Description of Work: We hired Joe for a roof inspection that took place on November 10. The basic purpose was to determine if we could get through the El Nino winter. The flat, black roof is roughly 66' x 25' on top of a 2 ½ story building. | |He arrived on time. We told him that a new roof had been installed on this 90-year-old home 17 years ago. After inspecting the premises, he clambered up the ladder and went to work. While on the roof he cleared all the debris, found the gutters clear, took 17 pictures and noted that the chimney cap needed replacing. | |He came down after ½+ hours, reported his physical findings and said that the roof should last through the winter. He also recommended a number of steps that he believed would extend the life of the roof some 8-10 years. The next day I received the 17 pics by email and a contract for further work, to which we further agreed. | | Joe Freeman impressed us. He exuded competence, honesty and enjoyment in his profession. We look forward working with him further.

Description of Work: I called Freeman Roofing and talked to Joe Freeman, owner, asking for an estimate on four flat roofs on my English Tudor home. Joe came out and viewed the job site and said he would send me an estimate by email. He did say that he had a similar job already planned in Oakland and there was a good possibility he could do the job at the same time. He said I needed to get back to him as soon as possible if I was interested in getting the job done within a week or two as opposed to going on his usual waiting list. After waiting two or three days for the estimate which was suppose to be emailed to me, I contacted and asked for the estimate so I could hopefully get in with the job in Oakland. When I received the estimate I emailed him back with a clarification on a couple of the points with the estimate. Within a day or so he got back to me answering my inquiries. I let him know right away that I was ready to go and he responded by saying I waited too long and he had received a few new signed contracts and now couldn't do my job until March or April of 2016. I was shocked since I responded immediately and the time he gave me in March or April was ridiculous. I contacted Home Advisors and asked for a referral to do my work. Within a half hour or so I received a short list of roofers, one of whom I contacted. This new roofer came out the same day and measured the job to be done, sent me an estimate by email the next morning and within a few minutes had a deal. This new roofer, has scheduled the work to start on this Saturday, four days after we met for measurements. This new roofer, Ramon Garcia Roofing, has a very good rating, has eight men working for him, was very busy but made time for our job by starting on the weekend. His bid was very professional, detailed and was fairly priced and I look forward to working with his company.

Description of Work: He made some very minor repairs at no cost and will honor the additional $100 off of "future" repairs if I have the need to call him back. A very nice experience overall.

Description of Work: Roofer said he does not work in SF. That should not have happened based on my zip code.

Description of Work: After I purchased the voucher, the company sent me a quick message indicating that they are not available to perform the service for 3-1/2 months (!). They suggested that I go with another contractor, so that's what I'm doing. Although I appreciate the notice, if they are that backed up, shouldn't they at least stop making the voucher available for purchase to save potential customers the hassle of getting a refund after being informed of the backlog? Are there that many people willing to wait over 3 months for a roof inspection/maintenance?

Description of Work: He was supposed to seal cracks around pipes and vents on rood...he did not have enough cones to put on first so promised to come back. Sent him a follow up email and he did not respond. The sun room he just said incompatible material put on to seal but he did not remove and seal with the right thing

Description of Work: Provider performed according to agreement to inspect and minor repair, he also provided photos of roof condition + estimate. Estimate for replacement is out of reach, but it tells me it's time to reroof. Am actively looking to reroof before the next Winter comes.

Description of Work: I have only received a site inspection and a quote. Bob was very informative about roofing. It was really helpful. He explained that the shingles in my house were no longer available. He identified some possibilities for shingle alternatives. He clearly explained then process of shingling a house. He identified the process for getting the work project complete. He gave me a high and low verbal estimate. He was honest about the possible problems. He spoke in simple terms. He will provide a written report of a small fee. I was impressed and pleased with the service he provided.

Description of Work: Remove old torch down roof, repair substructure and replace with new

Description of Work: Rain leaking into house where patio covered adjoined house. (Leak was due to faulty installation of patio cover by another company who were unsuccessful in repairing damage after several attempts. Water leaking into house was the "last straw.") Call Freeman roofing who assessed damage nearly immediately and covered roof during rainstorm. Within 2 days (when rain subsided) the roof was fixed.
