.The job went great, except that when it began, as with any project, when you start digging and moving things around, you find other things that you didn't know were there. In our case, a drain pipe was found where a footing was supposed to go. RAD let us know immediately and proposed a solution that worked around the drain line (much better than moving it) and provided an approved cost effective alternative to the original plan. RAD, at our request, obtained City permits and coordinated inspections by City inspectors. A great job by all - workers, office staff, we are very pleased. we would use them again and recommend them.

Absolutely one of the most professional companies with whom we have ever worked in our 59 years of owning our home. They knew what to do and when to do it. They consulted with us along the way. The crew was polite at all times. The garage floor is beautiful, and the new sidewalk is a great asset as we have a family member in a wheelchair. We are planning to hire them again to replace a cracked driveway slab.

We had a new foundation and porches put in about 10 years ago by another vendor but was starting to notice large cracks on the inside and outside walls of the house and doors that either would not open or wouldn't stay closed. Fearing that the foundation was failing again we asked 4 local vendors to bid on the repairs including the company that had replaced the foundation 10 years prior. All of them had a little different take on what the problem was, but all agreed the foundation walls were sound. Russ with R.A.D. went the extra mile though and brought in a stuctural engineer to tell us what was the going on and how to fix it. It turns out the large porches on the front and back of the house didn't have enough support and were pulling the house apart. We did provide the report with the suggested repair to all bidders, R.A.D came in right in the middle. In the end we choose R.A.D because of Russ, not only was his forethought key in the discovery proccess, he made the effort to educate us so we felt comfortable in our decision no matter what company we went with. R.A.D started the job on time, finished on time, and got a 100% plus sign off from the engineer for going over and above his recomendations. The intire company was beyond professional, with amazing communication throughout the whole project! R.A.D Construction is the right choice!

We were extremely happy with the service that was provided by RAD Construction. Another company (not an Angie's list company) had made an evaluation of our foundation and estimated the repairs to be $9,000. We asked two Angie's list companies to do the same evaluation. RAD's evaluation indicated that no repairs were needed and our foundation is solid. We also had Sure Safe out and they concurred that the foundation was in good shape. We were not charged for the evaluation! We would have been happy to pay Russ for his time but he insisted it was a free evaluation. We are happy to hear that our foundation is in good shape and were 100% happy with the service RAD Construction provided.

My parents (now deceased), purchased their home in 1976, and over the years cracks appeared on the walls, on the floors, and outside on the foundations. In getting the house ready to sell, we knew we needed to address these, and were prepared for the worst. We got 3 bids from different companies, as our main goal was to get it done right, and ensure the house was safe for sale. RAD was the only company who recommended getting an engineer involved right at the beginning, and have him come back out at the end to certify their work. RAD couldn't have been better. They gave me names/numbers of engineers; they arranged their schedule to have a representative at the house when I met with the engineer; they wrote up a bid quickly that addressed all the engineer's recommendations; they gave me the name of a flooring company (a very important piece of the puzzle, as the engineer wanted to see the slab completely naked); they filled the cracks per specifications, using epoxy and rebar as necessary; they cleaned up (although it's a very messy job, and impossible to get all the concrete dust removed). We had one hiccup when the engineer came back to review their work, but the crew was at the house within an hour to address it, so the engineer could see the job completed (and not have to make another trip out). I was very, very impressed with RAD, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing foundation work!

I had RAD Construction come to my house to completely re-do my sidewalk in front of my house. I really liked my neighbors' sidewalk/apron so I requested it to match that. They matched it exactly and I couldn't be happier with the sidewalk and apron into my driveway. It has definitely added some much needed curb appeal. I was originally going to complete my driveway with pavers, but after seeing the quality of work and the professionalism of RAD Construction, I am considering completing my driveway with concrete and having RAD Construction do the work.

Did a wonderful Job. Not disruptive to living in the house, and replaced the underground access when they were finished.

I had an issue with my raised foundation of my 60 year old house that created a crown in the wood floor/sub-floor of my residence. I also had an issue with floor flex in my two bathroons that manifested in popping noise and caused the floor tile grout to crack and come loose from the tile joints. I was also concerned with some piers that were perched on the edge of the concrete footings. Owner Russ Burdeno came to my residence and performed a comprehensive evaluation of my raised foundation. He was able to identify the problem areas where two beams were butted together and this joint was supported by a single post. He could see from the uneven gap in the beam joint (the gap was larger at the top of the joint than the bottom) that the floor was higher at these points. The misaligned piers were self-evident. I was told the minimum cost for service was $1500, regardless of the amount of work. Knowing what the job entailed, I felt this was fair. I was also told that the retrofit might not completely flatted the crown (I do still have a slight crown in the floor, but it is much improved). The bathroom floors were not evaluted at this time. After the initial visit I requested the bathroom floor be evaluated during repairs of the pier and beam structure. The work was scheduled promptly and the crew arrived and began work as scheduled. To correct the crown, the existing 4x4 piers were removed and replaced with custom fitted, pressure treated 4x6's. The 4x6's provided greater stability when spanning the beam gap. The misaligned piers were bypassed with new piers and footings located in close proximity to the original supports. The original supports were left in place. The crew returned the next day to remove temporary supports and install metal straps/brackets that tied piers to beams. All repairs were performed in a timely fashion and were of good quality. I was considering and quot;strappingand quot; all the piers for seismic stability. I was told by Russ that it was unnecessary as the piers were nailed to the beams and this would be sufficient (I was glad to save the money). Russ also stated that the concrete perimeter wall was in great shape (very reassuring). During the pier and beam installation, the crew leader evaluated the subfloors of my bathrooms and said he would discuss possible reinforcement with Russ. I was hoping to roll the two repairs together to reduce the overall cost, but the bathroom floor reinforcement was bid separately ($1500). I opted out of this work. Overall I am very happy and am considering RAD for a raised concrete porch to replace my deteriorating wood deck. If potential customers need any additional assurance, I am an engineer working in the aerospce industry and so am familiar with structural design.

RAD Construction offers the best of both worlds: the owner being fully involved with the project and having a crew of competent workers. Russ, the owner, estimated the project and was fully knowledgeable as to the work that was being done on a daily basis. RAD Construction was called when we discovered a portion of the house was sitting on pressure treated wood, pavers were being installed next to the house by a paving company and they indicated a potential problem with the foundation. The paving company stopped work, Russ with his crew completed the foundation repair work in a timely manner, and the paving company then completed their job. A couple of estimates were obtained prior to hiring RAD Construction and we determined that RAD Construction would be best based upon his experience, his staff, his knowledge and his communication skills. His price was in the range of other estimates. Russ came out quickly, crawled under the house, estimated the project, obtained the permit and began work. His crew worked diligently and completed the project in approximately 2 1/2 weeks. The longest delay was waiting for the city permit as the house is in a historical area. Russ was very professional in all his dealings; returning calls, addressing questions and concerns, and working with the paving company. We will use RAD Construction when the house requires additional foundation repairs.

This split-level house, with a post-construction basement dug into the crawlspace, sits on a graded hill that has a good amount of clay causing periodic shifting (i.e., doors out of align, floor sag, small crack in stem wall). Drainage wasn't optimal and there have been very wet days with standing water during heavy rains in the past so a sump was dug 3' down and a pump placed with drainage to hillside. Overall: Good work and would use again and/or recommend RAD Construction. The Very Good: Great people at RAD. William was very easy to work with and addressed all questions and was available for post-completion inspection. Manny, Clayton, Junior and Jaime all did great work. Thanks to Clayton for the nice grate over my sump! The Good: Overall pleased with the work. They were very eager to address any questions and, I feel, went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied (we are). They even did a little extra that was actually out of scope and I really appreciate it! The Other: The project took a bit longer than originally stated. I didn't mind, that so much, but I think we would have appreciated better scheduling info since we have dogs that can't be trusted with an open gate.

I was told by the contractor, RAD, that they would start demolition of the existing concrete patio on November 18 and they did. I parked my 2 autos in the street the night before their arrival so they could park their 10 wheeler dump truck, Bobcat and compressor. Four men worked all day on the demo and removal of the same. Everyday for two weeks, men were working hard and fast. Every crew had a specialty and executed it professionally. It was a pleasure to watch them work and see how the "pro's " do it. We had inspections on the structural work. As a retired general contractor, I was pleased to watch good work in process and I am very pleased with finished job.

I needed an estimate to have the crawlspace under my house excavated and for the cost of doing repairs to maintain/improve my foundation. Russ Berdeno, the owner of the company, came himself to provide the estimate. He arrived right on time (even a little early!) and went straight to work, managing to get further into my very narrow crawlspace than a home inspector or other foundation company estimators had gotten. He was extremely knowledgeable and graciously educated me about the type of foundation i had and it's parts, and suggested what kind of maintenance it might need. He seemed extremely honest, telling me why he thought some repairs that could be done if i had unlimited funds were unnecessary and what he would do if it were his own house. it was refreshing to meet a contractor who wasn't trying to over- or up-sell but rather who told me what was practical, beneficial, and economical without doing wasteful repairs. within a couple of days i received a written estimate via email with a summary of what we discussed and competitive pricing. if you're thinking of doing foundation work, definitely have RAD construction bid on your project!

Their quoted price was about $9,600 but I decided not to do the job right now. A really sweet man named William came out, took a lot of time and explained everything in detail, including reading my engineering report and then telling me about it. William called me right back after my initial call. We set the time and date for him to come out; they were very fast, so their responsiveness was excellent.

I first contacted Diana at RAD construction and set up an appointment with Russ the President and Owner of the company. Russ arrived as scheduled, surveyed the house and answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. He said he would have an estimate by next week. I received it within 5 days. Work started with the cement cutters performing perimeter cuts. I had a few concerns about what they were doing, but wasn't able to call RAD until after office hours, however, Diana called me back, and explained what they were doing and the process they had to go through. The next day all the concrete was removed and area dug out. Manny was the foreman of the job, answered questions, and kept me updated on their progress. In the next few days all steel was laid, concrete was poured and epoxy was applied to cracks in the kitchen and bath. I was thoroughly impressed with RAD Construction. From Russ and Diana to Clayton and Manny, their professionalism, knowledge, and workmanship was top notch. They arrived at appointments on time, returned calls, kept me posted on work and answered all my questions. I am pleased to recommend them.

The company was very professional and did the work in the amount of time they estimated. Most of the work was done when I was not home (I was a work). I had a few occasions to talk to people in the office and they were very pleasant and helpful. Over all a very good experience.

Russ Bordeno, the company's owner is punctual and professional and thorough. On top of that he is helpful and wants his customers to be happy with the results. His foremen for his crews are equally professional and helpful. We have been very pleased with the experience. We thought we would only need the cracks repaired and were shocked by the cost of the project. But even though it was more money that we had budgeted, we still think it was a good price. We have hired Russ to install drainage and gutters. We also plan to hire him to replace our driveway. So will await the completion of those jobs to review.

These guys were great. We have a 65 year old house, and the foundation needed some maintenance. They fixed everything that was out of alignment and took care of 2 cracks that had started to form. The work they performed will extend the life of the current foundation by at least another 20-30 years. Great job, great work, great price, great team!

We had several contractors to the house for estimates and Russ with RAD was the ONLY one that got under the house to see what was really going on. He spent over an hour inspecting the foundation. His bid came in at about mid-range from all the estimates. Despite not being the lowest, we still went with RAD because we just knew after talking to Russ that this guy was 1) legit, 2) honest, 3) was an expert in his field, and 4) had integrity. We also concluded that the lower bids simply would have applied band-aids to our foundation and we'd likely be having to do something to it again in some 10 years or so. My husband and I are confident we won't have to do a thing to this foundation for the entire time of our ownership. We doubt any owners over the next hundred years will have to worry about this P*** foundation either! We love RAD. I also love the project manager that Russ assigned to our job and all the guys that reported to him. They are all a stand-up group of contractors who take real pride in their work and doing it the right way. Thanks, Russ, Diana, and the rest of the RAD crew.

Russ Burdeno was extremely professional. All aspects of this job were explained when he came out for an estimate as well as when the final contract was signed. His foreman, Matt, was also professional and very informative. The crew moved all heavy appliances, etc. from the garage and at the completion moved them back in. They were on time each day and left the sight neat and clean at the end of that day. Matt always explained the plan for the day upon his arrival and kept in touch during the course of the day when a problem arose. RAD came highly recommended by a friend to me. I was impressed upon my first meeting with Russ. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Phone calls were always returned and questions answered. Russ and Matt made this job go quickly and easily for all.

Very well. The crew was very clean.

Everyone at this company is wonderful. I was told that they were booked out for about a month and a half but, if I didn't mind the entire job taking a little longer, guys could come in from another job a portion of the day. They were able to start sooner than I thought and it took about a week to complete the job. Everyone was friendly and they cleaned up after themselves each day. It was an absolute pleasure working with them.
