Joes hardwood floors

They didn't just do the floor, they added new baseboards. They did a nice job. They were very agreeable when I pointed out some things that I thought they could do better. They rectified it right away. They did a little extra to a door that I had installed. He added a strip of wood and improved the appearance quite well. I did think the pricing was a little high. They were punctual and cleaned up. They also gave me a bottle of floor cleaner. I thought that was a nice touch. The young men that were doing the work did a nice job, although they were kinda funny because they were young. I would use them in the future.

Professional, courteous and responsive. They take pride in the work they do. I worked directly with Dustin who is very detail oriented. Very satisfied with services rendered. Would hire again.

After research, and speaking with friends we choose Joes. We got other quotes and feel results were the very best with them to address our wishes. We considered different options in wood that would compliment existing floors in our home. We have a lot of tile and existing hardwood floors Ordered,scheduled and wonderful results. Very considerate and professional team. Found product that our fit our preference of product made in USA I recommend you call them!!

They were very prompt and professional. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The whole process took about three days and were able to come early to accommodate our work schedule. The floors came out beautifully, however, we were a little disappointed that there were a few spots where they got stain on the walls. No big deal; we had some leftover paint that matched, but I would have appreciated if they had taken ownership for messing up the walls instead of leaving it for me to find. They did refinish all of our baseboards and I'm very happy with how they came out.

Very satisfied with the entire process. The price was competitive, the materials were top notch, the crew were friendly and punctual, and the installation process was quick with attention to details. And the new flooring looks beautiful. We've done our research and selected the exact wood floor we wanted. We had a few estimates, and Joe's bid was in the middle. We feel very comfortable with the bidding process and he was also recommended by our general contractor. So we made the decision to go with his team to replace the tile and carpet in the first floor with engineered wood. This turns out to be one of the good decisions we made for our remodeling. The team were very friendly and efficient, worked around our schedule. The quality of the workmanship was impressive, and extra effort was made to modify certain details to our likes, and all our concerns were addressed right away during the process. The crew worked very efficiently and get things done on time. And I have to mention the crew were truly exceptional, all were friendly and worked tirelessly with excellent skill and technical. Moved the furniture around with care, include very heavy frig and treadmill. Cleaned up everyday before leaving. Overall I would highly recommend Joe' and his team for your flooring need.

It went very well. They looked like brand new after it was completed..

Joe's Hardwood Floors did a fantastic job on our beech floors (approximately 450 square feet in our kitchen, entryway, and long hall). We have two big 75 pound Irish setters (at one time we had three) and our floors were badly etched by their nails. Plus we had quite a bit of water damage from a leaking refrigerator along with lots of nicks and dings from wear and tear over the 11 years since the floor was first installed. The floor looked awful and fully expected we would have to replace a large part of it or perhaps even the whole thing, but Joe assured me they could replace the damaged wood and and sand out the rest of the floor and it would look great. Amazingly, it not only sanded out beautifully but honestly it looks like a new floor now. I couldn't be happier with the result. After sanding the floor, some termite damage was discovered on one of the boards and Joe's crew went to a lot of extra effort to find just the right color filler to match the wood and they were able to make it almost perfect. This is a wonderful company and I can't recommend them highly enough. They are professional, very nice to work with, honest, and fair. Great company!!!! Thank you, Joe and crew, for an outstanding job! We are thrilled with our "new" floors.

The job was scheduled for three days - day 1 cleaning, day 2 repair and touch-up in the badly worn and damaged areas, and day 3 the re-coating. The guys showed up on time each day. It turned out that when they cleaning started, the was so little of the original urethane left that they had to clean by hand rather than machine clean to avoid damaging the floor's stain. Also, because the original urethane was so shot, Joe told us they were going to apple two new coats f the Bona Traffic HD urethane, rather than one. Despite those changes on-the-fly, Joe's team was able to complete the work within the three day window, and for the originally quoted price. Our floors look as good again as they did at the time of original installation. Thanks Joe!

As a retired homebuilder I have had my share of good and bad experiences with subcontractors. I can honestly say that the service, quality of workmanship, punctuality and professionalism were as good as I had experienced in 30 years of homebuilding. These guys are the real deal, plain and simple. They repaired and refinished 1500 sq. ft. of flooring in five days.

The whole process went really smooth. Joe and his guys were super nice and kept us informed throughout the process. In preparation of the new floors, we bought felt pads for the bottom of our furniture which we had planned to put on, but Frank and his guys went ahead and did it for us. Some other things they did for us: After removing the carpet in the w/d closet, Joe gave us some material he was looking to get rid of, and just charged us labor for installing it. We have a wood lat wall in our living room that's painted a different color then the rest of our place and they painted the trim the same color as the wall before installing. Our floors look amazing. My wife and I are so happy with the outcome. I would definitely recommend them to other people.

Fantastic. Reached to Joe when another vendor was non-responsive. When he arrived, I was busy and my wife explained what we wanted to do. He was so quick taking measurements that she didn't even realize he had taken them. He looked over the job, explained how he would deal with the uneven floor and other concerns and promised us a quote in the next few days. The job took several days. One day was spent grinding down the high spots in the slab and ensuring it was ready for the floor to be laid. Then they came back and laid the floor and replaced the baseboard. Frank pretty much led the effort and their pride of workmanship was obvious. Where the wood floor transitioned to tile in the bathroom, instead of using a standard transition piece (which I expected), they offered to bevel a piece of hardwood to eliminate a potential trip hazard. As the room is used by grandchildren/toddlers, we said yes. The transition came out absolutely wonderful. You can't even tell there's a bevel unless you get on your hands and knees. Also, the care with which they finished the baseboard was very impressive. We're very happy with the job they did and most importantly, my wife LOVES it. Thank you Joe, Dustin, Frank and the crew!!

Everything was great. I told Joe what I wanted and he implemented my vision seamlessly. I was out of town for half of the week and when his crew encountered water issues they called me to discuss the situation and took care of it. The installers were fantastic and very focused on customer satisfaction. I could not be happier with my new bamboo floor and the professionalism I experienced with Joe's Hardwood.

We had several estimates, prior to choosing Joe's, and we are so glad that we went with them, not the lowest bid, but certainly the best expectation realized. We had existing hardwood floors in all but two areas of our penthouse. It was imperative that the new flooring matched perfectly to provide transition between hallways and rooms. This is a really amazing experience. The quality is unbeatable. The professional, clean, attention to every last detail unmatchable. It was a pleasure having these craftsmen in our home. We appreciated that, after laying the virgin wood, they left it it for a month to "cure" and avoid any expansion problems. before sanding and finishing. At the end of each workday the clean up was impeccable. They even vacuumed their own equipment! They moved furniture, computer/phone equipment etc., and returned everything to working order and rightful place at the end of the job. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR We have just contracted to do another whole home with them.

Every aspect of my contact with Joe's Hardwood Floors was excellent. His crew did a great job and our floor looks better than it has in years. Especially appreciated that they moved furniture and then returned after the floor was dry to put the furniture back in place.

Excellent. I found Joe on Angie's list. I had hard wood installed in my last house on east coast and after moving to San Diego had much reservation about finding the right contractor/installer. So many houses I looked at when I was looking to buy my home had bad installs and I read horror stories of buckling, popping etc. In fact, I almost bought a home until I walked the floor and literally heard popping on all the edges. I went with Joe as hard wood is all they do. He had good reviews and now I can attest I agree with everyone he is truly the best. I had him do the work BEFORE I moved in to my new house. I gave him the key. He and his men were trustworthy, CLEAN, efficient, timely and extremely thorough. They ordered the wood for me, gave me advice, kept me appraised throughout and actually finished early. they also installed new base boards. They fixed 2 holes in my stairs left by the carpet installers and also made sure all the seams from room to room looked great. I have to say they did an AWESOME job. I love my floors. No popping, cracking, buckling. They also provided a great cleaning supplies (included in the job) and that worked out great as I was able to do a quick clean before I moved in - by cleaning I mean just refresh the floors from me walking over them prior to me moving. They removed all debris, left overs, etc. NOTHING was left in my house, garage or driveway to have to move myself (and I truly appreciate this as I was moving from 2 different places and had to do everything myself). He saved me so much time to get rid of all the extras. Anyway, I highly recommend Joe and his team!!

The experience was a pleasure from start to finish. Joe was the consumate professional: he provided a prompt estimate, and scheduled his crew to deliver the new wood to be cured for a few weeks in the house's environment. When his crew arrived to begin work on the floors, they could not have been more effective. They were hardworking, polite, businesslike, and took care to clean up each day. I always knew what to expect in terms of the work to be done each day, and could coordinate my own schedule accordingly. Another point in their favor: two other work crews (closet installers and general contractor) were also present from time to time, and Joe's team coordinated with them to complement their schedules and order of installation. I never had to get in between to mediate anything: joe's team just appeared to effortlessly coordinate their work with others. Joe was not there each day, but he and I and his team were in regular communication, and he regularly appeared to check on progress. The process of deciding on the final stain color was another positive. Joe's color specialist brought several options, and patiently laid down stain samples in several different rooms to ensure the final selection looked good in the brightest room to the darkest. Finally, they took time to talk about floor care, and left me feelng completely satisfied.

Installers arrived on time and at the end of each day they cleaned up their work area. Joe (the owner) would stop by and check on progress and answered any questions. Installation was completed on time and within estimates. Received two bids and they were comparable. Friendly, cooperative, did great work and I would use them again.

Joe came out and bid the job. An estimate was promptly emailed to me. Once we agreed, we settled on a start day. The crew came out, worked professionally and diligently, finished on time, and cleaned up upon completion. The work was fantastic. Other than some very slight color difference in the new boards against the sun-seasoned older boards, one cannot tell a repair was made. I highly recommend this company. They really know what they are doing.!

Very happy would be an understatement with our brand new hard wood floors! We love them! Thank you Joe, Jesse and Jason! Our neighbors and other contractors all said what a great job was done. I interviewed 7 flooring contractors prior to making my selection. Our home is a 1912 craftsman bungalow with the original floors and we were looking to restore the home to it's glory days. We tried to save them (the floors) but no one except one person said that they could be saved. I selected Joe because of his experience with installing hard wood floors in old homes. Joe knew right away which direction the subfloor was going when he walked in. Having said that, floors are usually installed on top of one another perpendicularly. I did not wantr to change the direction of my wood floors because if I did, it would make the rooms look smaller. I could not say the same for the other contractors/sales I interviewed. I actually crawled underneath my house to see if he was right-- he was. Only one other contractor I interviewed had the same experience and was very competitive in price, but Joe was still $500 cheaper and he also used commercial grade polyurethane to finish the floors with. We have three dogs and tossed in the commercial grade polyurethane included in his bid-- it became a no brainer. Joe was also very informative in regards to our stain selection given that we have three dogs and a four year old boy. We went with Chestnut and it's beautiful. I would definitely recommend Joe's flooring because of the quality, knowledge, professionalism, and pricing. They do not have a show room and they can be very competitive without that overhead.

We had a wonderful experience working with Joe's Hardwood Floors. Joe was such a pleasure to work with. He was knowledgable and patient, helping us to pick the right wood that fit our style, needs and budget. He was very responsive and professional. At the last minute I decided to add another bedroom and it was no problem at all. Joe's crew was respectful, prompt and very friendly. While they were pulling out the tile in the dining room they found some moisture under the tile. They took the necessary steps to make sure we wouldn't have any long term problems. I almost forgot to mention the reason why Joe stands out from all the flooring companies. He offers a lifetime warranty on the floors! Nobody else does that. He also teaches you how to properly care for you floors after the install. Not only are they excellent at installing floors but the customer service is excellent too. I would not hesitate to hire Joe's Hardwood Flooring again. Highly recommended!

We contracted Joe?s Hardwood to refinish 1,026 square feet of Brazilian cherry flooring in our home in March 2014. Joe was quick to respond to our inquiry and provided a timely and fair quote. Joe?s team was great. They showed us different samples of what our floor would look like with different stains. They were professional, knowledgeable and shared their opinions, which we appreciated. The crew arrived on time, kept things very clean and didn?t leave anything behind. Work was completed in the time frame given, within the estimate given and we were happy with the results. They came back to touch up a few spots that had bubbled from the excessive heat where the sun had been beating down after the job was completed and were willing to work with us until we were happy. Very much appreciated. The floors look beautiful again. We highly recommended Joe and his company.

The work was completely first-rate. They came when they said they would and did the work carefully and professionally. The final product looks great.

I found Joes Hardwood Floors after looking through Angie's list for floor repairmen. I emailed 3 different companies via Angie's list. Joe was the first to respond out of the three. Another company was no longer doing repairs and the third never responded. Joe called me and I explained that there was a 3' x 12' area in our daughters bedroom where the newly installed hardwood floor was creaking and felt like it was no longer glued to the concrete. We set up a date a few days from that phone call and Joe showed up promptly at the agreed upon time. He assessed the situation and determined that the floor indeed had lifted and needed to be redone in that one section. I asked if he could look around the rest of the house to see if there were any other areas of concern and he gladly did so. Before leaving, Joe gave his suggestion on how to go about talking to our original installers so that we could get the floor repaired in a cost effective manner. This consultation was free. About a month later, after having some scheduling issues with our original installers, I called Joe back to see if he could do the repair work in the time frame that we were looking to have this done by. He accommodated the time frame and a date was set. I asked for a rough estimate on the price and Joe said it would not take longer than 8 hours to complete the work and his rate was $120/hr. He said if the work did take longer than 8 hours he would not be charging us because his guys should be able to do the work well within the 8 hours. We discussed details and agreed that we would supply the new floors and glue, although they could have supplied it as well. On the morning of the repair, Joe's installers arrived exactly on time and were very courteous and friendly. They put down protective covering on our floors and got to work promptly removing the damaged floor. They showed us what was happening with our floors and discussed with us possible reasons for the problem. They were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer our lengthy questions and concerns for the rest of our floors. The installers worked very quickly but thoroughly as well. After taking up the floor, they had to grind and prep the floor for the next days install. I was nervous about the mess that results from grinding, but they we're fastidious about keeping everything contained and clean. The next day they arrived promptly again and started right away with laying the new flooring. When they were finished they cleaned up the entire area, answered more questions from us and let us know they would return the next day to remove the weighted buckets that they put on the new floor. In total the job took 6 hours. As promised, Joe and Dustin (who supervised the job) came by to remove the weights and inspect the job. They found one area that had not completely adhered and said they would be back to fix that small problem whenever we wanted them to do it. We still have not called for that because we are taking time to identify other areas in our house where the floors will need some small injections. We cannot say enough good things about Joe's Hardwood Floors! From start to finish they were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, patient and hard working. After talking to Joe at length, we understand the importance of proper PREP!!! It is worth the money and peace of mind to spend extra on proper prep work! We now know that in our three bedrooms our original hardwood installers did not properly prep the area. We are now left crossing our fingers that those rooms do not lift like this area did. However we are so glad we found Joe's Hardwood Floors-we will DEFINITELY be using them if any further problems arise.
