cleaned our chimney was very polite and efficient and informed us of some required repair our fireplace.

The service itself was good. There were a few things that the man said needed to be done and he gave me a quote of $1500. This kind of caught me off guard, and I had some friends and family tell me I should probably get another quote. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Big deal would not cover the entire cost of service.

I received numerous calls within a day or two of purchasing the coupon, which was sort of annoying. However, once I booked, they were courteous and came on time. The young man carefully laid down a tarp to protect the carpet, and described what he was doing through the entire process. The diagnostic camera is pretty interesting, and he took pictures of some problem areas. Although he found some defects in the brick, he gave an honest assessment of the severity of the problem, explaining that the dangers and risks were minimal. I appreciated his honesty and integrity, and care for my carpet and belongings.

They did a wonderful job. The fireplace is clean, the chimney is clean, I've had no issues at all!

Customer service was great. They called the day before to confirm the appointment and to tell me Tony, the chimney sweeper/inspector may be running a little late, but that he would still finish within the allotted 2 hr time frame. Tony was almost an hour late, but having had the heads up, my time wasn't wasted on waiting. Tony was a very professional and friendly individual. He knew what he was doing, didn't dilly-dally with his work and kept a smile on his face. He also took time to explain what he was doing and his findings on the inspection.

They came out right on time. They spent 45 minutes "cleaning" the fireplace, they tried to upsell me and I was thoroughly confused. They didn't remove all of the creosoap and I felt as though the deal was not worth the pricing option.

The service man arrived, knocked, and stood several feet from the door when I opened it. He identified himself, and presented identification. He proceeded to prepare the area in the family room so that the nothing would get dusty or soiled from the work he was doing. He cleaned the chimney, from the family room. Then, he got up on the roof, and inspected the chimney cap and the interior of the flue from above. He returned to the house and gave me a detailed report on the work he had done. He removed the drop cloths and equipment from the family room, leaving the room spotless. The service took less than an hour.

Everything was installed as arranged. There were two additional window installations installed later. There was a delay due to more screens needing to be made in order to complete order. There was another delay due to truck maintenance issue. Quality of screens we ordered and fittings were good.

Everything went well. Repair man arrived on time, did a great job, and kept my home clean.

The technician arrived on time and set up his equipment. He completely covered my carpet in the surrounding area and then explained exactly what he was going to do. He kept me up to speed each step of the way and provided a thorough assessment of his findings. There were a few things that needed to be addressed: some cracking inside the chimney; no cover outside on the top of the chimney and some areas at the top of the chimney that needed some repairs. There was no hard sell at all, and I appreciated that. I did have the inside repaired and had him place a cover on the top of the chimney. I'll call them back when I can afford the additional repairs that are needed. Thanks for doing a great job!

Ryan showed up right on time. Performed a quite thorough inspection. He mentioned that they also did window screening. Mick got window measurements and provided quote. They came back two weeks later to perform the work. While Mick installed the screens and screen door, Ryan did all of the chimney work. Tarps were put out to protect the floors as well as Ryan using shoe covers. All to work was done efficiently and professionally. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
