The technician arrived 10 minutes early, and quickly determined why my AC fan had stopped.

My a/c wasn't cooling well, it was blowing warm air. The technician was professional and explained all my options. I could replace my 17 year old system or I could do a repair. I decided to have the repair done which bought me some time and perhaps I will replace the a/c next spring. I have used McLay several times in the past 15 years and they have always been honest and reliable and I am pleased with their service.

I bought a coupon offer through Angieslist and almost immediately received an email from the company asking what days I would like the appointment. They offered me a choice of 3 different appointment days and times. I chose one by email. On the day of the appointment, Marty came out to our home. He checked the temperature at the vents, the wires of the air conditioner, changed the filter, and he cleaned the outside unit with a hose. Marty was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. .At the end, we discovered that I had misunderstood the coupon offer. I thought it was for maintenance, but it was actually toward a service call for repair. I explained to them that I had misunderstood the offer and they very kindly honored my coupon for the entire cost of the maintenance, which would have been almost twice as much money. I feel they went way beyond what was required in accommodating me and I truly appreciate it. I would definitely use them again and also recommend them to others.

Alan arrived at 5pm (I thought the person who took my call said he would show up between 3 to 4pm) and finished the job in 2 hours. He did a great job in finding the leak in the coil and then welding it closed. He added the R-22 and monitored it until the AC system was functioning properly (i.e cold air was flowing).

I contacted the company for an appointment on getting a quote for an entire heating and AC system. Although, the woman on the phone was very friendly and called me back to confirm the appointment time, no one showed up. Updated 7/13/14 I think its ridiculous that the owner posted this response and we did speak on the phone and he asked me to reconsider getting a quote from this company or updating my review. I told him that whatever note he had about rescheduling did not happen. I took time off work to be home for the window of time that his office confirmed. I was unwilling to reschedule after this. I did not mistake this company for another and I was home during the appointment time. McClay did not show up.

The technician was very prompt and polite. He had to go out and buy the part, but returned quickly and the work was done promptly. Everything is working fine so far. He answered all of my questions regarding the part and pricing.

It went very well. I appreciate the service and learned that McLay also provide plumbing service as well, which I will be using in the very near future to repair faucets drips. The service man was very accommodating and explained everything he was doing and showed me what he was doing.

They are very good. They are very reliable, their price is very reasonable and they are pretty much as they scheduled time-wise. They are pretty much on time and when they are running late they always call. We've been using them for quite a few years now.

advised us that the ducts were properly assembled but that they were very old and they recommended they they be replaced with new product.

1st plumbers to give us a quote were "Payless." They quoted an absurd price of $ 400. We declined. Called McLay who we have used in the past and they gave us a eta of 5pm. We were surprised when the plumber called to say they he could come earlier. He arrived within the hour, gave us a very good price, and did the work. Alan the technician did beautiful work. Cleaned up afterwards and explained everything clearly. Very professional and very honest. He was respectful, and friendly. This is an excellent company. They are family owned, and the plumbers/technicians are not on commission and do not inflate the estimates. In my opinion there is no reason to ever use anyone else. Thanx Alan, nice job.

Called on 6/9, and the service tech was at my resident on the same day. He was able to quickly identify the problem and fixed it. The required part is pretty expensive. Overall, the experience is very positive. Technician was punctual and courteous. The reception who answered my phone was nice and pleasant to talk to.

I like that they were on time. They called ahead, and they showed me the work they had done. They did what I wanted them to do. Price-wise, plumbing is expensive so I guess their price was comparable.

Office mix up, delayed receipt of estimate. For reasons unrelated to the estimate, we decided not to do an air conditioning job at this time.

Archie, Allen, and Chad were all great. On the first visit, Allen came to replace our 1-piece Costco toilet that would not stop running. Archie was also here (on the dot at 10 a.m.) for our appt to provide estimate for upgrading our HVAC and water heater. Archie was very patient and gave us a lot of details on how the job would go, including where they would put the new furnace in our attic crawl space. He was here for over an hour explaining everything and even gave us a referral to a landscaping contractor at our request. He even helped Allen load the old toilet onto our car for return back to Costco because I'm too small to lift it and my husband can't lift by himself. They didn't have to help us load the toilet, but went out of their way to do it. Above & beyond service. Chad was equally friendly and professional on the second visit (he had to come back as we encountered some leakage with shut off valve and at the pipe connection). He was in and out in 30 mins and even explained all the different toilet parts to me so I would know what to make of all the toilet sounds next time around (running, squeaking, etc.). No plumber has ever taken the time to explain an installed part to us before, and it'll help us determine which part is broken (if it does!) the next time. These guys are truly professionals. We're keeping their contacts close so we can call them for all our future plumbing issues.

Alan came by and looked at my A/C. His company was my second choice. The first company told me my compressor was no longer working and I needed a new A/C, which would have cost me $4000.00 plus. Alan had to rewired everything because the first company took everything apart and fount out I only needed fuses. Alan was extremely pleasant.

Came on time and did the work. Heater works fine now.

I have worked with this company twice in the last 6 months for plumbing issues in our new home that we purchased last June. Mike and Chad are the two plumbers that came out for the services and their professionalism was outstanding. They were both incredibly patient and talked me through their work. I'm planning to call my McLay for my heating and air conditioning in the future. Great company!

We had the gas disconnected in order to have our home tented for termites. When the gas company came to reconnect the gas they "red tagged" the water heater for faulty installation and told us we would have to have a plumber correct the problem before it could be reconnected. A representative from McLay Plumbing came to correct the installation of the water heater. He was on time, professional and completed the job quickly.

The plumber was knowledgeable, professional & pleasant to work with.

I felt he was very curious. He did want I told him what I felt was the trouble I was having with my furnace. He told me what he thought I should do if I had any problems with the furnace again. All though the cause I was having at the time was my changing the thermostat temperature to often. Recommended either rebuild it or get a new one. I was told the same thing four years ago when I had a part replaced. I felt he was very honest with me. There was no pressure as what I should do right now, but when I need to do either of the suggestion he made to give them a call. I would recommend this company to anyone. Which means a lot to me.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine; it went well. I guess they billed me incorrectly because I got a call the next day after they did the service and they said they had overcharged me so they sent me a rebate check back.

Everything went well, and continues to do so. We have used McLays services for over 25 years. In that time we have never had a reason to complain about any of the various services done by McLays. We have found all their workmen to be knowledgeable, prompt and trustworthy. McLay Services have even helped us with an emergency on a Sunday and without addition fees. McLay Services has provided us with A+ quality services that have held up throughout the 27 years we have been in our home.

The McLay's employee changed the filters in our three furnaces and cleaned the areas well.
