It went very well from the beginning. He responded to my inquiry immediately and answered every phone call from me. The work turned out to be more complicated than he expected, he didn't charge extra and finished the work with the best service and attitude. His workers are very friendly and professional. Strongly recommend them to other people. I meant to give the review right after he finished work, but I was too busy... Will use them again in the future!

He was responsive to both email and phone and took the time to hear what occurred and some possible remedies.

Mario was very helpful and attentive -- he clearly explained the process and our options (this was especially helpful for us as first time homeowners). He worked with us to select the best option that met our budget and scheduling restrictions. They did a beautiful job in less time than originally estimated, from sanding to two complete coats in three days. I have already recommend his service to my friends.

First, we got estimates from few different flooring companies. Mario offered far more information than anyone else that came out for the estimates. From the beginning he informed us that going with a floor that is too black would give him more business because he will have to come back in the near future and refinish the floor frequently because all the little scratches would show quickly. Mario also worked well with us and gave his input on our desired finish and characteristics of the floor that we wanted. He also informed us of the quality of our current floors and the process which they would use to refinish them. From there they began sanding the floors. With that nearly done Mario showed us a few samples on our own floor of the different stains and possibilities. We were able to work with him on the spot to perfect the look we wanted. From there Mario and team did the whole process of staining and finishing the floors. The floors turned out very well even though the previous owner had replaced some of the flooring with different wood panels. When you look at the areas with the different wood panels you would never know they are different. Mario and team paid very close attention to getting those details right. Other than that Mario made sure he offered up all the advice on cleaning, maintaining, and keep high heels and work boots off the floor to help maintain the perfect finish. We felt he and his team to be very honest and hard working. Each day we would stop by the house to see the progress they were always cheerful and kept us informed of progress and anything else they noticed.

We don't have hardwood floors so I don't know if he did a good job. I thought it looked okay as far as I could tell. I did touch along the sides of the floors and I could feel sand. It felt gritty so I called him back up and he said that when he had opened the window to let it dry, it could have blown in debris. That could have been true because it was right along the edges where I saw the grit. He did come by to sand and redo it again. After I thought about it I am not sure if he put three coats on because he only came back one time. I should have said something to him. The floor does look better than the old worn down floor. We did get a couple of estimates. I thought he should have gone back over his work instead of us seeing and feeling the grit on the sides of the floor. I am very particular and I want a good job and I expect a professional to do the work. He was very nice and called me back right away when I called. He explained stuff to me. The only thing I think he should have done was to recheck his work.

He gave me a final quote that included refinishing and fixing certain areas or planks of wood. I liked this a lot better than the other quotes I got that charged per plank or per sqft. The process took 3 days which was shorter than the originally projected time of 4 days. He noted that the floor is a little thin and that he would take proper precautions to sand only a minimal amount. We did a final walk through before applying the poly layer. I am very happy with his work. The floor looks amazing!

I called Mario Diaz Flooring because my wooden floor creaks A LOT. I didn't know if I needed to repair the floor, or install new floor, or fix the beams. Our home is on a raised foundation and has areas of extreme noise. We were considering replacing the entire floor (COSTLY) or putting carpet (doesn't fix the noise). I didn't expect that he would offer to come by to inspect the floor and then give me a set of options to SAVE ME MONEY! He laid out a series of options, from the do-it-yourself fix all the way to an estimate for installing a new floor. He didn't push a product or a service, he DIDN'T exaggerate my problems to secure a sale . . . instead he was completely honest. And even though I didn't hire him to fix the creaky floors, I know I will hire him when it is time to SAND & RE-FINISH the floor.

Owner was very curtious and respectful. He was very knowledgable about his industry and offered me many options. The price was very good and his workers did an excellent job in putting in hardwood flooring very quickly. Definately will recommend this company to my friends and family.

I called Mario Diaz because the oak floors of my house needed some repairs and complete refinishing. He came out for an estimate, and described what he could do with the damaged sections. A couple of weeks later, I called him to schedule the work. He and his crew were very prompt (he actually called me from the road to say he was tied up in traffic, but still got there faster than I did) and as he said, 3 days later, the floors are beautiful. A couple of the sections that needed repair turned out to be bigger than initially anticipated, but he didn't increase the estimated price, which I appreciated greatly.

It came up to about $6000 to $8000. The price was okay. I hadn't decided and I wasn't sure if I was going to do the wood or tile and then I decided that I would probably do the tile. The first time he came out he was pretty much on time. He was nice, very courteous and I thought he was fair. He gave me the estimate and for some reason I had problems getting it. I don't know if it was the server or whatever. I said that he didn't send me the estimate and he said that he did and I got it a day later and I don't know if there was something wrong from my side or ? I would consider using him if I am doing the work.

They showed up earlier than they said they were going to be there. They worked until they got the job done. They did a good job of refinishing the floors.

i cloud not be any more happy with the work mario did in my house my family loves it my friends love it and i really really love it. i would recomend mario diaz flooring to everyone.

He?s on time, clean and gave a fair estimate. He had no hidden fees. He was meticulous in making me happy before he left. He gave me some extra samples in case I needed to refer to them. I am very pleased with his service.

Mario Diaz was knowledgeable and did a fantastic job on my 20 year worn hardwood floors. He went out of his way to explain the process to me and even show me different tools, preferred techniques for sanding and refinishing, etc. It was very informative. He was also kind enough to replace some pieces in need of replacement using reclaimed wood from some of his previous clients so the wood would match, and it did. Of course I will have to see how the floors wear over the next few years but as far as the end result of Mario Diaz Flooring, I am satisfied.

Mario is passionate about what he does and he get the job done. When he was giving us the estimate he also explained a lot about the work that needed to be performed and how to take care of the floor once it is finished. After we confirmed the working days he came on time and finished everything in 2 days. We were very happy with the result. Our floor now looks fantastic and shiny, and will definitely recommend Mario to anyone who want to have beautiful floors.

He is very good, reliable, prompt. He did a great job on my floor.

Overall Mario did a good job. The craftsmanship was good. The only thing Mario needs to improve on is the communication regarding what will be done. It was made very clear from the 1st meeting that I wanted the job done right. After the 1st coat of polyurethane dried I inspected the floors and found that numerous boards that were very dark (possibly old water damage) were not replaced. I brought it to his attention and he replaced them for an additional cost ($395). The extra cost was not the issue. I should not have had to bring it to his attention in the first place or he should have added it to the original estimate. On the plus side he was willing to make parquet pieces as needed. Only one of 4 people who gave estimates. Others wanted to order it from manufacturer at exorbitant costs. Overall I was satisfied. Wife's Comments:The experience with them was not as good as we would have hoped. He didn't listen to our request first of all, was in real rush to take care of business and we didn't get the final product done the way we would have liked it. I guess the experience could have been a lot worst for us because we had never worked with this person before but thankfully it was a second home. His prices were moderate; they weren't low but they weren't high too. He was pretty good in terms of responsiveness and showed up when he said he would. He played the game really well and that's why we hired him but the ultimate result was that he didn't give us what we expected. He gave us an okay presentation and all that but I didn't get what I expected.

I could not have had a better experience. Mario Diaz is a wonderful professional and a person. His crew is also as proficient and kind. I felt that Mario was definitely willing to put 100% in his work. He is honest, professional, kind, caring and helped me in many additional ways that I did not first foresee. His charges were very fair. They were prompt. They worked very long hours to complete the project in a timely manner and they were always courteous. Mario Diaz is a true gem of a professional!
