They finished all the work in 2 days. They were very efficient. I was impressed with the high quality of service. I highly recommend McLay.

The service was great. We did have a couple of glitches but it was out of their control. We had to work with a bateman company. They got in touch with the company and had them come out. They cleared out the asbestos and we were going to have the bateman work done that same day. However, that company said they should wait another day. As side from that, everything has worked out well. I have not used the air conditioner but the heating is working great. We have noticed a significant reduction in our energy bill.

They did perfect; they are great. The price was fair. They were very professional and had good follow up.

August 29, 2012 was a very hot day, in fact I believe it was over 100 degrees. My air conditioner suddenly stopped cooling and started making some very scary noises. I called my usual A/C guys and they couldn't respond for two weeks, so I started looking on Angie's List. I called several companies, but they were understandably too busy to respond right away. When I called McLay Services, Inc. they promised to have a technician at my house within two hours. In the meantime, I shut the system down because it was making very loud sounds and not providing any relief from the heat. Todd arrived right on time (if not a little early, thank goodness!) Of course, when we turned the system back on it was not making the noises and was providing some cool air. Nevertheless, Todd did a very thorough check of the system inside the house and out. He checked the filters, air flow and several other items that could be issues. About the time he was starting to explain that it was an older unit and probably just couldn't keep up with this type of heat, the noises started again. Todd shut the unit off and opened it up. He found that a contactor was burnt and no longer working. He replaced the contactor, checked the operation of the A/C unit which was working beautifully and has been working fine ever since. I was impressed by the quick response as well as by Todd's knowledge, skill, professional attitude and obvious pride in his work.

Very courteous and professional esimating process. Chad explained our options provided brochures and provided an estimate in writing in a short amount of time. He also installs as well as estimates. We had worked with McLays before with very satisfying results and so based on our prior experience with them and a very competitive price we scheduled the work for a few days later and the rest is history. We now have the plenty of hot water and the peace of mind that things will work well for years to come. Would highly recommend working with this company and their professional, reliable staff.

Not only did a technician arrive at my house within an hour on a Saturday, but the repair was explained to me in detail, and the pricing was reasonable. The tech was friendly and professional, and I have to say that my experience was exactly as I read in other reviews prior to calling them. And like some of the other reviews have mentioned, the office staff who answer the phone and schedule the appointment were also friendly and helpful. Great experience overall!

We called McClay to look at a condensation leak in our central air conditioning unit which was in the attic. They were the 2nd person we had out to give us an estimate. The first person said we had to replace the condensation pan under the unit because it was corroded and this would cost about $300.00. McClay took a look and said it was only a blocked condensation line which they unclogged. The unit appears to be operating without leaking at the moment. I appreciate the promptness and professionalism demonstrated throughout the repair.

A great overall experience. The call to set the appointment was very pleasant. The young lady that answered the phone needed to put us on hold to check technician availability for a Saturday appt., but she came back on line twice to let us know she was checking (instead of just leaving us on hold wondering what was going on). The appt was set for between 10:00 am and 12:00 PM. I explained we had an event at 1:00 pm and was told the technician would show up early if at all possible. The technician (Mario) showed up at 9:30 :-). He was courteous and professional, and quickly assessed and fixed the problem (fried contactor relay). I only put N/A for price in this review, as I didn't get other quotes. Frankly, the experience was very positive, so the price was a secondary matter.

Alan came by and looked at my A/C. His company was my second opinion. The first company told me my compressor was no longer working and I should get a new unit because of the Feron. This unit was going to cost me $4477.50. Alan had to rewired everything because the first company took everything apart and found out I needed fuses. Alan was extremely pleasant and made me very happy. As soon as I save enough money, I'm planning to have Alan replace my water heater. Thank you Alan.

Did a detailed inspection of the system and made some suggestions/recommendations for future things to be on the lookout for. Also gave details about the vent system previously unknown that were helpful. He was prompt, friendly, professional.

They are good. Their price is about average. I don't think they are overpriced for some of the things that I've had them for. The repairing of toilets is anywhere between $75 and $195. I spent $195 the last time that they were here. I don't really have a contract with them for my heating and cooling, but they come out and check my cooling in May or June and I pay $89 or something like that. Their quality is good and I haven't had any problems with them. Their responsiveness and punctuality is good. They are professional.

In order to make the repairs they needed to find the leak using their various pieces of equipment and that was not an easy task. When they located the problem they determined which option would solve the problem and not be cost prohibitive. With an okay from the insurance company they neatly cut through walls and ceilings made repairs and the system works fine. They were neat and clean. They also made suggestions of contractors to make drywall and stucco repairs. I took their advice and I was happy with the finish work

There was a coupon from Angie’s List. I would recommend them and would use them again in the future.

They are good. We use them annually to do some maintenance. We had them do some work on the inside and outside unit and the attic. They come on time and they do a good job. The price was not cheap but they were reliable. They were on time and they did a good job. They were clean as well. You get what you pay for and sometimes you don’t but we got what we paid for. I had no problem ever with the quality. We had them over about 3-4 times. We had a problem with rodents and they had to go there and repair it. We had a problem with the unit outside and they fixed it with a new part. They are always on time and they are professional. They act professional.

Chad arrived on time, asked a couple of questions and got right to work. No hesitation about what he was to dol Job was completed with total satisfaction. He remmoved an old faucet in a close and difficult position and installed a new one with an air of complete confidence.

We were having our house repainted and were having some issues with the air-conditioning. It turned out like coincidence that the air conditioner stopped working. So they had a guy come out and look at it. There was not necessary but it causing the function so they just disabled whatever it was and everything started working again. Their price was good and reasonable. Their quality was good. They put in some parts and it was working fine when it was done. They were on time.

Their service was good. We did have an issue with billing that was in reference to a previous job they performed. They were on time, efficient, and got the job done. We had no problems.

My overall experience was excellent. They went out there and met with our tenant and they were pretty quick about their work. We were able to handle everything from just by making phone calls. The price was pretty close to what most people were charging. The last time we had to do this was nearly the same amount or $10 more. The quality of work was excellent. The heater is working right now and is not shutting down at all. Before it was shutting down every 5 minutes, it just had to be piloted all the time. Their responsiveness was pretty quick. They had an appointment with us within a day. They were right on time. The office is very professional. I am not sure of the personnel that went in. I believe he was very professional too, because no complaints from my tenant. I would definitely use this company in the future.
