Description of Work: My a/c system shut on periodically. The part was retrieved and installed within an hour. Alan (service rep) spoke to my warranty service and all aspects of this service was done in a professional and service friendly manner. He also explained what was wrong and showed me the problem.

Description of Work: Plumber very polite, courteous, punctual, professional and considerate. He accessed the water damage and cause, quoted a fair price, and completed the repair promptly. We will certainly use McLay Services again!!

Description of Work: Repaired broken wire to AC compressor that occurred from a bad install (was NOT McClay that did the install) and shielded from same failure in the future. I had to suggest the shielding or he wouldn't have done it. Once I pointed it out, he gladly did it. I downgraded on punctuality but, by the nature of the business, a repair can take longer than expected which is what happened to him that day. Just a phone call to say they'd be late and I would have given an "A" on punctuality. | |For the record I DEFINITELY WILL use them again. The man knew his stuff and had everything he needed on the truck. His truck, BTW, was clean, well stocked, and organized - you can tell a lot by that.

Description of Work: Pumped freon into our a/c system which was extremely low and inserted liquid leak for a possible leak. Everything has been working great since!

Description of Work: Very cursory AC check. Recharge coolant.

Description of Work: Air conditioner repair. Replaced bad capacitor, and installed new 40/3 dual capacitor. Job was complete within 1 hour. Pleased.

Description of Work: I used MCLAY to diagnose why my A/C unit died. The tech first replace a transformer, the new one burned out too. He then replace a relay. That didn't do it. further testing showed that the heat pump was tripping the breaker each time it tried to start. I didn't think any of this was the technician's fault. It was just my old, outdated, unit. He suggested that an electrician. He told me MCLLAY's would set one up to see why the breaker kept tripping. I also asked for a replacement estimate for a good, better, best replacement estimates. Days later, no contact. I called to see what was up. Office personnel told me that they didn't provide electrical services and gave me the number of w electricians that they worked with. I was also told the tech had put in for the estimates I had requested. | |At that point, mostly due to the age of the unit and the fact I had the cash available to replace the unit I had decided to replace it. Still no estimate. This was about 9 days into 100 degree plus temps and high humidity. | |Sorry, not enough space to finish.
