Price keeps on escalating. Response time was slower and I would have to call their supervisor. The work was okay but it was sloppy.

I had an appointment for them to come out to give me an estimate on the work that I needed. They never showed up and never called to say they were not coming. I called them the next day and they didn't even know who I was. I had to remind them that they had an scheduled appointment with me the previous day that they missed. Once they found my appointment, they apologized and rescheduled for the next day. The next day, someone was there to give me an estimate. he looked at the work and said that he would contact me with an estimate in a day or two. A few days passed and I called them and once again, I had to remind them who I was. Once they finally found my information, the lady said that it would be about a week before they could give me an estimate. At this point, I was already set to move on and to top it off, they never did call me back with an estimate. I will never call this company again and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. They are very unprofessional, non-caring and very unorganized. This is a buyer beware if you hire them. Well, if you can get them to actually remember who you are that is. LOL

Neutral I would say. I have had 2 experiences with them. The first one never received any feed back, no invoices, no phone calls. The second one was average at best. I did not get any work done. First time I never heard anything back. When they were here very professional. But after they left reaching out to the office, having someone call back, waiting for an estimate, not very good.

I called Handyman Unlimited and Juan ( I think ) came out on 2 -13-17 to look over the job. He seemed unsure about some things so he had his plumber stop by the following day to to look over our set up. We seem to have the original drain pipe and capped off hot and cold water pipes. To make it all work will require moving the connections over and also moving the water heater a bit. Juan said he would work out the costs and send us the estimate via email. The following Monday 2-20-17, I called to see when I should expect the estimate, the lady on the phone said by Tuesday for sure. To date ( today is 3-11-17 ) we have yet to get anything from Handyman Unlimited. As I have been carefully checking both my inbox and my spam, I'm sure they haven't bothered to send anything, so calling them for my job just ended up wasting my time. The place that is holding my washer/dryer has gotten annoyed at my slow progress toward taking my purchase home. I called another handyman service, which is a smaller company, and they got their estimate to me the following day. While it's more cost than I was hoping for; I still think it's an improvement worth doing.

We were satisfied and we would recommend them to others. We liked how they conducted business.

I left a message with Handyman Unlimited after hours, and I received a call right away the next morning. They were actually able to schedule someone out the next day to look at the work and complete an estimate. The day after the visit, I received a call with the estimate and some options for scheduling the work done. Both the person who did the estimate and the work were timely and professional and very personable. The work was done quickly and expertly, and I couldn't be happier. I called a number of other handymen multiple times and never received a response, so I was thrilled with how responsive Handyman Unlimited was. I highly recommend them and was completely satisfied with the results.?Well done!

The quote was pretty detailed. It basically came down to what we were getting for the money so it ended up being the price and the amount of the quote.

The work went very well across the board. When we noticed a finishing step wasn't completed properly I was able to text Tom and he immediately had it corrected. A great option in the La Verne area!

Ok, I have battled back and forth whether or not I was going to write this review. I came on here to check out their other reviews, which I hadn't done since my first job with them. As I read through,I noticed they got a lot of well deserved great reviews. All the bad reviews had a similar theme, and that theme matches with my latest experience with them. The theme? Poor customer service starting with Roxy in the office. I had them do a $4500 job a few months back, and their work was done well, and on time. The owner, Tom, came out to do the bid, and everything went fairly well. I came on here and have them a glowing review. So, when the need arose for us to do some bathtub reglazing, I figured I'd use them again. I called and talked to Roxy, who remembered us from before, after looking us up, and I had a price quickly, and the job got scheduled for 9am on 6/20. Monday came, and the tech showed up about 15 minutes early (a good thing). My wife was wrapping up a shower (not in the bathroom having the work done), so my son ran in and told her someone was at the door. She told him to yell through the door "just a minute" which he did. My wife threw a full robe on and rushed to the door. She apologized and let him in. He walked in, went in the bathroom, said that he was told it was a bathtub only, not a one piece shower and tub, and that he needed to call Roxy to find out how much more it would be. My wife gladly obliged and went in to take a toy or two that was left in the bathtub. After 10 minutes (it's now 9:10), I called her to see how things were going and to find out if they had arrived. She said he was outside talking to Roxy. Then she gasped and told me he was gone. This is where the permanent ruining of their relationship with me began. I got off the phone with my wife and immediately called Roxy. She chastised me instantly for not telling her that my unit was a one piece shower/tub. I apologized, and said I'd be happy to pay whatever the difference would be. She said it would be about $110 more, so I agreed. She said, we'll have to rebook. I didn't like this at all. Then she told me my wife answered the door in a robe and made her tech feel uncomfortable. Then she said the bathtub was full of stuff and had "obviously" just been used (it hadn't). She then said to me, "you guys were clearly not ready for our service today." I'm appalled with this entire conversation, but it then got worse. I said, "Roxy, I'm having professional photos done so that I can list my house." (Which I had told her already). "Can we please send him back to do the job?" She said she'd have to call him because he was already on another job. I looked at my clock: 9:20. She said she'd call me right back. Ten minutes after his scheduled arrival and I'm supposed to believe he's already on another job? No way. To top it off, about an hour later I thought I missed a call from them. I called back and said sorry I missed your call. Roxy again snapped at me very unprofessionally by saying, "I didn't call you. He hasn't called back. Like I told you, I'll call you when he's available." I said ok, hung up, and began searching for a company that works for their customers, not the other way around. Roxy didn't call me back until today, 6/22. I guess her tech was tied up for 2 whole days. She called me and said, "Are we doing your tub or not?" I politely informed her that I was good, and that we were having another company do it. Rather than trying to resolve an issue with a return customer, she said ok and hung up. Then today, I was supposed to have an estimate visit for screens for my windows. I hadn't cancelled. They never showed. I guess she fired me as much as I had fired them. I sincerely hope Tom reads these. I enjoyed my interaction with him very much. I was satisfied with the work. Roxy treated me like I was a burden to her, not an opportunity. I had a laundry list of things I want done at my house before we sell, and I would have been happy to have HU do it all. But this experience was bar none unacceptable. I will happily spend my budget elsewhere.

Thanks to Handyman Unlimited and especially Mike for a job well done. Mike arrived on time and completed the job as scheduled. The grand total came in a little under the estimate. We would use this company again. Dave & Janet

Work exceeded expectations.

The owner of Handyman Unlimited is a charming and charismatic guy. He has good ideas and seems genuinely interested in doing an excellent job. We had used Handyman Unlimited for a laundry list of household repairs on our 70 year old home, and the worker who was sent, Walter, was a great problem-solver and technician. So, we didn't hesitate when the proposal for the bathroom remodel was presented. Great workers, good follow-through and beautiful design ideas. What could go wrong? Well, the company is stretched so thin that the promise that scheduling would be continuous and the entire job would take 2-3 weeks was not possible. We had days when there were workers tripping over each other and days when somebody showed up unannounced and then couldn't do the work that he was scheduled to do. We had problems with materials; we went to the vendors where the owner sent us to pick out fixtures and tile and then he didn't place the orders until the demo was started, only to find out that there were delays on the floor tile, delays on the faucet set. The electrician picked up the materials, dropped them off without checking the cartons and when he came back to do the installation, there were parts wrong or missing. Some of the tradesmen were brilliant: Robert, who does dry wall, Moses, who does tile work -- so skilled, so caring, really great to have them in the house. Some -- not so much. The painting subcontractor sent a team of painters who were obviously being paid by the hour, not the job. They were also obviously being charged for materials; they didn't want to lay plastic down to cover the stairs and there was a lot of screaming on a cellphone about, I think, quantity of paint. They spent over 9 hours painting a bathroom area that should have taken much less time. The plumber was in completely over his head. The house was 70 years old when Tom came and bid the job and it was 70 years old when the plumber showed up. The plumbing was 70 years old. Still is. And yet the plumber didn't seem to be able to solve any of the problems that came up. He installed the new whirlpool tub, filled it with water and then discovered that the drain was blocked. He bailed the tub out and left. We never saw him again. Good thing we had a really competent plumber who has worked in this house for years; he came over and solved the problem. I would never have believed that Handyman Unlimited was responsible for the charges to clear that drain no matter who cleared it. But to just leave with the problem unresolved and then to not hear from the company first thing the next morning was inappropriate. Like I said, the owner is charming and charismatic. However, until he finds more tradesmen, and better plumbers to send to your remodel job, I would look for somebody else. Having said all that, the bathroom is GORGEOUS! The 2-3 week job took 8 1/2 weeks. Don't know if that would be considered normal for a remodel, but we didn't move walls, we just put in a new tub and new tile. Maybe it was so disruptive because this is the en suite bathroom in our master bedroom, so the construction zone was our bedroom.

I had called initially for a quote to have some painting done. I was told I would get a call back and never did. I called back and was told they had forgot. I figured I would give it another shot and asked for someone to come out to do some electrical work. I had an appointment scheduled for 3:00 pm. The day of the appointment at 3:09 I received a phone call stating the person who was supposed to come out to give me a quote was stuck on a job and would not make it out that day. I was told they could schedule me for later in the week. I kindly declined since I needed to get this done right away not when they decided to get there act together. I was surprised at this response since they had good reviews.

I was contacted promptly by Roxie who is great to work with. She got my jobs scheduled at my convenience and the appointments went without a hitch. Juan Delatorre handled all of the work except the back door/door jamb replacement. He is awesome! Super pleasant personality and knows his stuff! I was equally impressed with Tim Smith who specializes in doors and windows. Very professional and a very nice man to boot! I will definitely use this company again! I couldn't be more pleased to recommend them. I contacted another handyman who I found on Angie's list and the experience was awful. He made me feel like my jobs were unimportant, and at a point, stopped returning my calls. This company completely restored my faith and made me feel like a valued customer!

We had three old under mounted sinks that were rusting. After looking for replacements with no luck we called Handyman Unlimited. Walter said he could replace the sinks with ones that would fit right on top and provided a price. We made an appointment several weeks later and Walter arrived on time with sinks in hand. They went in perfectly. Walter was quick, friendly and professional. The total was a little less then originally quoted. We also had Walter install a box for a ceiling fan in the past which was also done to our liking.

We scheduled an appointment on 7/20/15 for 1 pm on 7/22/15. No one showed up and no one called. I called to follow up and the lady said they were too busy. They wasted my whole week and our day and I had to cancel a doctor appointment. Will never use them. They seem irresponsible.

Went well. Walter performed installation to satisfaction, kept us informed on changes and progress during the job.

The price was a bit high but otherwise it was fine.

Tom, the owner, is extremely professional. He has done work for me before (backyard gate and concrete installation). I contacted him about this situation and he came right out to help. I had to nudge them for a quick estimate, but it's a small inconvenience considering the trust I have in this company. Brian, his worker, came right on time, was friendly and ready to work, did a FANTASTIC job, cleaned everything beautifully, and made my kitchen look just like I wanted. I will ALWAYS call this company first from now on. And in case you're wondering who treated me so unprofessionally with my kitchen remodel? Imperial Remodeling. Never hire them.

Showed up on time and stated the job was difficult and he would discuss the job with his co-workers and have an estimate the next day. I never received an estimate or any further contact. Had another service come out, and they said they had no idea what he was talking about, that the job was straight forward, and would have it started in one week. Needless to say, I went with the other company and have had great service with them.
