Handyman Unlimited

I had no problems and had good luck with them. They were good and efficient. They were on Angie’s List; that’s how I found them. The fellow was very polite and got the job done in a timely fashion.

He was very efficient. They were out to my place with in a couple days of my initial call, and they were done within 30 minutes.

They were punctual but they were pricey on the installation of the doors and molding. Their response time wasn't really good. We had to call them a couple times before they responded. Their quote didn't include painting.

I had painted a stair rail that needed to be reinstalled in my foyer. I also thought while I had a handyperson there I would see if they would be able to fix a kitchen drawer that a broken off, making it unable to open or close. The guy that came looked at the stair rail and explained what he would do and it sounded reasonable. He also looked at the drawer and indicated it would be a quick fix. He said it would all be done within the hour rate, and he had first time customer "coupon". I agreed and I he went to work. I will say he was nice and efficient. I quickly became uneasy about how he was handling the stair rail. He was "eye balling" everything, not once measuring anything. He was using mismatched bolts and washers, which I asked him to changed out to at least match. I was a little surprised at the way he was drilling the bolts, going straight down rather than flush with the beam and rail. So, the bolts kind of stuck out. He did a couple bolts so quickly and then asked if it was okay. I expressed concern about bolts and he said he couldn't get his drill any other angle. He got them as low as possible. I felt a bit stuck at that point. While the rail is now secure, I shake my head at the way those bolts look. I am trying to figuring out what to do with them. He did get that kitchen drawer fixed and I was happy to have a working, usable drawer again. Another concern I had was that I have had several tradesmen in my home in recent months for various projects. This the first company that didn't clean up after themselves. This guy was blowing the sawdust all over the place after he drilled and also trekked in dirt off his boots. The other companies had their techs wearing paper booties or using blankets in areas where they were going to be repeatedly walking in. They also carried dust busters and/or swept up after themselves. I respect that those folks show respect for my home. While this company did what I asked, the experience wasn't what I expected. I have had to seriously think about whether I would called them again.

The job was done neatly. There were no problems and everything works as expected.

I have not had the work done but it's a recent estimate so I'm still considering it. I have used Handyman Unlimited for other work and was very happy with the work so I definetely will consider using them again for any future needs, they offer very good prices. Their estimates have been lower than other estimates I've gotten.

Robert did a great job. He covered all walls and floors in rooms with plastic including the areas he would be walking on (entry way and hallways). He scraped the popcorn off the first day from all three rooms and came back the next day to apply texture/drywall. I had gotten three different estimates, one of them from another handy man, and Handyman Unlimited was the lowest price. The ceilings look great now. Robert is a great professional to work with and I will definetely use Handyman Unlimited again. I plan on doing the rest of the ceilings in the rest of the house at a later time and will call Handyman Unlimited. Thank you Robert and Handyman Unlimited!

A job very well done! Robert was very professional. He estimated he could complete this project in 4 or 5 days and he finished in 4. He explained the workflow that was most efficient for him but made it quite clear he would modify to suit our family's needs since this job was going to involve many rooms in the house. The wallpaper came off easily only in one room and some of the wall mirrors were really tough to remove but Robert has tons of experience and was not deterred. One mirrored wall section over the fireplace had very rustic wood paneling underneath which I was not happy to discover and Robert installed drywall over it. He cleaned up every day and did an extra cleaning before he left at the end of the last day. I am very pleased with the quality of Robert's work and would not hesitate to recommend him.

The whole job was completely painless from scheduling the initial quote to getting the work done. Tim was an absolute professional and he did an amazing job. We have some other work to do on the house and will definitely be calling Handyman Unlimited again.

I am a senior with MS so I need grab bars which I have in my master bath walk in shower. My older brother visits me quite a bit and showers in the tub bathroom. He mentioned to me that I should have grab bars for the tub area because of stepping over the tub when getting in. I told him I was going to have that done because I use that shower on occasion but I didn't know who to call to deal with the fiberglass. On Apr 25 I went to Angie's List and found Handyman Unlimited. I called them and explained what I wanted and that I wanted the grab bars attached to the studs so they would not pull out of the fiberglass. Roxie said she had a tech in the area she would call him and call me back. In less than 5 minutes she called me back and said Robert was coming now. He showed up, looked at the job and explained in detail how he would do it and gave me an estimate. He took my e-mail address and said Roxie would send me the estimate invoice for approval. I received the invoice within a few hours which I called and approved the job and gave them a deposit with my credit card over the phone and had an appointment for Monday. Robert showed up on time with grab bars and began installation. He found that the studs were farther behind the fiberglass than he originally thought so he had to make a trip to the hardware store to get extra installation hardware. He returned completed the job, pulled his weight on the bars to show me they would hold my weight and they were tight to the studs. He cleaned up and left everything looking great. Robert was very professional. I was very happy with his work. I asked him about what type of jobs do they do and I plan on using Handyman Unlimited for future repairs.

I have used them a few different times. I was always happy with their work.

There was a little mishap by the electrician, but they fixed it right away. So, overall it was really good. I would recommend them.

Rick was incredibly efficient, polite, and professional. I would definitely hire him again for any carpentry work that needed to be done.

First off, I could tell these people were very professional which made me feel better about hiring them. Technician arrived promptly and went to work right away. He troubleshot the problem for over 2-3 hours, I mean he wasn't giving up.He finally found the problem and not only fixed it but upgraded my electrical circuitry. Juan was very thorough and professional. After the job he informed me I was receiving a first-time customer discount.. Wow!. I love this company and highly recommend them. Thanks Angie's List. :)

Called up Handyman Unlimited to schedule an appointment. Scheduling was easy and they sent Don out the next day. He arrived on-time to assess and pipe leak and shut-off valve. We had a pin-hole leak in our galvanized pipe that was seeping up water in our yard. He did an excellent job taking care of the problem. He cut the section of the damaged pipe and threaded a new fitting to gap the section. The work was solid and it permanently stopped the leak. He also changed an old and rusted water shut-off valve with a brand new ball shut-off valve. I am very happy with the work and will use them again in the future for other work.

He was very good. They were on time, very thorough, and great people to work with.

They were very nice. It didn’t take too long to get back with me. He came and did the job and did a great job. I am considering them for a future projects.

Today September 15, 2011 I had scheduled an appointment with this company to come out and complete a drainage project on the my lawn. The owner and the person doing the job had come out a few weeks ago completely reviewed the project and given me a written quote. This is a company that I have been doing business with for over 10 years. However in the last year a few things have changed. The internal office staff is not as sharp as the person he had working for him prior and that is part of the problem. Anyway the appointment for this morning was from 9 to 11 am but probably toward the later side as this person had to finish up the job from yesterday, I said great because later was better for me. The person however showed up at my house at 8:30 am, I said that he would have to come back at 9:15 am or later because my husband was on a conference call and there could be no noise. He did not like this and asked if he could go in the back yard to measure something. I ended the conversation saying I would see him at 9:15 or later. 10:30 am no person for the job no calls, I called the office and they say hasn't the owner talked with you? I say no, the owner called my cell phone by the way we live in an area with bad cell phone reception and I have previously indicated to call me on the house phone. Anyway I called the owner and I listened to the message on my cell phone. The owner says that the person who came out said that I cancelled the job with the person and that the leak is worse than they thought because the grass is wet and will be a different repair. I did not cancel the job and the grass was wet because a sprinkler broke yesterday, it did not effect the job to be done, but since the person did not come back to the front door and ask about the water I had no way of knowing what was going on. When the owner and i spoke he said he would call the person to get him back out. Well of course the person was not available today or tomorrow, so the owner said I could reschedule next week. Now what I did next is the coffin in the nail.. I actually called the office on another job as I was home today, this job was to install and replace some low voltage lights in my backyard, they said someone could come at 2 pm, I said I don't know how long this job will take, she said he'd be here and he was. The problem, the office only scheduled him for 1 and 1/2 hours, so after looking at the job he said he couldn't do it as he had another call he had to go to. Why did the office schedule it and why did they not tell me I only and 1 and 1/2 hours. I would not have made the appointment. So I called the owner who said he would work on it and call me back. No call from the owner, person left without doing the job, I had to call the office to ask why I didn't get a call. So after 10 plus years I'm done. The owner is nice, field guys are good, internal office staff is costing him business and he needs to address that issue, they tell him one thing and the customers another. Be very careful. End result have a party on sunday and nothings fixed. Owner did call me back at 4:59 pm finally but I don't need this much hassle.

Would have liked to have the estimate and install in a faster but am please with the company overall.

He came out in July. It was a great experience. This was the second time I used him. I liked the quality of his work. The gentleman was prompt. He was here when he said he was going to be here. The cost was fairly affordable.

Israel came, fixed the gutters, and moved furniture out (bed, desk & shelves) the first day. All went well. He would fix the corners when he came back to move furniture back. When he returned he moved furniture back and scratched the hall paint. He installed the metal corners, truly ugly. He also gave me a bill for $51.07 for the metal corners which I was to pay him--I did. I did not hear from Dan again about the wall extensions. I decided to just not pursue it any further, but I would not use again nor recommend them. They were polite.

They quoted $800 to do the service, which is excessive. I called another company who quoted me $150.

They did good work, showed up on time, and billed me according to their hourly rate, so I was pleased with that. Overall it was a very good experience.

My husband started a project that didn't go so well so we called them in and they fixed it all. I will use them again in the future.
