Mario Diaz Flooring

Mario's team sanded and refinished approx. 2000 sq ft of engineered hardwood flooring for my house. Even the stairs were done. They worked some magic because my floors were full of deep scratches and dents. They were able to sand away the scratches and fill in the dents. We are quite amazed by the results! His team also fixed some water damaged planks and I can barely see the damaged areas now. The team was very professional and prompt. One downside was the huge amount of dust produced by their sanding machines, but that's a minor inconvenience for the great results produced by their team.

Mario came over and took a look at our house; he made measurements and then was able to give us an estimate for his services. We purchased the hardwood elsewhere, which he had no problem with. We had 2 other guys come out and give us estimates and decided to go with Mario because of his knowledge and the fair price he offered. On the first day I met Mario and gave him a key (we hadn't move into the property yet). He showed me around and asked questions to ensure they'd put in the kind of baseboards we want, as well as which direction the hardwood should run, etc. From that point, we left it in their hands. We did get updates from Mario and he was available to answer any questions. We were even having furniture delivered while they were there (and we weren't but would have to go out to the house) and he said they'd stay there for the delivery for us. Talk about service! But, back to the floor. We are in love! Mario and his team placed the flooring beautifully. The wood runs seamlessly through each room. It's pretty much perfect. Every day we look at our floors and smile. The many positive reviews speak were what led us to Mario and his team - and I'm happy to report they're accurate. I highly recommend Mario and his crew!

We had Mario sand and refinish our floors when we bought the house 4 years ago. At that time, he let us know that our original wooden floors were on their last limb and couldn't be sanded down again after that (they're nearly 100 years old). So this time, Mario came to simply re-varnish and seal the entire floor. They did all 1300 sq ft in one day. It looks fantastic. Mario and his guys did a great job both times they worked from us. When it comes time to completely redo our floors we will be giving him a call.

Our house was built in 1926 and the hardwoods in our kitchen are actually a sub floor. They were covered with tile, then linolium and the worst thick layer of tar ever! I never thought they could turn out so beautifully, but Mario and his guys made it happen. There were even large areas of rotted floor and Mario had the exact wood pieces and replaced them. The floor is gorgeous and we are thrilled.

They were on time and very professional and did a great job. Because there were a few damaged spots they missed one. I called them and they came back the next day and finished the repairs. I have used Mario before and would highly recommend them.

Mario and his ample team were fast cheerful and very professional. They removed all of the old carpet, prepped the floors beautifully. The floors in the living room were very damaged and required two bleachings and light staining. The damage is gone and they look better than new. AWSOME! These men are truly artists at what they do.

Mario responded immediately. Came out next day to take measurements and provide estimate. Work scheduled to start 2 days later, only because I needed to clear furniture. Mario and crew arrived promptly and did prep work on day one. By end of day 2, the first coat had been done. I couldn't believe they were the same floors. I was kept apprised of progress and small additional cost due to condition of floors. Work was done end of day 3. Incredible job. Great communication and response time. Great crew. Highly recommend.

Mario Diaz Flooring came into my home, inspected my floors, and covered all options and realistic expectations on what to expect, not only in terms of how well my 50 years old floors would come out, but in the whole process. All employees I dealt with were both friendly and helpful, from the time I received the original quote all the way to the end when as they cleaned up and finalized their work. The end result is what is most important of course and I am very satisfied with how everything came out. In my case, I had rooms with varying degrees of wear and damage, and some sections of the house flooring were redone previously. By following their recommendations and having their team complete the work, my floors look great now and all rooms finally blend together perfectly. I would recommend the Mario Diaz team without regret, and will use them again myself in about 5 years as recommended to buff and clean for maintenance purposes.

When I moved into my new place, the floors were near black engineered hardwood, which was too dark for me. They were also peeling in certain spots. Mario took the time to sand one of the spare boards before starting and discovered the underlying floor was Walnut (lucky me). Rather than staining, Mario recommended doing 3 coats of poly to keep the natural character of the floor, which turned out terrific. There were a few bumps along the way but Mario always went out of his way to make things right. Would definitely use him again.

My situation was complicated in that the floor damage happened at my customer's home. I called Mario to get a quote and he called me back within 30 minutes. I explained that my customer's home had 45 year old wood floors and Mario said that he would do his best to match the quality and stain of the existing flooring. He quoted me between $1,500 - $2,000 for the job which was going to take 2-3 days. His crew showed up on time, were extremely professional and sent me pictures of the work along the way. My customer even asked for the hallway to be sanded and restained so the seam of the new flooring would match, and after calling me to approve the extra work, they finished the hallway in the same timeframe. The wood floors matched perfectly. I will be recommending Mario Diaz Flooring to anyone that has a hard to match wood floor or any flooring for that matter. The job ended up costing LESS than the original quote and my customer is happy, which means I'm happy.

We recently purchased a condo and needed the hardwood floors cleaned. When we called for Mario to come out, he kept in constant contact via text as he was caught in traffic. Once there, Mario took a initial view of the floors, walked around, and did some observations. He then proceeded to walk is through the measurements, costs, expectations, and a variety of techniques and options that were available to us. We had a lot of questions and Mario patiently answered them all and walked us through what his team was going to do. After we decided on the level of work we needed, Mario proceeded to show pictures of comparable work from his iPad. He then quoted us a price and date of execution. When we went to our new place afterwards, the floors were amazing. We have had many contractors and vendors come in and remark on how great the floors look. I highly recommend Mario to anyone that needs floor cleaning services.

Mario is a great contractor. I had to redo some of my wall, which left part of my floor damaged and had to be repaired. I called Mario up and he was very responsive. I sent him pictures of the floor needing repair and the current wood. He scavenged across distributors to find an exact floor match, which was very difficult to find. No other contractor went out of their way to find the same piece of wood. We got very lucky. Every time I had a question or issue, he responded within a couple of hours. No other contractor did that. On the day of the job, he came in with three other workers. They went right to work. As they did the work, they explained to me every step of the way, what they had to do and how to take care of my floor. There were some parts of the job that they couldn't do because they weren't hardwood floor related, but he gave me a reference to someone else who could do it. Great work. If I have a floor issue, I'm calling Mario Diaz again.

Floors needed some work due to a previous tenant who caused damage to floors and also they were looking dull. Mario recommended a buff and recoat due to the fact that the floors are pretty thin and also I had a tight budget. His crew arrived and got right to work. They sanded the two damaged areas and then buffed and applied a coated the floor. Also patched the floor where there were gaps/cracks with wood filler. Mario explained that the damaged areas may not match 100% but it was hardly noticeable when he was done. If I had more time he could probably apply a few more coats on those areas to make them match better but I was in a hurry. The result was fantastic! I would highly recommend Mario and use his company in the future.

I called four highly-rated Angie's List providers to have them come to my home and give me an estimate on the cost of refinishing a nearly 60-year-old parquet hardwood floor. Of those four providers, Mario Diaz was the only one who took the time to visit me. The other three I called asked me to measure the room's square footage and then they would give me an estimate over the phone based on my measurement. Obviously, these providers had way too much business for my project. Mario Diaz was prompt and polite. He explained the process and gave me what I considered to be a fair estimate. He and his crew arrived on time the day of the appointment. They did an amazing job. The floor looks like a million bucks. I couldn't have asked for a for a better, more professional experience.
