Renewal by Andersen of Orange County

This company is fantastic. They kept me informed from the day I purchased of the install. The guys that came to do the install were so professional. Thank you Pedro, Jimmy, Jose and Jorge. Class act group of guys. They seem to really love their job. Easy to talk to and went out of their way to put all of the blinds/curtains back, rehung a mirror, etc. Absolutely FANTASTIC!!

It turned out perfectly. The rep was very professional and not pushy at all. Very efficient and nice and clean. It was a lot of fun.

The service was great. They were on time. They did what they said what they're going to do. There's a little bit of a problem with the door and inspected it right and the technician recorded it with the installation process. They took care of the problem.

Matt, the design consultant that initially came out, knew the product and what was involved in installing it. He also had information on what was required by city code. They were able to provide a wide choice of doors and hardware. We had an idea of what we wanted in mind and were easily able to find what we wanted. The crew worked very well together and moved room to room completely removing the door jam and then installing the new jam and door. The crew cleaned up the job site and removed all the old doors. The paint crew came in a couple of days later and did a fantastic job painting the jam and touching up everything. We had one issue with a door closing correctly and they quickly sent out a technician who fixed it. The doors look fantastic and all work very smoothly. It is amazing what upgrading interior doors can do to improve the overall look and feel of a house.

Should have been smart enough to realize what was going to happen since required my wife to be there. I told the sales person that I had all the window measurements and I just wanted a quote. They said it was important that the rep make the measurements himself and it would take 60 to 90 minutes. Well that was not accurate; his measurements were rounded off and if we had bought the windows someone else was going to come by to do the actual measurements. So a waste of everyone's time. Took 3 hours and we did learn some new info and that was good. But $53,000 for 13 windows??? Then there was the sales pressure.. agree today and 23.5% reduction on price. Sounds like a timeshare presentation, not what I expect from a reputable company. Seems they don't want me to comparing other windows and installers. Now I'm sure they would do a great job but for that large a mark up I expect them to do good work.

From the initial consultation, my husband and I were very impressed. We were kept informed with every detail of the process. The quality of work is amazing. We were very happy with renewal by Anderson. They were late to do the install, but they did call to let us know a few hours ahead of time, so my husband and I were able to rearrange our schedules to be there to sign off.

Installation took two days as scheduled. Installation quality was very high. Finish, caulking and all detail was very neat and uniform and blended seamlessly with my current openings. I am very pleased with the overall completed project. The process from sales to installation was all very smooth. The windows are a real noticable improvement in appearance, sound and energy efficiency. I considered these a higher price option amongst other window companies and fealt like I received good value. The only small surprise was that the installation and framing took up more of the former glass space than I was expecting but still very satified with the finished product.

Not cheap but a quality job with great service

Dial One refused to come to my home unless my wife and I were present. This does not work for our schedule. Being dictated to by a company where I AM PAYING for services is ridiculous.

Ladies if you want to be treated as a second class citizen then by all means call this company. You will not be able to get them to come out and give you an estimate unless "all property owners" are present. I told them I am the decision maker since my husband does not want to be involved with the project; I would handle all the decision making as I have done for all other remodeling projects. I was then transferred to a supervisor that told me the same thing. I asked if this had to do with being a woman since clearly it does. I am guessing that if a man would have called in they would not have gotten this treatment nor would they have been questioned. In a nutshell, I was told that all property owners need to be present and that the reason is that there are many decisions to make. Is the implication then that I am not capable of decision making? Legally speaking I am a property owner and I am entitled to approve anything that is being done to the property unilaterally. I also am the one to make the payments and do not need my husband?s approval either. I am also a real estate and legal professional. I do not need my husband's permission to make decisions about the property; in fact due to my profession he leaves all that decision making to me. I should not even have to explain this to anyone. I have already conferred with my husband as to what we want. I do not need a salesman dictating that to me. My husband was appalled by this treatment as well. This company is clearly in the Stone Age when it comes to customer service. Too bad that this policy soils the reputation that Anderson has worked to uphold. I also received a call of apology from the supervisor again to further explain the policy and why it is necessary. Among the reasons is that I was told that each of the windows run from 1200-1400 each and are custom made. Is this a further connotation that I am not able to make a unilateral decision about property and money. I was then told that if I am certain that I am the decision maker then they would consider making the appointment. Wrong again, I will not beg anyone to take my money and will refuse to do business with Anderson by Renewal after their terrible and insulting policies and I told them this. If they are concerned about cancellation this should be written in their service contract instead they choose to insult their customers and uphold policies that smack of discrimination. I am sure if Angie from Angie's List would have gotten this treatment she would not have allowed this listing.

He was very willing to work with me on scheduling the work for two different days. I felt that the quote was reasonable. I liked the fact that he did not use high pressure sales techniques.

Initially it went well. Doors and hardware looked good and the salesman Tim was personable and reasonably professional. When it came to the estimate phase, it went downhill fast. A first estimate came it at about $6200 that was guaranteed for one year. Then there was the 30 day estimate for $5600 and finally the "good for today" of $4700. No breakdown of parts or labor just numbers written on a yellow estimate sheet. Someone needs to explain to me why there are three estimates for the identical work all given at the same time? Talk about sales pressure! I didn't just fall off the turnip truck and have been exposed to different sales tactics before, but this is the worst I have seen in a while. Needless to say, I didn't take the bait and will go with another company. I would not use these guys ever!

Dial One did a terrific job of replacing our old windows. We expected a much dirtier job to replace so many windows. The whole side of our house is windows. But Pedro and his crew of 2 men replaced 7 windows and 2 sliders in one long day. They were very neat and covered furniture and our new wood floors. They worked continually barely breaking for lunch. They were polite and finished each window casing with a lot of care. The windows are gorgeous and so easy to open and close. The new windows just set off our view beautifully. It's like living in a new home. Dial One Renewal by Andersen is not the cheapest window around but they are extremely high quality. We did not like the look of the vinyl window. They may be cheaper but they look cheaper. Andersen's window looks like real painted wood frames, much neater. There are no ugly seams. We worked with Tim who was very friendly and attentive to our needs. He did go through a lengthy sales pitch which wasn't really necessary once we saw the windows and got the price. Michael came to measure the openings and he is a highly professional builder despite his young years. He did a great job because when the windows came, they fit like a glove. We were referred by a neighbor and she got a referral fee for recommending the company. We'd like to get one too and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the company to friends. We just wish we could've afforded to replace all of our windows. We may do some more over time. This was by far the most valuable money we have spent on our home as it has done the most to show off it's best feature--the view.

Very professional all the way. The Sales Rep Tim was top notch in his knowledge, ideas and follow through. They came and measured, ordered the window, called to schedule the appointment for the installation, showed up on time and did the work neatly and as promised. We opted for a "stucco break out" to match an existing window above and the stucco replacement/repair is virtually unnoticable from the texture on the rest of the wall. In a world of shady fly-by-night contractors (and I've met a few) It's nice to know there are still a few honest operators out there. They may not be the cheapest option out there, but the end result was worth the expense.

Outstanding service and first rate workmanship. Only complaint which is not really a complaint is that the crew worked until 8:00pm which interrupted a planned get together with neighbors. Crew was totally professional!

The windows seemed to be good quality.

I thought the price was reasonable. They did what they said they were going to do and their workmanship was outstanding. Their people are well trained and they know what they were doing.

We went to the showroom and received a tour of the sample installations which they have on the showroom floor. We learned the difference between regular windows and high quality Anderson windows. We went ahead with the rather large project. The salesman came out and measured the windows making a detailed list of all that needed replacing. He did not make any mistakes in the invoice. We scheduled the work to be done. When the day came to install, we were introduced to the workmen who were themselves very courteous. They neatly removed and replaced all of the windows and the upstairs doors in three days time. There was no need to re-stucco or to repaint. The moved what needed to be moved and did not make a mess or annoy the neighbors. Our windows are beautiful and a great improvement.

We could not have been more impressed with this window/doors experience. We started by visiting the company's showroom in Laguna Niguel and booked an appointment with their salesman, Tim. He was very professional and not high pressure. The Anderson windows they sell were what we had researched and wanted so we knew they would be more expensive than many of the others you see around. We have learned over the years that you really do get what you pay for. After we committed to buying these windows, the owner, Charlie, came to do final measurements and was also easy to deal with. We added the two doors to our order and he promised to make the front door match the style and color of our previous door, something that was important to us. After the order period we dealt with Lauren who always called to confirm installation appointments and they were always kept. We never had to wonder what was happening as Lauren always kept us appraised of timing and payment schedules. One of the things we had been cautioned about by research we read was the ability of the installers. We couldn't have been more impressed by Omar and Bernardo who did all of our installation. They are factory trained and it shows. If we ever had any concerns, they took care of them without being reminded even once. The windows and doors are terrific and, by the way, the new front door matches perfectly down to the paint they matched for us. We cannot recommend Dial One any more highly!

Brilliant experience overall!

They're really wonderful...I really like them a lot so far based on the service experience with getting the estimate from them. A lot of people use them down in this area. I think their pricing is pretty good.

1. Visited showroom. Helpful knowledgeable salespeople. Zero pressure. Took our time. All questions were answered.2. Estimators came to our house, examined and measured everthing, answered all questions.3. Firm bid was delivered on time, final questions answered. Installation date was set.4. Professional work crew arrived on time, knew what they were doing, removed old windows, installed new ones, sealed and touched up any final marks. A thoroughly courteous, competent, professional bunch.5. Beautifully thorough cleanup afterwards. I could scarcely believe the attention paid to detail.6. Zero deviation from price, schedule, product and installation. Yeah, they were a little pricey, but well worth it! Not mony things in life go that smoothly.

They are a very good company. The service was very good and the product is great. They were extremely thorough and we are very satisfied.

They were very professional and there was nothing I disliked.
