A to Z Chimney Services

It went great. I just can’t afford to go through with the extensive repairs so I haven’t used my fireplace since. I followed their advice. They were referred by Angie’s List. I really liked that they had sophisticated fiber-optic camera equipment that went down the chimney. Then they had a tablet so that they could show me on the spot what was wrong. My house was built in the 60’s and they explained to me that there was some defect in the composition of the chimney where there was a loft in the brick. Overtime it enhanced the danger to the chimney. The chimney should actually be partially rebuilt. They told me because of cracks and stuff like that it potentially would be a fire hazard. So I just didn’t use the fireplace anymore and I had pollution alerts in the area as well. If I have the resources to have the chimney fixed I could call them again because they seemed to be very knowledgeable. It was a big deal purchase. The price was reasonable.

They have been out a few times, they have been out for the initial consultation in October and then they did work for us in both November and December. They had good Angie's List reviews, they were certified to do the chimneys and also that they made their screens in the house and so the screens we had are all bent because the crazy lady kept taking them out trying to get into the house. They also demonstrated how the frame they use is much better than the normal screens and so they explained that that was why it was a little more expensive but it was really reasonable. The other thing that we did is that right after we ordered the screens maybe a few weeks after, we decided when Simon had showed up that we would replace the doors and a few windows which they had already measured for frames. They were very easy going, they cancelled the screens that we had them ordered and they were just really professional.

It went okay. They were very professional. I have 2 chimneys side by side and they charged me full price for the second one. I felt they were a little high priced. They did a very good job and did a thorough inspection of the chimneys. It was a good quality service. The serviceman was very knowledgeable, clean, and I felt very comfortable being around them. I would use them again in the future.

They cleaned out the chimney, and were able to unstick the damper handle that was stuck in the open position. I also had them clean out the dryer vent which went up through the garage roof. Everything was done perfectly and they were very professional in their work. |

It went well. I was only upset that I had to clean off the couch since they did not cover it. I found some soot on it.

My dryer repairman said my dryer tested fine, but the duct (which comes out on the roof) was clogged. He cleaned it as far up as he could go with his equipment but said he didn't want to go on the roof for fear of breaking the roof tiles. I went to Angie's list and found that many chimney sweeps provide that service. I called A to Z, they were hear within a few days, they cleared the duct and my dryer is working perfectly now. Professional, on time, clean! What more can you ask for?

well, they recommended a chimney cap that they didn't have in stock and I went out and purchased it and installed myself. They were friendly and knowledgable.

First said that he could not clean our chimney because it was not up to code and it would cost up a couple of grand to make it up to code. The person insisted he was right after my husband questioned him about it. The person finally realized he was incorrect after we where planning on how we were going to upgrade the chimney to not be a fire hazard. The technician realized he was incorrect when he actually/finally looked into the fireplace. Technician was very nice but it started off on a bad note....

Work was done in a professional manner. Representative performed all services. With such a dirty job, I was concerned about clean-up; they did an excellent job of keeping the area clean.

All of the work was done in a very professional and expedient manner and we were very pleased with the final result. The new door looks GREAT!

We purchased a big deal for the service. When they came out, they didn't realize, I was on Angie's list, and they thought that the big deal coupon that I had, was from a home show that they were doing. The value of the coupon that they were giving out, was less expensive than the big deal that I had purchased. I went online to find out the value of what they were giving online, and they did a few extra things on the chimney. Otherwise I would feel like I was getting ripped off. They were very good. They were very good, as far as what they did, and they were very nice.

They inspected and cleaned the chimney and recommended a fix to the chimney top/flashing. They said it was not causing a problem now. They provided an estimate and were not pushy about wanting to get the extra work.

I went well and they did what they said they would do. I will use them again.

It took a long time to order this custom-made glass doors, but it was installed great. It's been working great! They were very professional and nice.

Excellent work! They even showed me how to properly start a fire in my insert!
