The King of Painters did an excellent job. The work was very neat and clean. They were very responsive to the little details. The site foreman was very astute and conscientious. All my contacts with the KOP were very satisfying.

They were the highly respectful of all the small moveable items. Masked off everything. Showed up on time. Cleaned up every day, and made sure nothing was out of place. Polite, careful, meticulous work. I would only use this company to do all my painting interior and exterior. They also do landscape and remodeling work, which I should have used instead of the two awful companies that did my outside work.

They were very professional. They were very creative and they gave me some different options on picking color for the building, the trim versus the stucco, and very modern. They modernized my building, very good ideas. He has a big enough crew that the work was done quickly. They showed up at very convenient times and on time, so my tenants won't be disturbed. They showed up like around 8:00 in the morning, and not too early and they left about 4:30 so they wouldn't be there making noise during the dinner hour. They were very considerate. I had a tenant in the front unit that just had a baby, and they saved all the work for the front unit. They did all that first so that by the time they came home from the hospital, they were done in the front not making noise. They just went the extra mile in terms of convenience for my tenants. They also did a very good job on the paint job. They were very clean. They clean up all their mess. There was no sloppy painting anywhere. There were no missed spots. They did a very high quality job. They did all the doors. They replaced all woods from the front of the building with new modern materials. They also painted my fence with coordinating colors.

We have used the King of Painters a couple of time previously. They show up as scheduled, they do a professional job and always clean up after the project. All of the crews we have had in our home are professional, friendly and take pride in their work. They are also very patient if you want to adjust the project a little. I already have plans for them to come back for another project.

They were very good in their price and they did what they said they were going to do, and they do good quality work.

Four house painters were selected from Angie's List to bid. All were asked the same questions regarding the painting of a large and complex house. KOP did the most expert job. Their suggestions on how to handle problem areas and colors were the best. Their bid was competitive. The crew could not have been better. I have not seen such hard work and dedication to a job well done. People stop and stare, wow what a job. Thank You KOP. John

I used them two years back. They are the kings, and they can do anything. They are way above anything I have come across.

They didn’t charge me for a lot of the extra stuff and they did a great job! They were very knowledgeable, and it felt good that the owner came out and gave me the estimate himself. They went above and beyond the call of duty.

The were responsive, courteous, and completed the scope of work to my satisfaction.

They did very good work, they actually had to remove lead paint before they started, and they did so under the new CA laws. The paint job is starting to bubble but on the whole we had a really good experience.

They did good work, and they were on time. It was a reasonable and fair price. We are waiting for them to come back for a repeat visit on a small problem. I have tried 3-4 times to get connected. We haven’t done it yet; we are still trying.

AMAZING, AMAZING, comes to mind as I begin my review of this exceptional company. Bob Lyon is the owner of the company and he knows his business. I had him paint my home 11 years ago and knew that I needed to paint again. I got a number of bids, but Bob won out due to his professionalism and his work ethic. Even though his bid was not the least expensive, I knew that I could rely and trust his crew to paint my home without incident. His crew was punctual, clean, tidy and respectful. I had a chance to cook and made a huge pot of chili for the crew for lunch one day. It was such a pleasrue to to learn about them from a personal standpoint. Family men who were all trying to teach their children about values and a solid work ethic. It was such a pleasure to stop and take time with them. These men were craftsmen in painting. My interior and exterior looks marvelous. I am so pleased and happy. If you want quality work, reliability, honesty and follow-through, I would HIGHLY recommend calling King of the Painter's for ALL your painting needs.

Great job! Bob Lyons (the owner) came out for the estimate. The wife and I weren't sure of what colors to use for our house. We asked Bob to come up with the color schemes for our house. Boy, did he do a good job with picking the colors! The wife & I would never been able to come up with such a great color scheme. Bob is not just a painter, he's got an artistic eye for colors. I didn't want just a painter, I wanted someone to help me come up with something unique. I wanted my track home to look custom, after it was painted; and that's what I got. If you need help customizing your home and want your home to "pop", call King of the Painters. If you don't care what about making your home stand out, call any laborer. The painters for "King of the Painters" were very good, and very friendly. They used top of the line paint from Dunn Edwards. Everything that was not to be painted was masked off and covered. Care was taken to protect my stucco and windows. Everything was completed in a timely manner and I was consulted every step of the way. When the house neared competion, a supervisor came out to follow up on his workers, and ask if I had any problems, questions or needs, regarding the work being done. I can't rave enough about the "King"! For a great looking house, call King of the Painters.

I requested the estimate on August 23rd or so and the painting was completed by September 21st. They charged me the state authorized 10% deposit and then sent me some literature to prepare my house. On the week of the 17th of September they power washed my house and patched a lot of cracked wood and stucco (very good job patching). They removed all loose dirt, cobwebs and pulled the soil away from the foundation so the paint would look even all the way to the ground. The workers would arrive between 7:30 - 8:00 am (I cannot be sure exactly when) daily and get right to work. When I would come home everyday at about 5:30pm, the exterior of the house was kept orderly. There was no trash in the yard or painting related items shoved into my trash container (which I really appreciate because I have had a lot of contractors dump all kinds of things in my trash). All workers were gone prior to my arrival everyday. When I arrived home on Friday after work, all of the detail work was completed and dry. It looked like I had a brand new house.

They were really good when they came out. I was really impressed with how knowledgable they were.

They were excellent. They had excellent color recommendations, their workmanship was outstanding and the workers were friendly. The tenant in this apartment building just had baby so they were very considerate about when they were working, and gave a lot of heads up about what they were going to do near her unit. They had replaced some storage doors and I had an issue about it not sitting right. I just called them up four weeks later and they came right out the next day and rehung the doors. The work was done as per schedule. It was a big job and it went very smoothly. I was very pleased with the owner and his crew. I got three estimates and he was very comparable. I chose him because of the feedback that I read on Angies List and also the portfolio job he had done in the community. I recommend them to others.

Did a good job the first year, after that there work has been downhill. They broke a screen door in the house. The screen door also rusted. They used the house bathroom and got paint all over the toilet seat. I would not recommend.

King of the Painters is the Best of the Best! This is our second time using this company. As with our first experience painting the exterior of our home, our second project painting the interior was as seamless as the first. The crown mouldings, new baseboards, lighting, granite countertops, and colors are truly amazing. I could not be happier with the individual attention to detail Bladimir and his crew performed. They were exceptional, always there on time bright and early every morning, always courteous, polite, and helping make this process as effortless as possible. The owner Bob Lyon put his artistry to work choosing all of our colors and finishes. He has great ideas! This company really shines providing us once again with a "Magazine Worthy" look. Unlike most of the contractors we have used in the past these guys are truly "King" when it comes to updating your home!!

This review is for work done several years old , but we only recently became Angie's List members. The King of the Painters owner, Bob Lyon, came by to give us an estimate. We were not sure what color to paint our exterior trim, but Bob has a "painters eye" as to color combinations and their use that made color selection a breeze. We were going to remove the acoustic ceiling ourselves, but after discussing this with Bob, we decided to let King of the Painters do it. We're are so glad that we did. Bob's crew did a marvelous job scraping off the old acoustic ceiling, containing the dust and dirt, re-plastering and painting the ceiling. No gouges, no missed spots, just a great job. We were also going to install our own can lights, but after talking with Bob, we decided it would be much easier for us to have his crew do the installation prior to repainting the rooms. Again, we were so glad we did. Crawling around in a hot, dusty attic installing can lights would not have made for a fun weekend. Our job was a multi-day effort and Bob's crew always arrived on time and put in a full work day. They always left our home in broom clean condition and did a thorough cleanup at the end of the project. Bob was not the low bidder, but after interviewing two other contractors we were convinced that King of the Painters had the experience and integrity to do our project right the first time. Based on our experience, we highly recommend King of the Painters.

It was great service and they gave a good guarantee on it. The crew was really respectful and great. They did a great job.

They installed crown moldings and painted the interior of my home about 5 years ago. I had bids that were between $2000 and $6000. King of the Painters were the highest bidders. The first thing the owner Bob Lyons did after I signed the contract was to go on vacation for like 3 weeks and I was left to tell the painters things that Bob and I discussed. (never mentioned that at all in the quote). The painters took every short cut that they could when painting, and I hired them because I thought they would be excellent painters based on the price. I found out thats not true the hard way. I just wanted everything painted right, and that's what I said to Bob. Then Bob says to me that I was an "exceptional customer", after I was complaining about the job his guys were doing - I think it was his way of saying I was a pain in the a**. His employees were quitting daily, and one of his painters (Aaron) was talking bad about me right on the other side of an open window where I was standing. What a goofball. Lets not talk about the new rookie painters helper removing my washer hose from my utility tub when they were washing their tools, and never putting it back in. When I did my next load of wash the water pumped out all over the floor, ruining all of my crown moldings. They paid for them, but he didnt offer to, i pretty much insisted. These guys are no better than any other run of the mill painting company to me, and I would not hire them again. I would rather hire a demolition company to paint my house first. You know I really didnt like them if I am doing this review 5 years later, but I just joined Angies List this week and felt it was right to share what happened.

I love this company. The texturing job on the hallway is beautiful.

Skilled workers to repair damage. Estimation of time was correct. Cooperative. Good cleanup. I had watched the same company paint the neighbor's home. I was mostly interested in the repairs and prep. I am thrilled with the results.

They did a good job on the exterior of my home; however, the painting work on the interior was not done very well. They have redone two rooms; however, I have tried to get them back to redo the remaining painting on the interior of my home since April. They do not listen to the customer; and they are very spacey when it comes to rescheduling; they do not call you back when they say they will. The grades reflect the the job they did on the interior of my home; the exterior was a great job.
