The technician came and evaluated our problem which we thought was heating and air conditioning but we were told that the heating was very good but some part went out on the air conditioning unit. He was honest and took the time to explain what we did not need and made sure we paid for only what was wrong with the unit. We are signing up for the preventive maintenance program. Sorry I can't remember the nice man's name but he was wonderful.

cLay Services was responsive, timely, and competitively priced. We are distant owners, and they worked well directly with our tenant. They came when they said they would, and communicated the recommended solution to us. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty controller board (a $600 repair). This was confirmed by another estimate we got, and definitely a much preferred solution to another company's evaluation that we needed to replace the entire system for a cost of $8,000 - $10,000. We gave McLay an A for Quality, but we've only had 2 months experience with the results of their work, and the failure was a somewhat seasonal problem. But, so far, so good.

Service call went great. They checked the AC, replaced fuses, also checked attic fan, blower, and vents These guys are the best! I've used them 6 times for the old house I bought - I can trust them for a fair price and great service. This is the type of company you call up for small or large projects and trust them to get the work done in a professional manner, timely, with a fair price.

He was polite, helpful, and on time. Explained all the work he did, which was nice.

The plumber, Brian, was on time. He spent close to two hours on the job. I watched him the whole time. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing and was very thorough and conscientious. The cost wasn't cheap, but plumbing work usually isn't cheap, especially if it is done right, as I believe this was.

Alan was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable.

The gentleman arrived during the specified window and went right to work. He understood that we wanted to keep our toilets, but as they both were leaking at the seals, we needed them reset into the floor. He brought everything he needed for the job with him, including wax rings and new bolts. The caulking is particularly nice-looking and neat. He finished in a very timely manner, cleaned every up well and was very pleasant and professional. All in all, a very good experience!

All went well. They have put me on a service contract so I save money, and they come out twice a year to do maintenance on the central air and heating for my house.

We have a leaking water heater which happened on a Saturday morning. We talked to a nice lady named Jaye who was patiently listening to our problem that we urgently needed someone to come out to fix the problem. Jaye tried her best and she was able to send Brian to help out by replacing the water heating in the afternoon. Brian did a good job replacing the water heater and removing the old one. Overall, I am very happy with the service and I will use them again in the future.

was able to get service at the right time after i called several repair places. all could not come out on the Saturday that i needed them except McLay heat and ac. they even had to adjust their schedule to accommodate mine.

Technician arrived at 3pm for schedule service between 3pm - 5pm. I like that! Especially since we were waiting in the house without A/C. He took ~ 10 min to assess issue and determined capacitor required replacement. Replaced and started up system and waiting until cooling. Checked filters and suggested replacement. Completed service in one hour. Said he would provide a quote for a new system as requested, however have not yet received. No sales pitch, no negative comments regarding current system only positive. Knowledgeable and efficient. No complaints, will use again as needed.

Icemaker plumbing upgraded and repaired with new copper line through a wall. Removed a dishwasher hose from a broken dishwasher that was leaking. Turned off the DW valve. The tech was asked to give a bid on replacing our 50 gallon water heater in the garage . Which he did not. We have been loyal customers for over 20 years. The last two service calls have been satisfactory although prices are slightly higher than competing companies. One of their phone representatives is not too enthusiastic about talking to me during the service call. Seemed as though she has a hard day or week or just hates her job. There are lots of competition with plumbing and AC services in my area and we are willing to shop around for better prices and faster customer service, especially for our leaking water heater.

He is a great guy and seems real nice. It is not fixed but it is not his fault. The air conditioner is trash. We are probably going to buy a new one. We had them out like 3 times, and as of today, the air conditioner is officially dead. It is 30 years old, and he made it last a little longer but it wasn't enough. He said he would give us a discount because of all the money we spent, he said he would transfer it to the new one. He is a good guy.

McLay Services provided the annual service on our AC system. Michael did a diagnostic evaluation, added freon, replaced filters in the house, and gave me advice on how how to maintain my system and when to best schedule a heating system check. Michael was friendly and knowledgeable. I have been placed on their schedule to contact me in November to service our heating unit. I will definitely contact them in the future for any AC/Heating problems.

The guy came in and he was here for probably about 45 minutes. Everything was great. He did a good job. The house is cool. Next year I'll call him again because I have a very very very fine Freon leak that no one has been able to find. Rather than spending $2000 finding the Freon leak, I spend $150 or $200 just getting it charged once a year. The guy was very customer focused. He really seemed like he wanted to do a good job. When I went out there I met the owner and he specifically asked to send this guy out to the house. So the owner actually assigned me a guy specifically. They came out when they said they were coming out. He was right on time. The guy was very polite. They did what they said they were going to do in a timely manner. The guy was very concerned and easy to work with. He talked me through the whole thing that he was doing. What I did like about him from the previous guy that I used from Angie's List three years ago, is that he put the Freon tank on a scale and showed me how much Freon he put in rather than just saying, "Oh, that's three pounds." That was very unique. I've never seen that before.

The cost reflects an Angie's Big Deal of $79.50 worth of service for $49.00 which the lady with whom I made the appointment suggested I purchase, saving $30.50. Last year, I got an A/C tune up from a different company with an Angie's coupon for $48.00. This year's tune up cost more, but was worth it because it was more thorough. Alan took electrical readings at various points on both the unit in the garage and the outdoor unit. He changed the filter. He measured the temperature of the air coming out of the registers. He measured the amount of freon in the system and cleaned the fins on the outdoor unit with a nozzle on a garden hose. I was happy with the quality of the work for both the A/C and the plumbing. He made an effort to work as cleanly as possible. He was easy to talk to. I suspect I saved money by getting both A/C work and plumbing work done at the same time as opposed to paying for two service calls. I thought the overall cost was very reasonable.

We contacted McLay Friday afternoon through Angie's List and they replied within hour. Staff responsiveness was excellent. We obtained Monday morning appointment and he arrived early which is great when your drain is clogged! Alan performed the work quickly and professionally. We will definitely use McLay's services in the future and highly recommend them.

Chad was great. Provided a thorough inspection and a great estimate. Tricky part was I have granite countertops. Lowes and Home Depot wouldn't touch the project in fear of cracking my countertop. Cameron was onsite too and they both worked together effortlessly. So nice to get great service (times two)!

It only took a few hours and the service was professional and well done. The serviceman was highly competent and friendly. Since I had purchased the 1956 house less then a year earlier, I had questions about how the automatic sprinkling system worked which he explained to me very well. I plan on using this company for more repairs and upgrades on this home. I would totally hire them for plumbing and HVAC work, and will! Deb

It was a while ago but I do recall that the Administrative staff and the technician were very professional and personable. I would definitely use them again.

The guy that came in was really nice. He checked everything out. The price was normal. He was here on time. There were additional charges beyond the big deal price.
